Prada Infusion de Rose ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 3 May 2017 11 Comments

Prada Infusion de Rose 2017

Prada has launched Infusion de Rose, a new addition to the Les Infusions de Prada collection. Infusion de Rose appears to be a new fragrance with a different composition* than the 2011 Infusion de Rose. The last in the series was 2016's Infusion de Mimosa.

The essence of the finest roses, infused in perfumed water with Neroli, Mandarin and Galbanum.

Prada Infusion de Rose is available now at Saks Fifth Avenue, $160 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

* And a much higher price tag.

Looking forward to try it! I hope is as good as the other Les Infusions.

I did not love the first IdR, but who knows — maybe I’ll like this one better.

I just got the variety ‘Infusion’ mini dabber line yesterday. This will be interesting to compare and contrast!

The price hike for this collection makes me sad. I do like a handful of them, but why has the price risen so significantly over the last decade?

When they relaunched it a couple years ago, the intention seemed to be to move it to more of a “luxury collection” — couldn’t tell you why.

I stimulated the economy again today. SFA had a $50 off $250 purchase and I had been eyeing the mimosa which I first smelled in Barcelona in July last year (but could not get a sample from the equivalent of Sephora called Julia Parfumeria or something like that). Undina’s mimosa post also encouraged me to redouble my effort to obtain a (free) sample which I did as an extracurricular activity during Sniffa this oasr weekend. Anyway, I bought a FB of the Mimosa and the SA gave me a mini of Infusion d’Rose! On paper, I could barely smell the rose. I will wear it this weekend to see if it is FBW during the next promotion.

Oooh, interesting! But the first Infusion the rose had such a beautiful packing, I wish they had kept that.

I’ve been looking for the perfect green rose scent but somehow I feel that this will not be it. 🙁
But it’s definitely worth a try! I just don’t want to get too excited.
