More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today's post includes special edition bottles from Lolita Lempicka, Yves Saint Laurent and Azzaro, plus a new Extrait de Parfum version of Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540.
Lolita Lempicka celebrates the 20th anniversary of their eponymous fragrance, now known as Lolita Lempicka Mon Premier Parfum, with an updated (less apple-y) design for the brand's apple bottle (see below), and a collector edition (see above, at Nocibe in France, €108 for 100 ml).
From Yves Saint Laurent, the Pure Illusion edition of Black Opium: " The bottle has been reimagined with black glitter stripes in a criss-cross shape, interspersed with a crystalline rose, while the luminous pink colour of the eau de parfum shines through." Via diarydirectory.
From Azzaro, Wanted in the Freeride edition: "Introducing Azzaro Wanted Freeride Collector for 2017. A limited edition bottle inspired by the mechanical universe. Azzaro Wanted is dressed in a striking, metal lacquered bottle with an industrial brushed metal effect making this limited edition a collector's object. Azzaro Wanted is a woody, citrus and spicy Eau de Toilette with a fresh, sensual and captivating masculinity." 100 ml for £59 at Debenhams in the UK.
From Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Baccarat Rouge 540 in Extrait de Parfum: "Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait de parfum intensifies the power and radiance of the three breaths that compose the Eau de parfum without betraying its original inspiration. Born of the perfumer's mastery and time-tested wisdom, this Extrait de parfum is, for Francis Kurkdjian, a culmination." €295 for 70 ml.
Man, too bad I didn’t like Black Opium much. That bottle is pretty.
I am luckily not a glitter bottle fan. Plus, like the old Lolita Lempicka bottle much better than the new. So nothing for me today…
Agree. The apple shape bottle of Lolita Lempicka is gorgeous. I do not like much this new design.
Yep, me too. Why mess with a good design?
Me four! I’m feeling fortunate that I’m not fond of the LL scent, or I’d be scrambling to buy one of those apple bottles.
The Black Opium bottle is pretty nice!
See above 🙂
You guys can have it!
That Lolita Lempicka bottle looks like the bottle for Loverdose, IMO.
Yeah, it sorta does. I liked the apple.
Me too. It was especially cute as a mini.
The Azzaro bottle is really horrible.
Agree. I really dislike the concept. I was going to make a bad/sad joke about it needing a “trigger warning” but I”ll just quit here. Ugh.
Indeed, it looks exactly like the cylinder of a revolver. What a strange concept.
I wonder if it’s selling?
They push it hard @ the local Macys.
It is a grim musk concoction.
:/
Thanks. Not sure pushing anything hard at Macy’s matters anymore, right? I mean, Macy’s is struggling.
I prefer the original Lolita bottle, one of the best imho.
I love that red Kurkdjian bottle, will never own it, but it’s gorgeous.
And I was admiring mostly the box! It’s a darned nice red box.
No you are right the box is even better, but who would be crazy enough to buy for just a pretty box?
Not (even) I.
Yes to the Baccarat Rouge 540 bottle in red! Already have the eau de parfum and a little goes a looong way so no need for the extrait. Plus that price! ???? I did wonder why the edp didn’t come in a red bottle to begin with.
Re: the Lolitas. If it ain’t broke…
As an avid collector of the apples, I’m pretty horrified at this geometric monstrosity. The original spray mechanisms were a problem for those who did not know how to run them so maybe the new top is an improvement. Won’t be joining my collection. Where’s chocolatemarzipan8 when we need her? She’ll have an opinion!
