Clive Christian No. 1 Twist & 1872 Twist ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 28 June 2016 1 Comment

Clive Christian 1872 Twist

Luxury niche line Clive Christian has launched four new limited edition flankers: No. 1 Twist Violet, No. 1 Twist Chamomile, 1872 Twist Mandarin and 1872 Twist Vetiver. See also: X Twist Narcissus and X Twist Saffron.

No. 1 Twist Violet ~ "Clive Christian updates the iconic No1 perfume with the innocent addition of Egyptian violet, grown under shady palm trees to protect the delicacy of their scent. The violet notes blend beautifully with the original rich plum and fruit notes, as well as adding a lighter touch to the heart of orris, jasmine and rose. The beauty and longevity of No1 remains with the soft base of vanilla, cedarwood and sandalwood." 50 ml Parfum, £495 at Harrods in the UK.

No. 1 Twist Chamomile ~ "Clive Christian adds an unexpected yet distinguished twist to the classic No1 with the introduction of English chamomile. Grown on verdant East Anglian Fens, the chamomile adds a new distinction to the spicy and citrus notes already synonymous with the fragrance. This new strength of character blends effortlessly with the original nutmeg, pimento and lime top notes, as well as the heart of ylang ylang, rose and jasmine, whilst perfectly complementing the base of creamy sandalwood and complex vetiver." 50 ml Parfum, £495 at Harrods.

1872 Twist Mandarin ~ "1872 Mandarin echoes much of its predecessors' vitality, with Bergamot and Tangerine oils nestling beside beautiful and rare Rose de Mai, joyful Freesia, and delicate Violet at the heart. But it is the twist of Sicilian Mandarin oil that brings an elegant and smooth citrus touch to the whole, along with the addition of Lavender in the heart, and Vetiver to add extra sparkle to the base of Woods and precious Musks." 50 ml Parfum, $340 at Neiman Marcus.

1872 Twist Vetiver ~ "The timeless citrus Chypre character of 1872 has been enhanced with a twist of the most precious and full-bodied Vetiver from Madagascar. This lends a wonderful warmth to the 1872 base accord of woods, resins and amber. It also supports and adds verve to the heart notes of Clary Sage and Freesia, and to the top notes of Petitgrain and spices, where a touch of Myrtle also adds a further subtle glow." 50 ml Parfum, $340 at Neiman Marcus.
