It's Tuesday, and you have 32 days left to go in 2016. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm wearing Christian Lacroix Tumulte Homme, again. Tea at the moment is a nice cup (my 3rd — I'm extra tired today) of Irish Breakfast.
Reminder: on 12/2, wear a perfume by Michel Almairac, if you have one.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2016, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: The Christian Lacroix Caribe Tea Pot by Vista Alegre ("Serve a rejuvenating cup of tea in this hand-painted teapot, imagined with tropical exuberance") is $374 at Saks Fifth Avenue.
What a perfectly lovely teapot! I’m wearing Noir Epices, which though not Lacroix, is still pretty fabulous.
I retried Noir Epices on your recommendation, and you were right: beautiful. (And not powdery.)
The teapot is gorgeous!
I would take one 😉
I’m wearing Giselle by Carla Fracci, from the spicy sampler from STC. I really like it! It’s sort of like the old Casmir I wore back in the day, but on Atavan or something. Just calmer. Spend those 32 days wisely, NST!
I wore Pavlova back in the day but never got around to Giselle…it sounds lovely.
Casmir on Atavan- lol- I like that! I’m not familiar with Giselle, but I bet you smell great!
Robin I am on my fourth cuppa -drinking Sencha this morning. I am tired too, my little chubby Buddha has a slight fever and has been extra needy this morning. Hope you are feel more awake, its hard to do on this weather.
I am sampling Boy today by Chanel, it reminds me of a powdery scent I have smelled before from the 90’s but I can’t remember.
To me this wears really close to the skin, it took me a couple of spray from the sample vial to actually smell anything.
Hope everyone has a good day ahead.
Oh dear, hope chubby Buddha gets better very soon! It’s nap time!
Weather doesn’t help, you’re so right.
Oh, baby Buddha! Feel better soon!
Hope the babe feels better!
Hope your Buddha feels better soon.
Hi all!
I’ve been obsessed with a mini of Oscar by Oscar de la Renta parfum I found at an antique store. It definitely owes a debt to L’Origan by Coty while adding a sensual tuberose. No wonder it was so popular.
YOU smell fabulous! I wore Oscar in high school (won’t tell you what decade that was 🙂 !!!) and drained many a bottle…back in those days it came as a EDT splash….
My KL Chloe came in a 1-oz EDT splash bottle, too.
My original Chloe did as well. I remember going to the local Woolworths to buy glass travel sprays so that I could decant and spritz away as I always preferred to be enveloped in my perfume 🙂
You know I am wondering now if the manufacturers intentionally make everything spray so that we cannot decant so easily?
When I buy vintage I always look for sprays because fingers never touch the product, thus contaminating it. If you’re going to sell fragrance 50 or 100 ml at a time (new), you don’t want to hassle with consumers returning turned bottles in 2 or 3 months. It is a bummer for those of us who choose to decant, though.
I have an old bottle of Oscar that I love. I hardly ever wear it now, but it is a great fragrance.
Oscar…wow. My sister’s much older boyfriend bought her Oscar parfum in about 1978 and I always associate it with her and that period of our lives.
SOTD is Anne Pliska. It was mentioned yesterday, a good reminder since I haven’t worn it in quite a while. I’m wearing it with denim leggings, holographic Birkenstocks, and an over sized flannel shirt. It’s haute couture, baby!
Reason to celebrate: my mortgage/escrow payment in $60 less per month starting in January!! Woo Hoo! Plus, I got a reimbursement check from the bank for overpayment this year.
Dries is calling my name…!
Congrats Deva!
Thanks!
You smell fantastic! I reapplied later in the day yesterday and am really loving this one! It’s on my buy list, have you ever worn it in spring or summer? I’m thinking I might be able to pull it off in warmer weather, the orange note makes it feel lighter than some orientals.
p.s. Love the Birkenstocks????
No, I cannot wear it in summer, but I live in EXTREME heat and humidity 9 months of the year. I’m able to wear it today even though it’s going to be 80 something only because the humidity is down.
Also, I love the duality of this fragrance. It must be how Marilyn Monroe smelled when she was young. Very innocent and sexy at the same time- “I’m a sex bomb? I had no idea…!” ????
Hooray!
Yes, indeed!
YAY!
????
Great news! Go get that Dries!
I just may do that! Although I would be breaking (for the second time!) my “no buy” until 2017, I may show a little discretion and opt for the travel size.
LOL!!!!!!
That’s great news. Dries would be a perfect scent to celebrate with.
Need to find my samples of Anne Pliska and Dries. Thank goodness for travel sizes!
Congratulations! If your mortgage company does not charge you a penalty for paying off your loan early, I would put part of the $60 towards an extra payment a year but specify that it is to pay down the principal. You will shorten your mortgage AND save in interest over the long term.
SotD: Parfums Gres Cabaret–lemon, rose and incenses. Excellent and cheerful.
I am deciding on what to drink this morning.
Cabaret is really good.
I’m wearing Almairac’s Chopard Casmir, which I think of as a richer version of Hanae Mori.
Nice! Love Casmir (but also love Hanae Mori!)
Hanae Mori is good, isn’t it?
It’s funny to think there could even be a richer version, and yet!
Oh yes!!!! Don’t care what anyone says…I love Hanae Mori….
Oooh, you smell fabulous. Casmir is the only scent by Almairac I can recall trying at a perfume counter, and it was unforgettable.
One of my all time favorites! You smell great!
Love Casmir! First tried it when it was new (I think) and my husband and I were either newly engaged or not quite engaged.
Oud Al Sahraa
Have you tried the Russkaya Khoza? That sounds tempting.
closing my eyes and not reading your comment….cause I would buy the Russkaya unsniffed if I had the dough and was not on a self imposed no buy….
and if anyone HAS sampled it please do chime in!
I’ve tried the Russkaya. It was quite a nice leather til it went all vanilla in the dry-down. I’m not a vanilla fan, in general, so that was a deal-breaker for me.
Hee! hee! I love vanilla…..
Hee Hee! Me too!
Deva we are in trouble -LOL!!!
Thanks, that sounds nice to me. 🙂
Oh, second day in a row… it must be good!
Yeah…don’t know why but it is really hitting the spot for me on this cold dreary day….I doused myself…the eight spray walk through for the upper half and eight spray walk through for the lower half of my body…my office smells delightful 🙂
and you know there is something about this one which also reminds me of Oriental Express…don’t know what it is…but then again what does my nose know?
Hey, that’s good to know because I have been wanting to try OE but have been dreading the possibility of falling in love due to M the price point. This sounds like it may be a viable option.
Hoping someone else chimes in with the comparison cause my nose is not the best 🙁
I also think Oriental Express smells similar to Emeraude…..
and don’t buy the berdoues unless you get it discounted! I paid 55-60 per bottle of the ones I have bought thus far….fragrance….
that would be FRAGRANCEX …..(where I bought them!)
Beautiful teapot. Feeling drained today. On my second cup of coffee and it is not helping at all. SODT Chanel Cuir de Russie. No reason for it. Just grabbed it without even thinking, but as usual I am enjoying it.
We are all on our second cup of something today..lots of tired folks
Yup, but it’s my 3rd coffee! I think it’s the gloomy weather.
CdR never needs a reason. It’s always perfect.
Yup me too. We just got back from getting dh tested for balance issues (it was an early morning appointment) and he handed me the ice cold coffee I didn’t have time to finish this morning. And I was like, “don’t mind if I do”.
I am wearing Zadig& Voltaire This is Her from a decant a generous NST ‘er sent me. I am enjoying it a lot, it is creamy, milky so comforting and fits perfectly into my busy day. For the first time my daughter complimented my perfume this morning so that is a good sign too.
I thought about looking for that at Holt/Ogilvy since they carry the clothing line. Do you know if they are selling the perfumes too?
I don’t know if they have the perfumes but I will check and let you know. I haven’t seen them though, I hope they are selling the perfumes since I loved This is Her a lot.
Day off today so I am in Ferragamo Golden Acacia. Big dirty honey will probably never be work appropriate
Haha! Maybe not, but still completely gorgeous!
Thirty-two days … simultaneously not enough and far too many. Argh. SOTD is SSS Voile de Violette, which I’m quickly growing to lurve but which hubby pronounced “not a favorite”. Sigh.
Such a lovely scent!
My SOTD is Suleko Djelem courtesy of the ever generous Elisa P. It’s very soft and powdery. It reminds me of Poudre de Riz. Both are lovely soft scents.
You smell lovely! I almost wore it today. I think I could probably wear it everyday, in theory, of course.
It’s really pretty and easy to wear. I also really like Barbara Bui. I am curious if you bought it too?
I really like it, too. Such a comfort scent. I just got a 30ml bottle from Amazon for like $26.
Nice deal.
Elixir des Merveilles. I need some sort of elixir to weather, well, I suppose, life!
You found a good one — you smell great!
🙂
TF Shanghai Lily today. I really like this one. I’m thinking Orchid Soleil is a reworked, louder version of this. I want to get a sample to compare.
AH! SL is on my to sniff list..how do you find it?
I really like it. It’s a spicy, sweetish lily/white floral. It’s probably the only TF I would consider owning.
I would say Orchid Soleil has a lot less spice and just enough tuberose to be pretty different from Shanghai Lily. Like them both.
SotD = Ambre Narguilé. That should warm things up. Hope each of you have a terrific Tuesday.
Yes it should!
My dh is getting a full battery of vestibular tests so I’m hanging around at Mass eye and ear. He had a vertigo attack last March and still having balance issues. I didn’t put on perfume but noticing that the Tauerville Fruitchouli Flash from yesterday is still going strong – I got a little on my sweater sleeves. I’m really liking F F the more I wear it. It reminds me a little of Jungle l’elephant and a little of Rochas Femme. But it is still uniquely Tauer with a great sense of humor. I’m glad I gave it a chance.
Anyone else have the experience of being ambivalent or even turned off by a fragrance and starting to like or even love it over time and multiple wearing?
Ohhhhhh yeah. Both Alahine and Memoir Woman, now favorites, started out as “Wow, that’s weird/ugly/not-me… but I have to smell it again. And again.”
Both of those are on my try list. I think there is a fine line between attraction and repulsion and it’s so interesting when something crosses over.
Alahine was like that for me, too. As was Habit Rouge Dress Code. And Shalimar.
Yes, Dzongkha. First couple of times I was baffled and slightly turned off. Then one day it clicked and became big love.
I had that with Salome. Every time I put it on I felt like it was dominating me. I’m still not completely comfortable with it, but it seems to work in very tiny amounts.
SL Cuir Mauresque. The first time I smelled it, I recoiled, totally repulsed. Now it’s one of my favorites and if I could find a bottle, I’d snap it up in a heartbeat.
I still can’t spray it, but dabbed it is heavenly.
The first time I wore Chanel CdR I thought. “no way.” Same with Mitsouko. Now they are both firmly on my top 5 of all time list.
I know what you mean, but Tauerville Fruitchouli Flash was a love at first sniff for me. Glad to see I’m not the only one who likes it.
Sure hope your husband feels better soon.
Thank you. The tests seemed to go well.
Jicky was like that for me the first time I smelled it – I couldn’t smell any funkiness at all and was sad that it was just lemons and lavender (I think I had a cold). The next few times I tried it it bloomed and I swooned.
I hope your husband’s tests go well.
Like Mals Alahine also.
Tried Dzonghka once and was puzzled but maybe I should try it again seeing these comments
Dzonghka puzzled me too. I think I had a very different expectation from what it actually smelled like to me. I might have to give it another try as well.
SOTD is L’Envol de Cartier. Yum.
Which I *still* need to try! Very behind this year.
Finally got to sniff this. It’s so lovely and sophisticated.
This is on my To Try list.
I liked it a lot but DH was meh about it.
I suspect I’m beginning another Memoir Woman multi-day binge.
CEO’s car still not fixed. Laptop still not fixed. Mom in hospital with spinal disc problems and a lot of pain (and I can’t help). Everything will *be* okay, but it’s not great atm.
Hope Memoir helps! Good thoughts to your mum
Sorry to hear about all that, hoping things get better soon!
O geez! I hate the fact things like this happen in cluster that can be so overwhelming! Hoping everything will smooth out sooner rather than later.
So sorry! Stick with the perfume that works.
I’m sorry things are rough right now. I hope your mom feels more comfortable as quickly as possible.
I’m in the mindset of “Come on 2016, hurry up and finish”, so I am very familiar with your mantra of everything will be OK.
However, I would like to know when it will be OK so I can schedule celebratory drinks.
Wishing your mom (and laptop) a speedy recovery!
*virtual hug sent* I know how this feels. So sorry.
Hope things ease up/ are better soon!
Yuck. I’m joining you with the sudden onslaught of stressful SNAFUs and hope yours are resolved soon.
Sorry things are so stressful. I think sometimes it’s best to stick to one scent when everything else is chaotic. Hope your mom is feeling better soon.
Wishing you positive thoughts and strength.
Hope your mom feels better and mechanical/electronic things are fixed soon!
So sorry your mom’s in pain. Since bad things usually come in 3s, this should be it!
So sorry to hear about this, mals!
It’s FINALLY raining in Georgia!!! It’s been waaaaay too long!! Hopefully some of the forest fires in N. GA will be slowed down or stopped this week! 🙂
SOTD: Frosted Cranberry EdT by The Body Shop. Good stuff…very Christmas to my nose!
I been watching those fires with great sadness…such a beautiful area of Georgia! And smelling like Christmas is never wrong!
My heart is hurting about Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge today! My fave place to visit is the Great Smoky Mountains……I know they will rebuild, but what a loss….
I hope the rain helps. It is so heartbreaking to watch the fires there.
People fleeing for their lives was what got me……so sudden and severe. Thankfully we are also finally getting rain. Bad for me (sluggish) but good for Mother Nature. 🙂
They were talking about Georgia Fire on NPR today. 28,000 acres burnt? So sad
I’m at home with some ongoing stomach issues, and no SOTD. I see a lot of peppermint tea in my immediate future.
Hope you feel better soon! Peppermint tea is the bomb!
Peppermint tea is not a bad scent! Try ginger tea too! Feel better….
Hope the tea will help!
Feel better soon! Peppermint tea is magic.
Hope it’s only temporary, feel better soon,
Hope it resolves soon! Ginger tea seems to help me for those tummy issues, as well.
Feel better soon!
So sorry you are sick. Get well soon.
Feel better soon!
As always, Le Labo Vanille 44 on this rainy day. Maybe I’ll branch out and try something different for tomorrow’s rain. But this is so good…
Me too. But if I wore it every time it rained in Vancouver, the decant would be long gone…
After months of using Korres Japanese Rose body butter I have switched to the Guava scent (scored a good discount). All this fruitiness is throwing me for a loop (a fruit loop?) perfume-wise. It does not seem to go with my usual fall cravings so I’m tending toward the gourmands this week. Today is Safran Troublant. I’m hoping my nose will get accustomed to the guava soon so I can get back to my woods, leathers, and chypres. But then again, it’s good to be nudged toward some scents I don’t wear as often.
Sounds like you need to ask for the rose scented for Christmas. 🙂
I like that guava one, though! I smelled it on a guy a few weeks ago at the gym when we were both emerging from the changing rooms. That, and his shampoo were his only scents he said.
First full wearing of MFK Grand Soir today. Good stuff and less of a commitment than APLS. But I enjoy them both.
Oh, you smell great! I’m so tempted by this, but it’s not something I could wear as often as a perfume like Dries. I think in high summer it would obliterate anyone in a 20 foot radius…
Every time I read about Grand Soir, I think of you.
Finally got to give this a test drive this weekend. I really liked it, but ended up getting Petite Matin instead. Have you tried PM?
Yes and I didn’t care for it, not my kind of thing.
Back in the office after a week long holiday in Florida with the family. It’s rough having to look happy that I’m back when I’d much rather be back in the pool with a whiskey in hand.
I think all the rain outside today is representative of my inner feels at being back.
Wearing 31 RC to help keep it together today.
31 RC will get you through, I have no doubt.
Who wouldn’t rather be in the pool, whiskey in hand?! ????
Today I am wearing Miss Dior Extrait de Parfum which I bought a tester of b/c it was a good deal and I was curious. It is high-priced. Sadly this bottle sits and collects dust.
Dior really made a mess of the brand w/ all the Miss Diors and the similar/repurposed names. This is not the original one but rather the one they released in 2014 as part of Dior Les Extraits.
It is a floral chypre…I know this because the helpful tester label names it as such. 😉 It is nice…on the sweet side but I don’t think I need to keep it. I shall set it free for someone else to enjoy.
I was going through things this weekend and I really have too much perfume which I have said before but now I am going to act. I am making a swap/sell pile and am committing to sell at least 10 bottles before end of the year. You all shall be my witnesses to keep me honest as I thin the herd. The day is still young (especially on the Pacific coast) but I think this one goes into the swap/sell pile. Fare Thee Well confusingly named Miss Dior Extrait de Parfum…see you on the other side…
I started something to thin the collection last year and now I’m letting mine go, too.
Okay, Princess of Power, I shall bear witness! But at the very least keep a small decant to reference it by?
You can do it!!
Is this the Miss Dior Originale extrait? If so, I’m interested ????
Sadly it is not the original one…it is this one…
http://www.dior.com/beauty/en_us/fragrance-beauty/fragrance/exceptional-fragrance/les-extraits/pr-lesextraits-y0882150-extrait-de-parfum.html
Not getting rid of any perfume right now, but I did weed out the shoes and got rid of 43 pairs (I know, just call me Imelda) plus 2 purses. This was actually so I have more room for perfume storage. 🙂
Nice work. Yeah my motivations are not so altruistic necessarily either….I will feel less guilt buying more perfume if I get rid of the old stuff first. 😉
Jour d’Hermes.
I’m also drinking my second cup of tea today. I started with lemon honey chamomile, now I’m drinking a hot cup of peppermint tea.
You smell great, but I am concerned about your lack of caffeine intake 😉
Thanks ???? I took sinus medicine this morning, and it had me feeling jittery.
By lunchtime my jitters were better and I had some black tea ????
Agent Provocateur today, which I’ve been wanting to try! It reminds me a bit of the current version of Diptyque’s Opone (uh, fill in the accents yourself). I’m a fan of dry, spicy roses, and since this one is so cheaply available online I might pick up a full bottle after the holidays.
I really liked Agent Provocateur. It smells very similar to JHaG Mad Madame.
I liked Agent Provocateur, too. It’s a great scent that can be had for peanuts.
O’Driu Pathetique. Loving it. Natalya is getting a big enabler pin in her tiara.
Wow, 2 days in a row!
I’m wearing Desarmant today and hoping that it shows up at the discounters sometime in the near future, my decant is getting low.
Tomorrow is the last day of my year-long experiment. In November 2015 I turned all my perfumes backwards in the cabinet and turned them forwards when I wore them. I vowed that I would purge the ones unturned at the end of November 2016, so tomorrow that’s what I’ll do. Some will get sold, some gifted, some donated to Goodwill. It’s interesting what I didn’t wear as I really did expect very few to be unturned, and there are more than a few.
Wow, that’s a great idea for a simple way to visually track what you wear. Were there any specific bottles you were surprised to see still facing the back of the cupboard?
Excellent strategy and you smell beautiful.
Wow! What a good way to track what really makes you feel happy.
i want to see your sale list ????????
I like this idea but that would mean more than balf my collection will be on the chopping block!
Mine too!
Great idea, good for you!
SOTD is Tom Ford’s Velvet Orchid Luminiere.
Dying to try this one! What’s your take so far?
My SOTD is Mimosa and Cardamom. I needed a comforting scent today. In addition to all of the other junk that 2016 has thrown at us, our furnace died and we have to replace it. Now the money we had saved for a postponed tenth anniversary trip to France will be buying us a furnace.
Oh well, it is nice to be warm. I miss it.
Finance the furnace and take the trip would be my vote. 🙂
Second this vote.
1) To blazes with this year, honestly. I blame the moon!
2) Ugh- this is something that I am trying to for see in my house. I will start a savings account just for this purpose. I am fortunate that mine is a newer house BUT I think in 5 years it may need replacement.
3) Go to France anyways- you guys deserve it!
I’m sorry. We have never even gotten around to a proper honeymoon and didn’t really get around to celebrating our 10th anniversary either so I completely sympathize with you. Something urgent always comes up. I think you should take your vacation anyway if you can.
Sorry to hear this but hopefully the fix is done before it gets really cold. Here in the northeast U.S., we’re in for some warmish weather again!
Boo hiss on that dratted furnace! If it could be at all possible, I agree with the other folks who suggested financing the furnace so you could take your dream trip.
Tuesday!
Ack! Late to the party. Woke up late and confused (and I have no idea why, went to bed at a regular time! Rolled into work a couple of hours after my start; fortunately it’s just reports right and not any actual QA needed.
SOTD: L’eau de Chanel – I drained the last of it from the sample. Lovely, lovely fragrance, but I think better for a warm spring/summer day,
Late breakie: Cafe au lait (almond milk) rye crispbread, boiled egg, avocado and Kalles spread. I can take on the rest of the day!
At least you made it to the office. Just thinking maybe you should check your CO alarm?
Soaking in a bath with Rose Jam bubbles trying to energize myself. I may go to a mall in Charlotte to investigate pricey luggage Hubbie has been hinting heavily about. Then I could get that backup bottle of Rose Jam. Bribing myself to get rolling is bad enough, but when you have to piggyback your motivators (sushi along the way), that’s really shameful.
If it happens to be Tumi luggage, you won’t regret it. Hubby is a road warrior, and Tumi takes a lickin’ (and keeps on tickin’????) And they have a good repair/warranty program.
You’re just being efficient!
Whatever you do, don’t buy Rimowa luggage, doesn’t hold up at all.
Mona di Orio Oud Osmanthus for me today. Thanks Cazaubon!
how pronounced is osmanthus in it?
You are very welcome!
FYI, under the Christian LaCroix label there are also pretty notebooks and journals, which you can find on Amazon and elsewhere for much less than the teapot. There is even a journal with a pop-up in the center featuring Zebra Girl. Would make nice gifts!
I tried April Aromatics today, but that one has gone to the bottom of my list so far.
Just realized I have a bottle of Eau Florale, gifted to me but sadly I can’t stand it. It’s a very floral floral, which is a no go for me personally, but the bottle is just gorgeous.
Me, too, LOL. I only keep it around for the pretty shell shell bottle. 🙂
Wow, the pop up journals! Who knew. Zebra Girl has its own video:

32 days?! That means 33 days until I leave for Chile!
In Alahine today calming and cozy!
Chile!!, how exciting!
Oh yay! Good luck on your new job!
Hi lovely peeps! Been a while.. holiday & work has been all consuming; but what a lovely, fun & yummy Thanksgiving we had.
I’m currently in the 8th hour of my SOTD, Coromondel.. just love this one as time goes on.
Hey floragal! Welcome back. Coromandel is so cozy and I love it too!
SOTD is Angela Ciampagna “Kanat”.
Top: bergamot, peach, apricot, black currant and saffron;
Mid: salt, magnolia, lily, cyclamen, ylang-ylang and mimosa;
Base: musk, vanilla and patchouli.
Unusual and refreshing first seconds, and then it turns into a facsimile of Profumum Roma’s “Acqua di Sale”, which I love, and don’t need its twin, and then a few hours later it dies (whereas AdS keeps on keeping on).
And the 32 days thing means I am already in my 4th-last week in this Paris project. I shall be glad to see the back of it. I hope some time in the future I will come back to Paris and enjoy it as a city again, as this time around it has just been the backdrop to a trying 7 months. I am sitting in an AirBnB which is 1 street away from the Louvre, and frankly it has been more appealing to teach myself SharePoint than to go outdoors to the Christmas Market, which is a sure sign that the problem is with me and not with the city.
People (meaning me) would love to be in your shoes without the work hassles. Day 33 is right around the corner!
I try not to think of the dozens of NST readers who would make so much more of this opportunity – it just makes me feel worse about how I am wasting it.
Today I gifted a 3/4 full bottle of Hanae Mori Hanae to a coworker. She is a young girl, and is always telling me that I smell good. She was very surprised and happy to receive it. About a year ago, I developed a”bad association ” with Flower bomb. Hanae has a similar vibe to it, and I just couldn’t wear it anymore. Sotd was Black Opium. Which for now, I have a good association with.
How kind of you! I am sure she is very appreciative….I love Random Acts of Kindness….
Way to celebrate Giving Tuesday!
Thumbs up!
SOTD = Terry de Gunzberg Ombre Mercure
Here’s Jessica’s review:
https://nstperfume.com/2013/11/01/terry-de-gunzberg-parti-pris-ombre-mercure-fragrance-reviews/
Anyone who likes powder, violet, violet leaf, Silver Iris, Misia or French Kiss ought to give this a try. This means cazaubon, thegoddessrena, farouche, lucas, chocolatemarzipan are fair game to be enabled 😉
It was raining hard when I left the office. My observations of the day:
– some people would rather get soaking wet than unplug for however long it takes to get out of the rain
– to people with extreme body shapes (e.g. one who has champion-sized chikd-bearing hips) – those transparent vinyl bubble umbrellas are made for skinny androgynous bodies. Let’s face it and this is a note to self –how many people think to look at themselves in the mirror while holding an open umbrella? Not me and this should teach me a lesson to do that the next time I buy an umbrella.
Targeted enabling. Way to go!!! Guess I’ll have to sniff it at some point.
I smelled something I thought was Ombre Mercure at Barney’s in SF but I didn’t like it and I don’t remember it smelling like violet, so maybe I grabbed the wrong bottle. Need to try again.
You are naughty 🙂 Hee!Hee!
A fascinating documentary about oud:
http://interactive.aljazeera.com/aje/2016/oud-agarwood-scent-from-heaven/scent-from-heaven-watch.html
have you ever tried agarwood essential oil (real oud?) It is beautiful…and I much prefer it to synthetic oud…blends beautifully with rose essential oil…..
