Diana Vreeland Outrageous ~ new perfumes

Posted by Robin on 9 June 2016 17 Comments

Diana Vreeland Outrageous

The Diana Vreeland line will launch Outrageous, a new trio of luxury flankers to Simply Divine, Outrageously Vibrant and Daringly Different.

Outrageous Simply Divine, Outrageous Outrageously Vibrant and Outrageous Daringly Different are "amped up" versions of the originals, developed by the same perfumers, and sold in Parfum Absolu concentration (25%). Alexander Vreeland said the collection is “far more luxurious, far more soulful and speak[s] to a more sophisticated fragrance customer who likes a more powerful fragrance experience.”

Diana Vreeland Outrageous Simply Divine, Outrageous Outrageously Vibrant and Outrageous Daringly Different will be $350 each for 50 ml; look for them in July.

I gotta admit this gave me a good laugh this morning. Make hay while the sun shines.

$350 is kind of steep for a 50 ml bottle. I have yet to try one of the perfumes from this line. Extremely interested in how this line in. But, for this amount though, I may never know.

They are fine. Not really perfumista bait though.

I’m surprised they sold enough to be doing flankers. I guess this line does distinguish itself in having an array of very colorful bottles that are not in childlike shapes (e.g., Marc Jacobs).

How about Outrageous Ridiculously Expensive? ;)

You took the words right out of my mouth (or typing fingers)! I have not tried any of them but I will say that “Outrageous” is the perfect name for them.

I love it for the sheer audacity. The bottles look like Tom Ford fragrances in drag. If I ever came across these in stores, my eyes would be magnetically drawn to them, like a trapeze act in the circus! I will look for them in July.

(Apologies to Diana Vreeland for everyone’s trespasses in her name!!)

“Tom Ford fragrances in drag”…..oh goodness that is priceless!!!!!

I rather like the bottles myself but not in a million years for that price!

I think that’s it: the colors. And you can’t go wrong with tassels. ;)

        Nothing says luxury like tassels.

And since I think everything would be better in drag, here you have it, I loove these bottles. But the price, naturally, puts me off. Everyone wants to be Amouage these days, tsc, tsc…
