Dunhill Icon Elite ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 12 July 2016 15 Comments

Dunhill Icon Elite

Dunhill has launched Icon Elite, a new fragrance for men. Icon Elite is a flanker to 2014's Dunhill Icon, and follows 2015's Icon Absolute.

Dunhill’s commitment to using only the finest ingredients is fully reinforced in its latest expression of olfactory masculinity, an effortless representation of core characteristics of the Dunhill man.

Intensely woody with key notes of sandalwood and vetiver expertly blended with sweet cardamom, ICON Elite is an expression of exclusivity in the continuing journey to define all facets of the modern British gentleman.

Additional notes include "orange flower leaf".

Dunhill Icon Elite can be found now at Harrods in the UK, in 50 or 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

    Orange flower leaf = petitgrain

That is almost certainly what they mean, but “orange flower leaf” makes no sense. It is either a leaf from an orange tree, or a flower from an orange tree, but it can’t be both ;-)

Forgive me for saying so, but that bottle looks weirdly weaponized. Am I the only one it’s making uncomfortable?

Nope. I clicked through to the comments on this post exclusively to see whether or not people were ragging on the bottle. (So thanks, olenska!)

It looks like the handle of some kind of scary tool.

I can see that. But it actually looks just like the air cleaner I have in the basement.

I thought it was the new Amazon Echo model.

Looks like a black auto air filter to me.

THAT is exactly what I thought. Looks like an auto part or something.

A Chanel quilted leather garbage can.

Yup, “garbage can” is what I thought, too!

Totally agree with monkeytoe. Or the bottle looks like a fancy-schmancy stereo speaker to me.

Me too. Before I saw the text, I thought it was some new Smell-O-Sound concept or summat.

I was wondering how much more elite you could get than “icon”.
