Amouage Figment ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 27 May 2017 10 Comments

Amouage Figment

Amouage has launched Figment, a new fragrance duo.

Figment Woman ~ "Amouage’s Figment for Women unveils the magnetism and magnificence of the poetic embroidered garden of Chong’s mind’s eye, opening capriciously with peppery and bittersweet accents of Sichuan pepper and saffron embellished with the green tones of Gardenia. In its heart, tuberose is adorned with garlands of silky sensuality from jasmine sambac, orange blossoms, lisylang and cassia. While in the base, papyrus and patchouli ensure a mesmerising trail." Additional notes include orris and incense. 100 ml Eau de Parfum for £245.

Figment Man ~ "In Amouage’s Figment for Man, Chong artfully contrasts and juxtaposes scents to explore the nuances of these illusions. Opening with notes of lemon, geranium and pink pepper, the composition transcends into a luminous heart of sandalwood that dramatically entwines with animalic accord, vetiver and leather. While in the base, labdanum, guaiac wood and balsamic tones laced with musk ensure a mesmerising trail." 100 ml Eau de Parfum for £235.

Amouage Figment is available now at Selfridges in the UK.

Why doesn’t anyone ever advertise that my mind’s eye has “magnetism and magnificence” or a “poetic embroidered garden”?

Not sure that either of these sound like my cuppa but I’ll probably sample them anyhow eventually, just out of curiosity.

Silly me. The name made me thing it was going to be a fig-centric scent. Gorgeous colors for the bottles, though.

Me too, I’ve had to read the notes twice as I though I did not see the fig note the first time!

I’d like to sample Figment Man. I was all excited about the name, too, thinking it was a new fig scent.
Love the floral on the box – can I get a silk scarf with that pattern?! ????

It would be perfect for a scarf, wouldn’t it? Lovely!

I’m getting exhausted with the number of releases from this house. I remain loyal, but I miss the slower paced releases and the more opulent fragrances. Having said that, I will most likely buy the woman’s fragrance and maybe the man’s. I’m not giving up yet!

Let’s just say I’m saving my pennies for Jubilation 25. Wonderful bottles though.

Sounds interesting enough to sample, pretty bottle. None of the last 4-5 releases have done anything for me but there’s always hope.
