French niche line Téo Cabanel has launched Kasar and Jaspé, two new fragrances for men.
Kasar ~ "A BOLD, MANLY LEATHER FRAGRANCE. Enters KASAR, mysterious, strong and supple as a purebred, always a winner on the finishing line. A true oriental composition lightened by a citrus top note. It gradually displays spicy, yet discreet, middle notes of safran, cinnamon and nutmeg.The fragrance then grows into a very sensuous woody accord where Oud wood, patchouli, cedar and cyst, mellowed by warm musks, harmonize beautifully. That is certainly an awkward phrase.
Their other fragrances are very well done.
According to Extrait.it, the duo was inspired by Napoleon Bonaparte’s Arabian horses, or somesuch.
Despite that awful copy, their Alahine is definitely worth trying.
Oh, are they the ones with Alahiiiiiiiine?? I’ve been meaning to try that one forever! Someone mentioned they have reasonably priced sample sets, so I may get one once my no-buy is over.

The shop that stocks them here only has Lace Garden and Barkhane in 100mls. Barkhane is really lovely, but they are selling for $250 (R3500) which is just a leeetle out of budget! 😀 Also, it’s pretty light…
