More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today's post includes limited edition solid perfume compacts from Estée Lauder and Tom Ford; a collector bottle from Jo Malone; plus a new concentration of Gucci Bamboo.
From Estée Lauder, two compacts created by luxury jewelry designer Monica Rich Kosann. At left, the Pleasures Glittering Globe, and at right, the Pleasures Loving Frog. $275 each at Neiman Marcus.
Also from Estée Lauder and Monica Rich Kosann, the Beautiful Strong Elephant compact. $275 at Neiman Marcus.
From the same collection, two Modern Muse necklaces: Wish Upon A Star (left) and Moon Dream (right). $200 each at Neiman Marcus.
From Tom Ford, new solid perfume compacts in Black Orchid and Velvet Orchid. Available at Tom Ford, $190 each.
From Jo Malone, Orris & Sandalwood in a limited edition iridescent bottle. $190 at Bergdorf Goodman.
From Gucci, a new Eau de Toilette concentration of Gucci Bamboo: "Soft and intense at once, GUCCI Bamboo's sensorial composition draws its inspiration from the GUCCI woman's harmonious dichotomy. Natural and resonant ingredients create a captivating olfactory story. Woody and warm notes vibrate through the heart and base. Deep Sandalwood, heady Tahitian Vanilla and unique grey Amber accords strike a complementary contrast with the inherent femininity found in exotic floral notes of soft Casablanca Lily, feminine Orange Blossom and delicate Ylang Ylang." At Macy's, $105 for 75 ml.
That elephant!!
And I like that globe 🙂
Those Tom Ford solids are beautiful. I wish I had some sense of scale for them: the website is no help.
The Gucci copywriters really love their adjectives, don’t they? I counted 20 in that one short passage — over 28% of the total word count, which any writing instructor will tell you is TOO MANY ADJECTIVES. Even for perfumery writing.
I have not been able to find out how many grams are in the solid, but look here:

I think the 2 things on the left are the solid perfumes, so maybe that gives you some sense of scale?
That is a help! And so those perfume solids are surprisingly big, almost the same size as the powder compacts. I like that grand gesture of taking the solid out, flipping it open, and applying a smudge to your neck and wrists.
That Jo Malone bottle looks totally gorgeous in the photo.
Agree!
I agree! Would love to see it in person.
That frog is simultaneously one of the silliest and most vulgar things I’ve ever seen, but is somehow totally cute and appealing. I don’t want it –no, really– but I wouldn’t mind if somebody I know well had it so that I could smile at it every now and again.
Would love to have a pic of it kissing me on the cheek????
Oh, I love the globe! I wonder if it rotates? I love tiny mechanisms, probably because I’m neither delicate nor tiny.
Love the Jo Malone as well, though I’ve never even heard of the perfume. Has anyone tried it?
Angie reviewed it, if that helps:
