French niche line Maître Parfumeur et Gantier has introduced new packaging, and has launched a new fragrance, Ambre Mythique.
Oriental notes of myrrh and frankincense are enwrapped by a sweet and liquid accord of vanilla, patchouli and tonka bean. The bright and herbal touches of lavender, geranium and coriander are inspired by a sky punctuated with stars, as beheld from the dunes of the Oman desert!
Additional notes include bergamot and sandalwood.
Maître Parfumeur et Gantier Ambre Mythique is available now at Les Senteurs in the UK, £146 for 120 ml Eau de Parfum.

The new MPG bottles look like an improvement. I wonder how those caps look in person.
I did not mind the old bottles other than the cap, so sorry to see that’s the part they kept. Then again, the “jewel” is now much smaller, which is an improvement.
This juice sounds right up my alley. I would like to sample this. I haven’t sniffed any thing from this line I believe.
Try the earlier ambers too, they were very popular at one time.
Ambre Précieux was my gateway drug into niche perfumery. I couldn’t wear it now (way too sweet — my tastes have changed) but in the late nineties it was a revelation: I bet it’s still great. (The description at Luckyscent is very much on the nose.) And I loved that deeply grooved cranberry-coloured bottle, like an antique book made of glass. The new bottles are nice enough, but not distinctive.
