More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today's post includes collector bottles from Annick Goutal, Burberry and Carolina Herrera; plus new Eau de Parfum concentrations of Ralph Lauren Polo Blue and Guerlain L’Homme Idéal.
From Annick Goutal, the Dolce Vita collection, "inspired by three olfactory creations, each telling a story of a journey in Italy", and featuring illustrations by artist Cecile Togni. Ninfeo Mio, Eau du Sud and Eau d'Hadrien are each in 100 ml Eau de Toilette, £67 each at Harvey Nichols in the UK.
From Burberry, Mr. Burberry in a more + more bottle: "To celebrate the launch of Mr. Burberry, an exclusive 1000ml Collector's Edition is available. Only 200 of the limited edition bottles have been created and the base of each fragrance will be engraved with its individual number." £1,400 at Harrods in the UK.
From Carolina Herrera, the 212 Pill collection, with 20 ml travel sprays of seven fragrances in the 212 collection: 212, 212 VIP, 212 VIP Rosé, 212 Men, 212 Sexy Men, and 212 VIP Men.
From Ralph Lauren, Polo Blue in Eau de Parfum: "Inspired by the classic Polo Blue fragrance, this new Eau de Parfum is a longer lasting, more sophisticated and intense fragrance. Absolute freshness meets ultimate Polo distinction, a charismatic presence. The addition of Bergamot in the top notes bring a fresh, uplifting and energising burst. The heart notes are enhanced with Blue Orris Accord, a powerful aromatic scent which brings a prevailing sweet sensuality. Finally the base notes are intensified with sensual notes of Vetiver for an enveloping, sophisticated dry down. The new bottle is sleek, stylish and luxurious, inspired by a modern sterling hip flask with polished silver metal surrounding the bottle." Available in 75 and 125 ml, at Boots in the UK.
From Guerlain, L’Homme Idéal in Eau de Parfum. The woody oriental features almond, vanilla and leather. Available at Guerlain in France in 50 or 100 ml.
This post makes me realize that I miss the old-style Goutal bottles and labeling.
Me too! I guess we’ll just get color bottles now as part of LE collections.
I’m absurdly gratified that Eau du Sud got a fancy bottle. It’s never rated one before, as far as I can remember.
I can’t remember one either.
Re: Mr. Burberry – more is really not more; it’s just ridiculous! Macy’s Herald Square went all out with the window display. Following the Flower Show with advertising dreck – phooey!
On the other hand, the Annick Goutals look really pretty!
1000 ml of Mr. Burberry, times 200 bottles, ought to be enough Mr. Burberry to cover the world’s needs several times over 🙂
The Polo Blue EDP was a scrubber on me!
I find it hard to think of any Polo other than the original as being “classic.”
Good to know, thanks!
As per Mr. Burberry, we can barely sell a bottle of it in store. I don’t think it’s doing so well in Canada. It’s such a basic scent in my opinion.
