Tokyo Milk Neptune & The Mermaid

Tokyo Milk has launched Neptune & The Mermaid, a new collection of three fragrances: Song of the Siren, 20,000 Flowers Under The Sea and Anthemoessa.

Transport yourself under the sea where everything is not quite what it seems. Discover surreal fragrance notes encased in gilded bottles and housed in a keepsake storybook box.

Song of The Siren (above left) ~ "A fortune fragrance blend of Pressed Petals, Rosewater, Mandarin, Aqua & Marine."

20,000 Flowers Under The Sea (above right) ~ "A fortune fragrance blend of White Lily, Mineral Salt, Sun Kissed Coral, Ylang Ylang."

Anthemoessa (not shown) ~ "A fortune fragrance blend of Jasmine, Salted Grapefruit, Honeysuckle, Sandalwood."

Tokyo Milk Neptune & The Mermaid Song of the Siren, 20,000 Flowers Under The Sea and Anthemoessa are $42 each for 47 ml Eau de Parfum, and are also sold in matching hand cream, soap and lip balm.

I think Tokyo Milk is great for cute little fragrance gifts and these are rather adorable. Their formulas however, aren’t very stable. I had 2 out of 3 of my bottles go bad in about a year or less…

Clicked post too fast! I was going to comment on the word choice of “fortune” for Song of The Siren because when you hear it, well, it’s just plain unfortunate…

Ha! And that is indeed unfortunate, and good to know.

Hmmm…..”sun-kissed coral” is an odd note to include. I always figured that if coral were “sun-kissed, that meant it was out of the water and therefore….um……dead?

It is odd. I’m sure it’s not the only fantasy note listed 😉

I don’t know what to do. I wanted to purchase Aqva Divina by Bvlgari but 20,000 Flowers Under The Sea looks so appealing. I’ve tested and love Aqva Divina though so I will be so disappointed if I don’t end up liking 20,000 Flowers if I blind buy it.

My vote — stick with the AD, and buy a little mini soap of the 20,000 when it gets to stores.
