French niche line Jul et Mad has launched a second trio of fragrances in the Les Whites collection: Bella Donna, Fugit Amor and Mon Seul Désir.
Bella Donna ~ "A portrait of mystery, seductive and addictive The absolute feminine beauty is reflected in this seductive composition inspired by one of the world's most intriguing feminine portraits, "La Belle Ferronnière", by Leonardo Da Vinci. An explosion of senses, so opposed - but blended to perfection, portraying the contrast between an apparent rigid, almost severe, cold attitude and the passion, the fervor, the warmth and extreme tenderness hidden behind a look charged with contained emotions… The pureness and the magnificence of Magnolia Alba Flower are emphasized here by the most elegant, carnal, enveloping floral accord: Centifolia Rose, Jasmin and Ylan-Ylang, Orris… Its sensuality and eternal elegance are pushed to the extreme by a very attractive, most sensual base of saffron, benzoin, labdanum and musk…" A floral developed by perfumer Luca Maffei. Additional notes include bergamot, ginger, mulberry, sandalwood and opoponax.
Fugit Amor ~ "Inspired by one of Rodin's chefs d'œuvres, this unique and intriguing fragrance balances at perfection the contrast between the cold, rigid, thick, powerful aspect of the marble and its fragility, warmth and finesse exposed under the artist's caress… A revelation of a perfect work of art, charged with emotions that burst and nourish the flame of a forbidden love… A most exquisite interpretation of the Carnation, with a great accent on its spicy facets: an explosive start of pepper, elemi, ginger, cardamom and cinnamon, for a crystalline facet, cold, almost frozen to this creation, inspired by the transparency and the finesse of the marble; a floral heart that bursts with warmth, recalling the emotions that nourish the flame of a forbidden love; a most beautiful base, extremely comforting, where green-woody notes vibrate powerfully on a sensual musk bed for an exceptional longevity…" The spicy green floral was developed by perfumer Stéphanie Bakouche. Additional notes include pink pepper, vetiver, cedar and amber.
Mon Seul Désir ~ "This enveloping, caressing elixir is inspired by one of the greatest works of art of the Middle Age in Europe, La Dame à la Licorne (The Lady and the Unicorn), the sixth of the famous, yet anonymous, tapestries series. The elegance, pushed to the extreme, unveils a magical dream, fascinating, charged with fatal attractiveness and an only desire…A bed of musk, amber and leather, infinitely sensual and caressing… An osmanthus of extreme elegance and highlighted with spicy accents to unveil a fatal beauty, absolute fascination… A vibrant oud for an incomparable sensation, awakening an unknown, unique feeling, burning with desire… This veritable concert of enveloping accords vibrates with unique sensations, to awaken an unexplainable feeling, burning with desire…" The spicy floriental was developed by perfumer Stéphanie Bakouche. Additional notes include nutmeg, mandarin, pink pepper, coriander, benzoin and guaiac wood.
Jul et Mad Bella Donna, Fugit Amor and Mon Seul Désir are available in 5 or 50 ml Extrait de Parfum.

I have tried almost nothing from this line — and can’t even remember which I tried! I do like that they do the 5 ml bottles.
I can’t help being interested in these despite not having had strong reactions to the Jul et Mad line in the past.
I notice they’re taking art as inspiration now, rather than their own love story, as with the original fragrances.
They’ve run out of personal love story 🙂
