French niche house Serge Lutens will launch Veilleur de Nuit, a new fragrance in the luxury Section d’Or series, later this month.
"In us, the night works. My guard watches himself there. Without knowing too much why, a soft-bitter disorder makes its pulse pound."
Built around a somber agreement of sweet and slightly bitter chocolate, this fragrance brings an animal note and a sensual heat.
Additional notes include vetiver, castoreum, civet, tuberose and musk.
Serge Lutens Veilleur de Nuit will be €600 for 50 ml Extrait de Parfum.

“In us, the night works. My guard watches himself there. Without knowing too much why, a soft-bitter disorder makes its pulse pound.” In my nose, the coffee was snorted. I guess the smell of a 600 euro (!!) fragrance is hard to capture in words?
In all fairness to Serge Lutens, that is the same sort of cryptic copy he provides for even the regularly-priced fragrances 😉
I really think there should be a Section d’or Discovery Set with 1.5-3mL of each. I know it’s possible for the decant sites to make these sets but the mark-up is way too high.
You know, I have no idea what they’re doing for samples of that series, but yes, sounds like a good idea!
They do make 5ml mini’s that look just like wee versions of the FB; I’ve got one of L’Incendiaire. Mine was scrounged off Ebay, I don’t know how you’d obtain one officially.
Thanks!
