I live in the US! Fave ELDO is Rossy de Palma
I live in the USA. Favorite ELDO is Rien. Thank you Robin for this draw.
Living in New Jersey. I love Tilda Swinton’s Libre D’Orange! It makes me nostalgic for fall days.
Robin, thank you for the draw. I live in the USA. My favorite ELDO is Fils de Dieu.
I live in USA. My favorite is “Like This” – opening is wonderful then I get maple syrup towards the finish. Nice on a cold day! Thank you!
I live in the US and my favorite ELDO is Don’t Get Me Wrong Baby.
I live in Miami, FL USA!
Fav ELDO: Bendelirious
I live in Houston, in the US! My favorite ELDO so far is Remarkable People, but I recently picked up the discovery kit, so that may change.
I am in the USA and you can contact me via email
my favorite is Etat Libre d’Orange Bijou Romantique
I’m in the U.S. Don’t know near enough of the ELDO scents as I’d like. Am fond if Jasmin et Cigarette, Afternoon of a Faun, Like This….
I live in the U.S. The only ELdO scent I have tried is Like This, and I didn’t like it… Now where is that sample so I can try it again? 😉
As always, thanks for the giveaways! 🙂
I live in the US and my favorite ELdO scent would be a toss up between Like This (the autumn scent I didn’t know I needed!) and Jasmin et Cigarette.
Thank you for the giveaway!
I live in the US and I have never sniffed an ELDO (not consciously at least). I know, right!? Based on descriptions I think I would like Jasmin et Cigarette since jasmine is one of my favorite notes of all time. I would love to try You or Someone Like You.
I don’t currently own a perfume inspired by literature. I do have Edgar Allen Poe and John Steinbeck inspired candles. Also Sherlock Holmes, but that one smells overwhelmingly of pipe.
I’m in the US. I haven’t had a chance to sample any ELD’O fragrances, but I’m particularly curious about this one since I loved the Chandler Burr novel and reside in Los Angeles
I got a sampler set of ELDO for Christmas and my fave of the seven was Putain des Palaces. I live in the US. Thanks for the draw!
I live in the US. I enjoy Bendelirious, Dangerous Complicity, and Fat Electrician. I’ve tried and felt meh about Delicious Closet Queen, Bijou Romantique, and Like This. I love Jasmin et Cigarette. I am most looking forward to trying Rossy de Palma, Encens et Bubble Gum, and You or Someone Like You!
I can provide a US mailing address. I’d love to smell Portrait of a Lady and see if it reminds me of the novel.
My favorite ELDO is Jasmine et Cigarette, which inevitably sends me back, Proustian style, to my college dorm, which smelled heavily of (yes!) jasmine and cigarettes.
I live in the US.
Thank you for the giveaway!
Thanks for the drawing, Robin !
I live in the U.S.A. and you have permission to use my email address.
Rien Intense Incense is my favorite ELDO.
Cheers!
Wow! crossing my fingers.
I live in the U.S.A.
My fave ELDO scent is Like This or Fat Electrician
Good luck to all of us!
I tested this and loved it, hope to win the bottle!
Fave EldO – Bijoux Romantique
Live in US, you can use my email
Thanks
I’m in the US and my favorite ELDOs are La Fin du Monde and Rien. If really pushed, Rien would win by a nose but that popcorn is just so much fun!
Haven’t tried any of the newest ones and have been lemming this one and Hermann a Mes Cotes etc.
I live in the US. My favorite ELDO’s must be Rien and Sécrétions magnifiques.
I live in the USA….and my fave ELdO is Fils de Dieu!
Thanks for having the giveaway!
I live in this US. The only ELdO I’ve tried is Fils de Dieu. I enjoyed it, and I would love to sample the entire line!
Thank you for the chance to win!????
I live in the US. My favorite ELDO is Jasmine et cigarette.
I live in the US. There are 3 ELDOs that I really like: Jasmine et Cigarette, Rossy de Palma, and Like this.
Thank you
My fave ELDO so far is Like This, but I’ve been meaning to try more!
I am in the US and love Like This.
Also, every time I wear L’Heure Bleue I think of the book Outlander because the main character mentions it several times. Thanks!
I live in the USA. I like ELDO Rien.
Thank you for the giveaway! I live in the US and of course you can use my email. I like a lot of ELDOs but my favorite is probably Rossy de Palma (I think now called Eau de Protection).
I live in the USA.
1) “Without change, something sleeps inside us, and seldom awakens. The sleeper must awaken.” Am going through the Dune series again with some friends. The SPICE melange is an geriaritic and atmospheric, allowing you to see WITHIN. I can’t think of a perfume that inspires this BUT I can think of a candle- Malin & Goatez ‘Cannabis’ candle, which does not smell of weed, but does seem to invoke the inherent beauty and power of the desert, Spice and sandworms.
2) Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab made a wonderful scent called Mr. Nancy, just in time for American Gods. It smells JUST like what Ananzi/Mr. Nancy would smell like- bay rum and sweet cookies, cool drinks and crisp kerchiefs. Perfect for layering over Florida Water.
I live in the US and you are always permitted to contact me by email or any method you choose. My favorite fiction inspired fragrance is The Cobra And The Canary by Imaginary Authors. My dear friend in NYC met the IA fragrance line creator at a trade show and ordered the entire line on the spot in the 10ml travel sprays. He laughed at me when he called me regarding “a new surprise” for me to try and once again I already knew about the line, via Robin on NST, and immediately purchased the TC&TC and Bull’s Blood. I am in love with both and the compliments pour in every time I wear them. So funny, the fragrances that I LOVE, always garner compliments, but these two from IA have just blown it out of the water. My usual fare are from the school of dark silage monsters, so the delicious leather and the sister to Burning Barbershop by DS&D from IA must be a welcome change from my usual suspects, haha.
I live in the US. Favorite ELDO (so far) is a tie between Jasmin Et Cigarettes and Fat Electrician.
I live in the US. My recent sample of “You or Someone like You” is actually my favorite ELDO (though I’ve only tried a few). I love me a gin & tonic (both to drink and to smell).
I live in the US! My favorite ELdO to wear is Jasmin et Cigarette but my favorite to smell not on me is Fat Electrician.
I live in the United States I have sampled a few ELDO, and did like Fat Electrician, and Like This. I felt I would have enjoyed some others, if I could have sprayed instead of dabbed. You can contact me by my email. Thanks for the contest!
My mailing address is in the US and you may contact me by email. Taking the easy route by answering with my favorite ELdO: Fils de Dieu du Riz et des Agrumes. One of the few bottles in my collection that works equally perfectly in all 4 seasons. (Which I also think would be a fun Friday theme!)
I live in the United States, and my favorite ELDO scent is Fat Electrician.
I lice in the US and you may use my email. I recently, yesterday in fact, had someone suggest the book of the same name and it now is waiting on my amazon list.
I live in the US. I like both Jasmin et Cigarette and Like This in the ELDO line. The only fiction related fragrance I can think of is Paperback by Demeter.
I live in the U.S. and my fave ELDO is Like This (or Tom of Finland)….Thanks
I live in the USA and you can contact me by email. My favorite ELDO is Like This. My favorite literature inspired fragrance is CB I Hate Perfume’s A Room With a View.
Hi, I live in the U.S. and my favorite ELDO is Fat Electrician. I always get compliments when I wear it!
I am in the U.S. and like Jasmin et Cigarette but detest real cigarettes.
What a coincidence: I’m wearing You or Someone Like You today!! I’m quickly draining a sample vial. This may be my new favorite ELDO. Thanks for the opportunity to win a bottle! I live in the US.
I live in the U. S. Thanks for the generous draw, Robin! I don’t always care for the ELDO perfume names but hat really counts is the juice!
I live in the US!
I lover “Like This” and gobbled up my decant quickly. And I love Chandler Burr and the idea behind this frag. ElDO, keep up the good work!!
I live in the U.S.
My favorite ELDO is Jasmin et Cigarette, probably because I never smell any cigarettes!!
I have a small sample of You or Someone Like You, and I have very much enjoyed it. To me, it is a very happy scent.
Thank you for the drawing.
I’m in the southwest US, wishing it would cool down, just a few degrees would be perfect, and very much enjoying longer days with cool nights.
favorite ELdO = Bijou Romantique. The dry down is old school gorgeousness. So grateful a sample came my way.
Enjoyed reading all the favorites in these comments. 😀
Thank you for the truly generous draw.
I live in the U.S., and am grateful for that more than ever.
Favorite ELdO…so hard. I love this brand. Force my hand, it’s Rien (the one where I LAUGHED risibly when I first smelt it, had to go running to ask someone could they BELIEVE someone bottled this rubbing alcohol, and of course subsequently falling hard for it), though La Fin du Monde is much more wearable daily, and I like Rossy de Palma at least 2 or 3 times every month when I’m feeling spicy. Just recently tried Yes I Do, and it’s a little too girly for me, but in a salty way. In fact, I cannot name one I don’t like, so I’d love to win this!
I live in the U.S…
I actually hadn’t heard of ELdO until I received a sample vial of “You” recently, and I had only given it a cursory sniff before chucking it in the drawer. Reading your review piqued my interest in it, so I gave it another try. Very glad I did! I’m still not crazy about the top notes, but the dry-down is sublime. I’d love to get my hands a full-size bottle. And while I haven’t read the book, nor have I even really been to L.A. outside of a two-hour layover at LAX, I do keep “L.A. Woman” in my regular karaoke rotation, so maybe that counts for something? 🙂
I live in the U.S. and love ELdO Rossy de Palma Eau de Protection.
I live in the US and am a rare commenter on this blog (though I always read!)–but I’m commenting cause I tried this one and would really love to win it! I think my favorite ELDO is Jasmin et Cigarette–the first jasmine perfume I felt like I could wear…
I live in the US and my favorite ELDO so far is Antiheros, love that lavender! Thanks for the draw, Robin.
Hi Robin. I live in the US. Favorite is STILL Eloge du Traitre. Love Rien but it’s fearsome.
Posting from sunny Buffalo, NY, USA. I just wanted to alert everyone to the site Notino.com. They have great prices and offer samples on lots of niche perfumes. I’ve recently placed two huge sample orders, and both have been packed perfectly and shipped quickly. I’m not associated with them at all… just a happy customer.
Thanks, Robin. I was a frequent poster to NST several years ago, but lost touch due to some personal situations. Now I’m rekindling my relationship with perfume. Thanks for all you do.
My folks are in the U.S.! I have two – Jasmin et cigarettes and Divin’Enfant. The latter was given to me by my husband after I told him I was pregnant with our first baby; very lovely associations!
Oh fun! I live in the US.
I think my favourite ELdO is Fils de Dieu with Like This a pretty close second. I tried this one on a blotter and liked it though I was after bigger fish.
I can provide a US mailing address.
My favorite Etat Libre D’Orange fragrance is Fat Electrician.
I don’t have a lot of experience with ELDO but of the ones I’ve sampled, my favorite is Fat Electrician (these names!). I live in the US. Thanks for the giveaway!
I live in the U.S. and I think the new Jean Paul Gaultier Classique with the Wonder Woman on it is great, Winder Woman was my idol as a kid and JPG makes great perfumes so I think that is the best super hero perfume 🙂
p.s. I always wanted to try this brand.
I live in the U.S., and my favorite ELDO fragrances are Rossy de Palma, Jasmin et Cigarette, Like This, and Fat Electrician. Oh… and Bijou Romantique!
I am in the US! I really like ELDO – my favorites are Like This, Bijoux Romantique and Fat Electrician on enabler husband. Thanks!
I can’t believe I almost missed this! I live in the US and my favorite ELDO scent is Fat Electrician, even if only because the name makes me laugh every time I pick it up. Thanks for the opportunity Robin!
My favorite ELDO scent is Fat Electrician. You have my permission to use my e-mail.
Thanks for the chance.
I do live in the US and my favorite ELDO fragrance is Like This. Thanks for the drawing!
I live in the US. Not my favorite, but the one I’ve been dying to get a sample of is ELDO “Secretions.” SOOO controversial, I can not wait to smell it, even if it ends up being revolting!
I live in the US. I love Tom of Finland and wish my man would wear it more 😉 Thanks for the draw!
I live in the U.S. (Texas) and my favorite fictional fragrance is Sex Panther (Anchorman).
I live in the U.S.
a.) ?
b.) Fils de Dieu, followed by Like This. Still want to try Rossy de Palma…
c.) (rant) I don’t care what Chandler Burr says; this perfume IS for me, AND I do feel that I need to know the notes! (rant over)
Thanks for sponsoring the draw, Robin.
I live in the USA! My favorite ELDO fragrance is Fat Electrician. Thanks so much for this giveaway!
I live in the US and you may contact me via email – I hope you do! 🙂
I have not tried anything by ELDO – yet! Always on the lookout for a minty fragrance!
I live in the US and I’ve never had the chance to sniff any ELDO scents (may have to break down and order a sampler from Sephora). Thanks for the draw!
I live in the US! I don’t have a favorite ELDO – sampled Fat Electrician and Jasmin et Cigarette. Neither was really to my taste, but this one sounds great!
My absolute favorite from ELDO is Rien, something I thought I wouldn’t like, but it’s addictive. Thanks for the draw, I can provide an US address.
Thank you for the draw, Robin!
I live in the US and you have my permission to email me.
My favorite ELDO is Fils de Dieu. Had high hopes for Rosy de Palma but did not like it a bit.
Have a lovely weekend!
I live in the US and my favorite scent from this house would be the unfortunately named Philippine Houseboy. Thanks for the shot!!
Like This is my favorite, but I can count the number of ELdO’s I’ve tried on one hand. 3 fingers, actually. Still, I do love a green floral, and extra points for chewy! so would love to try this one. Thanks a bunch for the review and the draw! I’m in the USA.
I live in the US, and my favorite ELDOs are La Fin du Monde (love the gunpowder note!), Like This (the perfect autumn fragrance), and Fils de Dieu (exotic, spicy rice with lime and coconut). I had the opportunity to sample You at Arielle Shoshana last week while visiting family, and it’s a perfect summer fragrance. Thanks for the opportunity to enter the draw, Robin!
I would love this! It is my favorite ELDO by far.
US here.. favorite ELDO is True Lust! Sinful!….
US resident, favorite ELDO is Tilda Swinton Like This, followed closely by Rossy de Palma Eau de Protection and then Putain des Palaces.
US resident. Haven’t tried any ELDO scents. Caron’s Third Man probably doesn’t count as a scent inspired by a work of fiction, but since I love both the movie and the fragrance, that’s my answer. Thanks for the giveaway!
Hey Robin, long-time-no-“see”! I still live in the US, but I’m dreaming of Italy. . .
Thanks for the draw!
Hey there! Live on the US. Love Rein Intense Incense. Slightly off topic, but in the sadly discontinued fragrance magazine Odou, Issue 3, there is a review on Vol de Nuit by Guerlain written by Neil Chapman. He explores it’s ties to literature and life around it’s creation. It’s wonderful if you can find it!
I live in the US. My favorite Etat Libre d’Orange fragrance is Jasmin et Cigarette.
I live in the US. I haven’t found a favorite ELDO. I do like Noel au Balcon, but You or Someone Like You sounds more up my alley.
Thanks!
I’m in the U.S. I love Jasmin et Cigarette; I think it’s the only ELDO I’ve tried.
Exciting! I live in the US and my favorite ELDO is Like This, which is one of those perfumes I want never to be without. But I like several of them, including Yes I Do (or whatever name it’s going by now) and Fils de Dieu and Bendelicious.
I live in the US! My favorite fiction inspired fragrance is Vol de Nuit. Few of my fav ELDOs: Like This, Fils de Dieu.
Thank you!
I live in the USA. My favorite ELDO fragrance is La Fin du Monde.
I live in the U.S.A., and I want to love ALL the ELDO frags, but not all of them love me! Even “Like This,” which should be better on me than it is — so, especially on a hot day, I love the Cologne most of all! Merci for the draw!
Hi Robin,
Thanks for the drawing! I live in the U.S. (Texas) and you have my permission to use my email address. My favorite ELDO fragrance is “Yes I Do”. 🙂
I live in the US. and my favorite ELdO is La Fin du Monde. Thank you so much for the chance to try!
Thank you for the draw! I live in the US and you cqn email me. My favorite ELDO is Fils de Dieu.
