Our series of holiday 2015 gift posts continues with gift ideas for men, although there are plenty of “unisex” ideas in the other articles, and as always there are probably a few things here that women might like.

A classic cheap thrill — the Royall mini sampler: "Exotic Royall fragrances are as fresh and invigorating as the cooling sea breezes of Bermuda. Now you can give or try for yourself 4 classic Royall colognes with this mini gift set. Scents include the masculine blend of Rugby, exotically zestful Vetiver, rich and earthy Muske, and tangy and zestful Lyme." $25 at Vermont Country Store.
The $30 incense holder isn’t bad either! Will have to check out the Arquiste for J Crew, sounds lovely.
That $30 incense holder is gorgeous! I use an old brass owl now and he is nothing but trouble.
Guys — the incense holder is $150!! The tubes of incense are $30. I want them all.
Oh, but Aedes has one that is $30. I saw Gal’s comment too and thought I misread your post. It’s a slim plain bar of what I assume is brass?

yep, meant the less expensive one also pictured on Aedes. Though very elegant, am loathe to spend $150.
Gotcha! Forgot about that one, and it is good looking too. But I want the one shown above 😉
The $30 one is so narrow, it would end up making a mess. The design seems to assume that all the ashes will fall straight down, into the narrow channel, when in reality, they never fall straight down.
That Helmut Lang discovery set is calling to me. I’ve heard nothing about the relaunches though….
I heard they were well-done and reasonably close to the originals, but have not smelled, and don’t know the originals in any case.
I mean, they’re only $5. Might be worth a “splurge.”
You guys are totally confusing me on the prices tonight! The set of 3 is $105, right?
I think this one’s a typo! Pretty sure Coumarin meant, a splurge where you get three for $105. Well lower than the price of a full bottle of any one of them!
Ah, probably.
I have not smell the originals but I was impressed with the current versions. Cuiron smelled great, just didn’t quite suit me (to my surprise); I didn’t try the EDC on skin but it smelled nice on paper; and I was quite smitten with the EDP. Ducked into the HL store across the street from the new Whitney to test the EDP on my way to catch a train out of NYC; was rewarded with a very happy afternoon watching scenery go by and huffing my wrist! I haven’t taken the plunge on a bottle yet–100ml is a lot–so maybe this is the way…
Good to know, thanks so much!
I smelled the Arquiste in person, though unlit–it was nice! It didn’t change my life and I’m already pretty devoted to the L’Occitane take on the pine tree candle, but it’s certainly a nice gift and especially with JCrew’s constant sales, it could probably be had for a price somewhat closer to the L’Occitane.
I meant to look for it at the mall over the weekend and totally forgot, so thanks!
I really like the look of the incense holder. If I burned incense that actually might tempt me.
You could start :-). The incense burner does look pretty nice and could be a conversation piece. I should check out the incense sticks unburnt as they may be fragrant unlit.
