Diptyque will launch Eau des Sens, a new spicy orange blossom citrus fragrance, in March.
Described by Diptyque as a piece of music that breathes on the skin, Eau des Sense demonstrates the duality inherent in skin-like sensuality, that of a gentle innocence matched by a vibrant, soulful energy. The scent is composed of orange flower, bitter orange, juniper berry, angelica, and patchouli. Trembling fresh petals meets bitter fruit, and are decorated by flous of herbs and earth.
Eau des Sens unfolds the scent of the orange tree in its entirety, from the white petals of the orange blossom to the dark green leaves to the juicy, bitter Seville orange hanging off the branches, and this is what imbues the fragrance with its vibrant soul.
Eau des Sens was developed by perfumer Olivier Pescheux.
Diptyque Eau des Sens is available for pre-order at Essenza Nobile in Germany, in 50 or 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

Sounds intetresting…hopefully it’s one that can linger for a few good hours

Also, I come to like the bottle a bit better (still I prefer the old one) but the drawings is always lovely
I love orange blossom, so I hope it is interesting!
I’m surprised there is no listed petitgrain in this formula since it’s supposed to be orange from top to bottom. I am very curious about this esp. b/c of the juniper, which I like very much in Eau Duelle edt.
Maybe there is petitgrain, who knows.
Oh, I love juniper too!
Yes this sounds like something I want to try!
Me too
Orange and patch make me wonder… Could this be like a posh version of Lush’s Karma? I’d love that! In any case, the notes sound appealing.
definitely trying this!
Oh, I hope this is good. Scared it will be too cleaned up… (I like Vetyverio, but his others for Diptyque are not my favorites alas.)
I was in a Diptyque boutique last week and the SA said it’s the same scent as the one used in their OB scented hand cream, which I tried. I guess I’m not one to judge OB as it’s not my favorite, but I thought it was pleasant but boring(kind of how I feel about Le Labo Fleur de Oranger).
Hmm, I like the hand lotion and think the scent is surprisingly long lasting and pleasant. I wore it the other day instead and wondered why they hadn’t released a similar perfume. Hope it lives up to the lotion ’cause it would be nice to layer.
This one sounds really nice, but like some have already commented, I am curious about the longevity. Diptyque has some nice stuff, but it only lasts minutes on my skin.
I actually was able to try this a few days ago. The Diptyque store in Grand Central had a tester. I thought the perfume was lovely, but it’s a bitter orange blossom. So keep that in mind!
Ooh, good to know- I much prefer those to soapy or syrupy orange blossoms.
Good to know! That store is generous with its samples too!
Ooh–likewise good to know!
Heh, I didn’t even know there’s a Diptyque store in Grand Central!
