Vilhelm Parfumerie Basilico & Fellini ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 14 June 2017 8 Comments

Vilhelm Parfumerie Basilico & Fellini

Vilhelm Parfumerie has launched Basilico & Fellini, a new fragrance.

Federico Fellini, the film-making maestro, fused art and sensuality in everything he did. [Vilhelm founder] Jan Ahlgren knows his life in depth, including the rumor that Fellini requested extra basil with his meals for its aphrodisiac effect.

The scent is cooly seductive with dragon fruit and basil top notes…violet, wild fig, vetiver and green hay.

Vilhelm Parfumerie Basilico & Fellini is available now at Barneys, $245 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I’m really into this bottle. It would look awesome on a vintage wooden dressing table (which i will someday own). You know, the kind with a matching mirror and a seat and pretty carvings and door handles.

Woof, just looked at the price. I could buy my dressing table for that, lol!

Yes, probably! Most of their fragrances also end up in a smaller size (10 or 15 ml, can’t remember), for around $80, if that helps.

Yeah. I would buy one if they were more like $50.

That company is not on the lazy side of new releases 😉

Right! Not the worst either, but right.

Not at all..it wasn’t any complains…I think their bottles are great and I like the concept and their perfumes notes always seems interesting 🙂 But I think that in this year so far, they have released..um..4 fragrances or so? And now this 🙂
I have never smelled any of their fragrances but I hope they are daring in some ways 🙂
I miss the days when perfume houses released a fragrance once a year..or every other…and they were brilliant..but I think those days are gone..sadly. Now it’s 4 or 5 releases a year and ever so often, they release a series of 6 and they are all boring and no fun 🙁
