Masque Milano Romanza ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 28 March 2016 11 Comments

Masque Milano Romanza

Italian niche brand Masque Milano will launch Romanza in March.

III - II ROMANZA
[Victorian Narcissus]
The studio was filled with the rich odour of roses…

Act III Scene Two
Daylight is breaking in. What time is it? The Green Fairy inspired throughout your nightlong endeavours and now you’re done. Your beautiful subject is still there facing you. …such a beautiful poser… So well dressed, so carefully groomed, so irresistibly debonair, …beautiful and intoxicating… as intoxicating as the indolic smell of the flowers in full bloom, coming from the garden. So weird – only yesterday you were just friends. Bees hopping from one flower to another, perpetuating the amazing circle of life. Butterflies in your stomach. What is going on? What is this vertigo? Overwhelming attraction, stirring you up. Still you are not in love – yet.

A delightful Italian word describes all this sublimely: Innamoramento.

Romanza was developed by perfumer Cristiano Canali. The notes include absinth, orange blossom, angelica, violet, narcissus, hyacinth, woods, amber and civet.

Masque Milano Romanza will be available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

This would have been perfect for The Nymph Echo challenge!

The copy starts off with roses, but rose is not listed as a note…oh well the notes that are listed are very interesting, and I love this Italian concept innamoramento…so nice to have words for different states if being, and English certainly has nothing for this state…

I think we would just say falling in love…

    Err?
Romanza was launched last year… wasn’t it?

At least that’s when I saw it officially premiere at the perfume fair in Italy.

As far as I know the brand is launching L’Attesa at Esxence in 2 days.

It was introduced to the press last year. It will go on sale this year. So depends on your definition of launched — we date by when something is available for sale to consumers.

Ok, I thought it was on the market already. My bad.

Well, could be it’s for sale somewhere and I don’t know it. Haven’t seen it online, and the brand says it goes on sale this month.
