It's Friday. Our community project for today: wear one of your "top 10 of summer" fragrances (unless it's winter where you are, in which case wear one of your "top 10 of winter" scents).
What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.
I'm wearing Hiram Green Dilettante.
Reminder: 7/22 will be Flashback Friday — wear a fragrance you wore "back in the day". I think this was suggested by Bee and MikasMinion?
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2016, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Poor Nice, and poor France.
Wearing Carnal Flower, such a shining example of French perfumery at it’s best. I put on 3 different French body oils as well. Just because.
It’s hard to even find words…it seems like one piece of bad news after another this summer. You smell great anyway!
It is too sad, and you do smell wonderful.
I’m reeling from the horror of it all..
You smell divine and complex, like Le France herself.
I tried and fell madly, deeply, truly in love with Carnal Flower two years ago. I’m already on my second bottle and it is still a great favorite.
Austenfan, I’m curious as to which body oils you wear with it.
Today I put on Nuxe, Lierac 3 Fleurs Blanches and Sanoflore huile des délices. Most French dry oils smell similar to Nuxe. the Lierac is less tropical and more of a white floral. Mind you, Carnal Flower is drowning all of them.
Another oil I’m very fond of is the Bio Beauté par Nuxe huile satinée nourrissante. It adds a little more citrus on top, which is a nice touch.
Love Carnal Flower and I’m not a fan of carnal flowers! That’s how good it is.
You smell beautiful.
Wearing my all-time summer favorite of vintage White Shoulders. The runner up is Gardenia Batik which is the scent I’ve worn the most so far this summer
Nice to see a vintage pick!
In my late teens, this was a favorite. I still vaguely recall the scent and am wondering if there is any similarity to Carnal Flower, even if it is a colder interpretation of tuberose? I recall the honeysuckle note.
You must smell wonderful!
I did a bad job of picking out a top 10 summer fragrance, and instead simply went with one that would make me happy, given the unhappy conclusion last night to Bastille Day. (Thanks for the calming photo, Robin.)
So I went with Rose Ikebana, which actually turned out to be a subideal choice, because even though it made me happy for the first hour, it then disappeared completely, despite the ~six sprays I had used. Tonight I plan to drown my unhappy thoughts in wine and baked camembert.
Wine and camembert sounds perfect.
oh, boo, Rose Ikebana does the same disappearing act for me. You smelled wonderful for an hour.
And I still say “Yes to Hermes!” I love so many of their fragrances. 😀
SOTD is Mandragore Pourpre. Love anise+mint mix in this one – so natural, cooling and herbal.
I’ve just read about the attack in Nice. The world keeps turning into a more and more frightening place. Very sorry for all who died or was injured, especially children.
You were smart to avoid the news until this morning — I would have slept better if I had done the same.
I’m wearing Eau des Merveilles, which seems to be much more peppery now that it’s bloody cold here and the humidity is approaching 90%. Another gorgeous facet of a gorgeous scent.
Interesting — I will have to pay more attention next time it’s cold here.
Hi scent twin! You smell mervelous. Eau des Merveilles is more orange zest for me in warm weather, more pepper in cold weather. It’s warm here, so today I’m getting delicious salty citrus.
I can’t say this is a summer favorite, but I’m wearing Copal Azure. I wanted to finish up the sample. This week has been very “meh” for me since I’ve been dealing with a very stubborn stomach bug (still) and just wearing scents that are ok, but nothing I really love.
So sorry you are still sick! That’s a VERY stubborn bug.
Yes it is. I’ve been taking Pepto and such to keep it in check, so I’ve been functional this week, but just not feeling great at all.
Like others, I wanted to wear a French perfume and went with 31 RC – it also has an air of backbone and defiance that seemed the right choice.
I have since added Lys Mediterranee which is very much a top 10 of summer for me.
Rue Cambon for French backbone, perfect.
I went for No. 19 vintage Eau de Cologne. It also seems to have backbone and an air of defiance that colognes generally don’t have.
Great choice, No 19 is perfect.
Twins, Robin!
I sort of feel like I cheated because I was hoping you’d pick something I could latch onto as I just don’t have the inspiration to figure out what my ten best of summer actually are. I don’t know if it’s simply me, or the impact of various world events, but I’ve been reaching for warmer, comforting scents even in the summer heat. I plan on blasting myself with Demeter’s Honey later, as it’s warm and sweet but somehow still summery. You know, bees … 😉
Hey twin! I was surprised Kevin didn’t put it on his summer list.
Hermes Narcisse Bleu is what I’m wearing today.
My heart breaks for the innocent people killed last night in Nice. My thoughts this morning are with them and their families. So sad.
Robin, thank you for bringing joy to so many lives with nst.
Seconding these comments Barqs, I haven’t smelt Narcisse Bleu, but it sounds beautiful.
I think our small, seemingly insignificant pleasures count for such a lot in troubled times like these. We all need to find beauty where we can, and enjoy it.
Yes to Hermes! You smell fabulous. 😀
My thoughts and prayers with all the beautiful people in France.
SODT Chanel No.19. Green, fresh and comforting. One of my summer’s favorites.
Chanel No. 19 is so beautiful and perfect for any time of the year. But during summer, it does seem to have an extra “pop” to it. You smell great!
You smell wonderful! I love Narcisse Bleu, it is so green and mild. Perfect for this season.
Limon Verde
Sending out love to anyone that needs it
Everybody needs it 🙂
I chose a fragrance that was a favorite in the spring too – Ostara.
Lovely choice for summer too.
I’m in Jour d’Hermes, sprayed quite liberally in a kind of defiance against world news lately. Close ears, inhale deeply, try to think pleasant thoughts – my mantra for the day.
Yes to Hermes! I love Jour d’Hermes. It is radiantly happy.
Un Jardin Sur Le Nil.
Wearing it with hope that healing can and will begin.
I felt the same when I chose Eau des Merveilles.
My new motto is “Yes to Hermes!” Their fragrances often work well for me.
TGIF!
SOTD: Terracotta Le Parfum.
So pretty 🙂
Terracotta is so pretty! 😀
Thinking of France (again) today. Wearing perhaps a bit too much Cristalle edt and detecting for the first time a kinship between it and No. 19 as I sniff it up close.
I think the edp’s of both Cristalle and No19 have a lot of similarities. Not sure if they always have or whether it’s just the current formulations, but when I spritzed a wrist each at the shop a few weeks ago I found they weren’t dramatically different at all.
And I don’t think you can be wearing too much 🙂
I AGREE!
You smell fabulous. 😀
“Where love is concerned, too much is not enough.” –Pierre-Augustin Caron de Beaumarchais
FM Vetiver Extraordinaire prior to spin class, now hitting the shower, and will wear the same after.
It’s another sad day, and something about VE seems a bit solemn to me, so it fits the day.
Today I have named “Be Kind to Yourself and Everyone You Meet Day” simply because I feel the need to turn the tide.
I too am in a vetiver, one I haven’t worn too much this summer, namely Vetiver Pour Elle. Namaste…
Lovely sentiment, and like your avatar pic. 🙂 Very fun!
Yesterday’s horrific event completely changed my intended SOTD from my favorite playful summer scent to one more suitable to the mood of the day, Jean Charles Brosseau Fleurs d’Ombre Ombre Bleue. Two summers ago I posted a loving tribute to this scent and rereading it this morning (https://nstperfume.com/2014/06/24/tuesday-scent-of-the-day-624/) nearly brought tears to my eyes. If a fragrance could have painted Robin’s haunting photo above, this would be the one.
I read your post..so lovely..
Wearing Une Rose. Determined to be defiant and strong in the face of hatred and stupidity.
And you smell fantastic.
I somehow forgot it was Friday but am coincidentally wearing one of my summer favorites anyway. Jasmin et Cigarette for my trip to NY, testing its interaction with city smells as an audition for my wedding scent.
Have a lovely and safe trip!
Scent twins!Yay!!I hope all our perfumista friends in Nice are OK!!.What is the world coming to…Happy and safe weekend to everyone!!
I’m wearing Herba Fresca, for its lovely cooling mint. So hot here in East Texas. My sister picked this up for me in Paris, several years ago. I often forget that I have it, and then summer rolls around, and it seems like the only thing to wear.
House cousins
This one sounds so refreshing, lovely choice.
This has had so many great comments on NST that I put my name on an “email me when it comes in” list and I’m ready for a blind buy.
I don’t really have summer staples, per se, but I’ve been wearing that Tauer Rose Delight a lot since I got it, and it’s providing a dose of much needed beauty and comfort today.
I just ordered the Rose Oil because you made it sound awesome. I’m looking forward to joining you in beauty and comfort.
And I just ordered another one! I like it that much and a bargain for what it is. There are aspects of if it that remind me of Lyric. I’ll look forward to hearing your impressions of it.
Possibly my favourite summer scent ever is Guerlain Terracotta Voile d’Ete, all spiky carnation and sultry vanilla. It’s honestly just a stripped-down Old Spice but it still makes me really happy.
I was thinking of this one for today – I love it, too.
Terracotta Voile d’Ete is one of the very first fragrances from Guerlain I fell for hard. It is a fabulous carnation scent, and there is nothing like it on the market today.
Wearing a tiny spritz of Beige because it brings me joy. I’m on my way to yoga class and a massage where I will focus on sending out love and peace to all of you and all the world. Namaste, NST-ers.
I haven’t been able to check in much this week – I’m now at my mother’s place in deep Estonian countryside where the Internet situation is variable.
I have important news, however: I’m wearing the Bronze Goddess body cream! After years of fruitless hunting I finally found it at a department store in Tallinn, of all places. BG is one of my all time favourite summer scents, I wear it every year and I’m thrilled to have the body cream version. It’s a lovely product.
Wow!That is some good hunting indeed!
Enjoy your holiday- it sounds wonderful.
Tank you, it really is nice to be home and relax.
That body cream is wonderful! So glad you were able to hunt it down????
Me too! ????
Vintage Eau de Arpege. So lovely and sparkly, with a soapy finish. It would be heard to over-apply. It makes me joyful, which seems in short supply these days.
I have smelled this a couple of times. It truly is a fresh and joyful scent. Marvelous.
It is divine. One day I’ll have to try the new Arpege and see what’s happening there.
1)Summer scent: The Body Shop Satsuma Body Mist layered on top of Florida Water. This is what summer scent smells like to me: lots of clean, soapy,. sweet citrus and herbs, sprayed all over to wake you up and get you going on a hot day.
2)It’s not hot here- it’s perfect for the next few days- highs of 75F and partly cloudy! Perfect for long, soul restoring biking and hikes.
3) This seems to be a year of being more aware of the world’s never ending capacity for stupidity, hatred and ugliness. Thank goodness for sites like this.
Citrus makes me so happy. You smell great.
Wearing the first Ines de la Fressange, a summer favorite that seems very French.
We had a most beautiful summer day yesterday but now back to grey gloominess. I’m warming myself in my new summer delight of Pichola and trying cardamom in my coffee which is lovely and goes well with my perfume.
Cardamom in coffee is delicious- looking forward to trying Pichola.
I’m coming down with a pesky summer cold, and after spraying myself liberally with osmanthus Yunnan (a large manufacturers sample from lovely mrsdalloway) this morning had a luxurious and sweet scented mid morning lie down.
wearing Seville a l’Aube this afternoon, a new favourite for this summer, and one I find myself reaching for when I’m not feeling 100%, comforting and invigorating in equal measures, need both today.
Appalled and shocked at the events of last night, like many others here. thinking about the victims, and survivors, and the horror that will be surely etched in their memories for all time. Such a cowardly attack.
Love Seville a L’aube! The orange color of the juice matches the scent perfectly, and it’s one that can be worn in every season. Do enjoy!
Glad u love it too! I can imagine it being lovely in Chilly weather.
SOTD is Dame Perfumery Verbena, Freesia, and Musk, which fits in with my Verbena Week and is one of my top summer scents this year. I’m thankful for perfumers whose contribution to the world is joy and beauty.
SOTD is Silences. It seems to cut through the awful heat and humidity outside, but still is nice in the AC of my office.
I am year around in air-conditioned buildings, cars etc, so I do not divide fragrances into the ones specifically for summer and specifically for winter. I am wearing my sample of Frapin 1679 absolu, which I am completely in love with but don’t think can afford…my sample of Frapin 1270, which I am also in love with, got somehow lost, but it’s OK, because the bottle is coming..I am a naughty naughty girl…
Congrats on your purchase!
In case anybody is interested, Frapin 1270 goes for $104 +$16 shipping at http://www.maisonparfum.com…beats $195 on Luckyscent or elsewhere.. there are 3 I believe rock-bottom priced Frapins on Fragrancenet (Speakeasy, Boisee, Terre de Sarment), but they are out of 1270..
I would normally have worn OJ Frangipani just because it was a top 10 summer last year – probably the one I reached for most often. Since I have a deep fondness for green, summer scents are easy for me.
But…instead I went with the scent my sister brought me from her cruise and visit to Nice last year. Fragonard Jasmin Perle de The.
Sounds lovely!
SOTD = Shalimar
Perfect for any season! Happy Friyay!
MPG Ambre Dore for my winter pick. Pretty sure it’s what I chose last year too, and it’s still my favourite amber.
Sooooo good. And helping keep me happy for my 4am finishing shift :-/
Just read Kevin’s review of this…and it sounds really complicated. Is the leather strong, or the oud or mostly amber? Sounds pretty cool. 4am is pretty brutal. Have a good weekend!
It’s mostly amber, soft and fluffy, but the oud (and saffron?) gives it a bit of interest so it’s not just a smothering, sweet amber bomb. You can definitely notice oud but it blends so well with the amber that it loses some of its bite. (I personally love the smell of oud but this is subtle)
I like oud, too.
This has been such a weird summer that none of my usual summer scents have been in rotation. I am feeling sad for the world and France, so I will be wearing Chanel. Debating between 19 and Eau Premier
I’m wearing the last bits of a Ninfeo Mio sample, and I just ordered a small splash bottle of it because I neeeeed it. (I’m glad it’s French, too, so I can wear it in solidarity.)
I’m thinking of buying Ninfeo Mio too, so lovely and refreshing.
Andy Tauer’s Orange Star, an uplifting scent after the sad events last night.
You smell great and, yes, uplifting.
I couldn’t choose today so I decided to wear both Alien Eau Extraordinaire and Lancome O de L’Orangerie…
Let’s just say I am fragrant… 😉
Beyond sad about the tragedy in Nice. 🙁
Wow, are you ever fragrant! But it’s all good!
Well the world continues to disappoint………….
Can only strive to improve it.
Wearing No 22 Chanel- olfactory beauty. 🙂
Well said and you smell great!
Thank you, Petunia.
It’s my Birthday at work so I wore a party dress and Coco Chanel.
Happy Birthday!!That’s how one should celebrate at work!
What a terrific idea! Wishing you the happiest of birthdays!
Hope you have fun, despite having to work. You smell terrific and very chic.
And happy birthday!
Happy Birthday ????
Happy Birthday LadyLeia !
Many more! ! 🙂
Happy Birthday! Enjoy!
Happy Birthday ladyleia! we should always wear party frocks on our birthdays!
A very happy birthday to you!
Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday!
Have a wonderful birthday!
Happy birthday!
Happy birthday!
I am saddened to hear of more senseless violence perpetrated against innocent people.
I chose Cristalle EDP because I love it. Trying to find beauty in small things.
You do smell beautiful.
Trying for a calm Friday amid a world full of turmoil and continuing grief. So sad for France, and for us all.
Fav summer scent Bvlgari Au the Blanc, light, crisp and happy memory evoking. They supply the scented toiletries in room at several of our fav beach locales… Amelia Island for one. Love the total nostalgia feel of that place. Grab a happy memory and hang on to it today!
I’m in a phase of serial monogamy, so it’s La Chasse aux Papillons Extrême again today. It’s becoming my summer go to whenever I get tired of Roses de Chloe.
How do the edt and extreme compare/differ?, thanks.
To me, the edt is brighter but not as long lasting, while the extreme is richer. The linden is there in both, but seems quieter in the extreme.
SOTD is Parfums de Nicolai Eau d’ete. French summer loveliness at it’s best.
It so is! You smell absolutely wonderful.
Agreed!
Happy Friday Everyone! My ex-boyfriend who is a musician / entertainer is in town this weekend for a show. We met up for brunch this morning. When we hugged each other, he said, “Oh my god! You smell just like I remember. That’s my favorite perfume on you!”
My SOTD is Nectarine Blossom & Honey by Jo Malone. This is my favorite perfume for summer, spring, or just whenever I want. I guess it’s a favorite for some old admirers as well.:)
Have a good weekend everyone!
Awww. Sweet????
AdP Magnolia Nobile for me today! For several years this was my go to dead of summer fragrance. It’s great in the heat.
Today I say “yes to Hermes” with Eau des Merveilles, a true favorite in the summer, wonderful any day of the year. When my nose needs a break from my love of flowers and vanilla, or my brain needs a boost on a rough day, Eau des Merveilles is perfect.
Weeks ago someone here mentioned reading something from Pema Chödrön. Thank you for sharing that. I’ve been enjoying her writing and am comforted by this thought:
“The experience of a sad and tender heart is what gives birth to fearlessness. Conventionally, being fearless means that you are not afraid or that, if someone hits you, you will hit him back. But we aren’t talking about that street-fighter level of fearlessness. Real fearlessness is the product of tenderness. It comes from letting the world tickle your heart, your raw heart. You are willing to open up, without resistance and shyness, and face the world.” — Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche
Thank you for presenting this to us. The sentiment reminds me of the Inside Out movie – where Sadness is shown to a vital and even positive emotion.
You smell great, as well!
*to be
My heart weeps for France, and for the world right now. Hate begets hate and we never seem to learn. Ugh.
Wrapped in the lavender and calming blanket of Chanel Boy.
I am imagining that you smell fabulous. I have been on a lavender binge this summer, so I am glad to hear you are finding there is lavender in Chanel Boy. I’m adding it to my must-try list.
Before I start a big batch of ratatouille, planned before the most recent tragedy, I’m relaxing in Wrappings, which has always reminded me of hot, dry summers in Sonoma County, California.
Couldn’t really decide on happy favourite today, as I like everyone am too overwhelmed and sad, so instead decided to try one of Kevin’s suggestions, Kyphi, since I have an untested sample…it’s wearing much more subtly than the rest of the OOs that I’ve tried.
Pacifica Malibu Lemon Blossom for today’s project. It’s summer in a bottle. And I have lots of happy summer memories of wearing it.
Have a great Friday, all, and share it with those around you!
I’m wearing Sikkim Girls today. It blooms really nicely in heat and humidity.
Love Sikkim Girls! I feel like it isn’t quite “me”, but it is quite beautiful.
So perfect for the heat. You smell great!
La Fille de Berlin today. I was trying the new D. S. and Durga Atlantic Rose last night and comparing it to other spring and summer roses, which brought this favorite back into sight. It’s much spicier than Atlantic Rose and of course I like both. A thought the Lutens would give a little lift on a sad day.
Okay…so i took an old post by NozKnoz as my inspiration for my husband’s work part last night. It was the post with actor Tony Sheldon getting into drag to play Bernadette in Priscilla Queen of the Desert. I channelled the mid-way point in the transformation: short grey hair dragged off face ( with black hairband) , too much eye makeup, glasses..with leopard skin coat, mickey mouse t shirt, jeans and angry starfish sneakers. I wore YsUzac Satin Doll – kind of weird perfume. Everyone else was in black tie and little black dresses as it turned out to be a retirement dinner for a professor who has been working 30 years at the university (minor detail, no one told me…i.e. My husband never mentioned it. I picked him up from work and he was wearing a suit! He didn’t notice my outfit…it was dark…said I smelt weird, which I did).
At our table were a virologist from India, staff and Phd students from Turkey, Nepal, Iran, New Zealand, Malaysia, China, Romania and us. There was so much chat ( about parasites and stuff ), such incredible warmth and support between the students, so much curiosity, intelligence and laughter….similar situation at the next table, and the next…a room full of good people…multiplied. Need to remember that!
That sounds like a fantastic evening!, like the sound of you’re perfume, and love Prescilla Queen of the Dessert, heehee!
Youre right we really need to hold on to all the good in the world, and not let the dark blind us to the light.
You looked deeply cool, and I bet every other woman was jealous of your panache and your comfort, as their arches ached and their décolletages got goosebumps! And you had a great time, more importantly. All of which shows that matters is the company and the conversation, not the coiffure and the costume.
What with the overall horror and tension in the world and having to take all four kitties to the vet for their annual stabbing and prodding this morning, I eschewed my most summery scents and wore a heavy dose of Cuir de Russie and a spritz of 31RC in my hair. I just couldn’t choose (and I needed Chanel today), and they layer well. We are now home and the felines are sulking around, trying to decide if cuddles are worth forgiving me for four hours in the car and being roughed up by some stranger in a room smelling of dog.
I know that skulk and that look! Isabella stares fixedly at me when she’s displeased, then slowly closes her eyes. When she opens them again, she simply doesn’t see me until she’s ready. Sometimes it’s fully a day!
They’ve decided, since the vet squirted dewormer on the back of their necks and it tastes nasty, that I’m at least a handy tool since I can brush out the stuck-together fur. They just decided that they’re feeling well enough to go outside and laze in the garden and Doolittle forgot she was mad and stood on my foot for a few seconds before she went out.
True forgiveness properly communicated! How can anyone say animals are dumb, in any sense of the word? Why, Dakkie has a vocabulary of, oh, maybe 12 or 13 (the dear man says it’s fully 20!) different words, and Izzy works a whole dictionary of speaking looks!
Morning all. It’s the depths of winter and mood here. Yesterday, my Friday, I wore a winter send all-times favourite, Black Cashmere. The heating was awful: listening to the students “explaining” their cheating was like watching fish writhing on a hook. I hated it. I think we were fair: I hope so. God knows there’s enough injustice in the world without contributing even a tiny skerrick more. Today, I intend to hunker down against the storm and finally -finally –get my own work done. I’m wearing Cotomsndel, another all-times fave. It’s rich and slightly demanding in summer heat –you have to think carefully about committing to its big bloom–but it’s perfectly wonderful in winter, complex, earthy, full of subtle hints about this and that and sly digs and the odd sharp comment. Mostly, though, it’s just a gloriously coherent nice smell.
Sorry that you had to go through that, but glad you’ve made it through. Good luck with your work (although, isn’t it supposed to be the start of your weekend?).
I think you hand went a little too far to the right, and you meant to say you are wearing “Coromandel”. In which case, you smell wonderful! It’s nice to know I’m not the only one who enjoys wearing scents normally reserved for winter in the summer.
Oh, goodness! I didn’t even notice my typos! I make gazillions on my iPad– I have a fat finger, I suppose. Yes, it’s gorgeous Coromandel that I’m wearing, and even Dakkie likes it. He’s just offered me Fuzzy Logic, a well-worn knitted mouse, grey, red eyes, no remaining tail (worrying!) and bunted me with the top of his head, which means, “Ear rubs, please!” When he doesn’t like a perfume, he blinks and pootles off.
Coromandel is wonderful in all seasons! I can find it comforting or exciting, rich or sexy. It always gives me confidence. Your cat has good taste. I hereby dub him Honorary Perfumista!
Hello Waterdragon! Did you see the article in the Guardian today about cognitive shuffle as a way of tackling insomnia?
Coromandel sounds perfect for this weather. Enjoy your day!
No, but I’m off to find it now. Thank you.
Very interesting. Thank you for mentioning it.
Did. Fascinating. Have got the App–how too millennial for words!–and will try it. Would like, obviously, to learn to do it for myself. I will see what I will see.
I’m glad your disciplinary meeting is over. I hate that kind of confrontation and hope your students are the kind who learn from their mistakes. You have done what you could and its up to them now.
Sounds like Dakkie agrees that you should be relaxing and playing with him rather than doing that boring old work.
I’m finally able to return to NST. My only regret is that it is during such a time of sadness for the horror in France. My thoughts and love go out to all those affected!
Since visiting the hospital in Hamburg in January, my health has greatly improved! I’ve lost 15 kilos (so far), have very little pain, am nearly off all meds and am more mobile. My perfume acquisitions have been wilder than in past years, but it is a way to celebrate!
Anyway, today I have been wearing Ramon Monegal’s Dubai Next to Me. This is a VERY concentrated scent that would wear me if I didn’t just spray once into the air and walk through it. (I have lots of power scents, but this is the only one I apply this way.) It is great for hot and/or humid weather, but I find it just a little too masculine. So what works for me is to first spray on some FM Portrait of a Lady before I walk through the mist of Dubai Next to Me. This makes it just perfect for me and I went shopping today and several strangers and one saleswoman commented on how great I smelled! This was the most number of people ever complimenting my fragrance on one day!
I just want to put in a good word for a very light, affordable, beachy fragrance I love: Lancaster Sole di Capri edt. This was a limited edition for last summer. They bring out a different l.e. summer scent every year. I loved it so much I googled and was able to find it is still available from a supplier on Amazon.co.uk
I still have half a bottle from last year, but now I have a back up.
I owe a few perfumistas here some private emails. Feel free to nudge me if I don’t contact you soon.
Welcome back, Jonette! It’s great to see you here again, and I’m so glad that you have such wonderful news to share. Congratulations on the return to better health and I hope that continues to progress!
Welcome back and I’m glad you’re feeling better.
I remember the Lancaster sun products having a very nice scent. I think we used to pinch them from a friend’s mom because we liked the perfume and they were fancy (well, fancier than what we kids were allowed to use). I don’t suppose the line is any easier to find in the US now than it was then, so I will just have to enjoy them vicariously.
Great news you’ve shared. Welcome back!
So glad to see you back, and that you are better!
Today’s SOTD is the other top scent that I have been spending a whole lotta time in this summer… Atelier’s Orange Sanguine. After the events of last night in Nice, I also needed something cheery.
Super hot here today. My summer fragrance pick is Yves Rocher Neroli. It’s just so natural, beautiful and juicy in this weather.
