Happy International Men's Day! What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm wearing a dab (really, just a dab is enough) of Yves Saint Laurent Kouros.
Reminder: tomorrow, wear a fragrance from Yves Saint Laurent, if you have one.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2015, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Vintage Chanel No. 5, which I haven’t worn in ages. Just another chapter in the multi tome book entitled “Why Don’t I Wear This More Often!”
Lol, yep I own the complete set of that collection 😉
I finally got around to putting on fragrance about 7 pm yesterday, and it was, of course, vintage No 5 extrait. Nothing like it in the world.
YSL Jazz for me today; a dry, transparent fougere with some wormwood at the top and a bit of moss and sandalwood in the base.
Nice pick!
Sounds yummy!
AG Le Chèvrefeuille. Got a bottle recently. Of course, it’s not seasonal at all, and we’re evidently in line for some snow tomorrow night. I’m hanging on to bottled flowers and sunshine, even if winter looks inevitable.
Love that one! And snow, ugh.
I totally get that! I just ordered another decant of California Reverie…
Le Chev is summer in a bottle. No harm trying to ward off winter with it!!
A reminder of flowers in the middle of winter gloom is lovely.
Mmm, nice eye candy for today’s photo. Much better than yesterday :p
I’m wearing Cuir de Lancome today. It’s very much one of those throw up hair without brushing it and throw on clothes – make up for sloppiness with some decent eye makeup look. It wouldn’t help my frizzy hair to be nicely done today anyway since it’s so humid and rainy out.
Love that one! It’s always perfect.
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Divine’s L’Ame soeur, which is gorgeous in any season.
Very beautiful! I have a small sample of this and it is quite lovely.
Testing Zoologist Beaver and Hummingbird perfumes today. While Hummingbird is more approachable, I find Beaver to be more interesting–a hit of fresh then the animalics come up quickly along with some wood and a pinch of iris.
Also, two weeks from today a bunch of us will be meeting up in NY for live sniffing so email me if anyone would like to join us. My screen name is my yahoo address
Aww! Have fun!
Not sure if you are interested but Eau MG did a review on Beaver yesterday.
I just read EauMG’s review of Beaver. It does not sound like my thing, but I love the bottle!
I just can’t see myself saying to someone who has asked, “What is that interesting scent you are wearing?” “Oh, it’s Beaver!” I wouldn’t mind saying, “Oh, it’s Hummingbird…”
Ha! Yes, that would be very awkward 😀
On this crisp pre-winter morning I’m in Etat Libre d’Orange Afternoon of a Faun, a foresty, spicy almost-chypre.
BTW, the new Yves Rocher limited-edition Christmas things are out, and as usual, I bought all the shower gels, and as usual, one of them is good and the others aren’t. Spicy Vanilla isn’t really either of those things, and Candied Orange and Almond smells bizarrely like pool cleaner (although the scent that lingers on your skin after you’ve towelled off is nice), but Candied Orange and Cinnamon is SPECTACULAR. What a shame they didn’t do an EDT of it as they’ve done in the past: I’d snap that up. Still, there’s body lotion, hand cream, and lip balm, so I guess you could still smell good for a while.
Might have to cave on the cinnamon then! Prices are fantastic.
I have never seen the Yves Rocher around here (NY/NJ). Where do you get yours?
They used to have US stores but they closed them. They do have a US webstore though.
Not to enable or anything, but there’s a promo code of 7OFF30 that will get you $7 off a $30 or more order.
Ah! And, done — enabler pins to pyramus and foxbins 🙂
Pyramus, thanks so much for the advice/warning! I have to buy YR online these days and I was on the cusp of buying the co&a unsniffed, but now will buy the co&c instead.
SOTD is Fils de Dieu, which always makes me happy.
Does anyone have any vanilla suggestions that are good for layering? I’m looking for something that’s not so nuanced (or pricey) that it deserves to be worn on its own, but that layers well with other scents when they (I) need an extra kick of vanilla.
Would a lotion do? Good ideas here (and be sure to see the comments):
https://nstperfume.com/2011/01/02/vanilla-fragranced-lotions-revisited-scented-body-products/
For some reason, I hadn’t though of lotion, but that’s a fabulous idea. Thanks for the link!
Also, now shopping on Yves Rocher because pyramus says the candied orange & cinnamon is great, and noticed they have a 20 ml of “Organic Vanilla” EdT for $6.
What about Dame Perfumery Black Flower Mexican Vanilla? Inexpensive, check.
Haven’t tried layering with it,though.
Will be watching for other opinions 🙂
Whoops, would like to note that bfmv is perfectly wearable on its own – just noticed that bit.
And now my sotd!
That’s been one I’ve wanted to try for a while. Wearable on its own definitely isn’t a bad thing. 🙂
Pacifica Island Vanilla is inexpensive and great for layering. To paraphrase one perfumer, vanilla is the salt of perfumery. I concur.
Pacifica Island Vanilla deserves to be worn on its own, in my opinion. But, I find pleasure in both linear and complex perfumes. And, I’m a vanilla freak 🙂
Hm, now that I think about it, I guess “deserves to be worn on its own” was kind of a harsh term on my part. I adore vanilla, too and would wear just about any vanilla on its own. 🙂
I’ll have to test out Island Vanilla. I see it fairly often, but for whatever reason, never tried it.
I love to layer with l’Occitane’s Vanille & Narcisse, or Narcisse & Vanille. One of the Grasse series.
Les Couvents des Minimes Eau des Missions is a pretty layerable, inexpensive, light vanilla with a hint of incense. It doesn’t usually overtake other scents I’ve layered it with.
I got a partial decant of Eau des Missions in a freebie swap-fest, and I wore it to bed every night until the decant was gone. It’s a very nice light vanilla cologne – I just haven’t gotten around to getting some more of it.
Al-Rehab Choco Musk is great on its own and good for layering. It only comes in a rollerball and is cheaper than cheap. You can order a 6-pack on Amazon for under $25 including shipping.
Wow, I just looked that up, and it sounds delicious. At that price, it’s almost irresponsible not to try it!
What do you layer it with? It is very nice – not complex (you will not mistake it for Roja Dove), but for the price it is unbeatable.
I should clarify that I have never layered it on purpose with anything but given its tenacity, I’ve got it mixed with Rose Cut and it was a nice combo!
Lush vanillary…pretty strong though
You probably won’t see this because I am so late, but what about Reminiscence Vanilla? I haven’t tried it personally but have read that it is a nice fairly inexpensive vanilla. Also, DSH Vanilla Bourbon which is bit more expensive but very nice.
Still working my way through my box of A-C 1 ml samples, my SOTD will be Au Lac from Eau d’Italie. I can’t think what it reminds me of so strongly, but it’s a pretty, springtime scent.
Today, it’s Dulcess by Costamor. Feeling sweet and sugary lately…it must be the holidays coming up! 🙂
I have searched my closet but I have no YSL fragrance to wear for tomorrow 🙁 Oh well!
I am still commando this morning. Thinking of something to help with this overcast soon to be rainy day.
Drinking Santa’s Secret tea – a black tea with peppermint candy cane sprinkles & vanilla. yum
I don’t have any YSL either….Will have to live vicariously tomorrow! 🙂
Yes we will 🙂 🙂
Me three! Nary a YSL to be found in Mt. Sample.
SOTD = (vintage) Chloe Narcisse/Shalimar
Another French perfume I am testing to see if it would match my mother’s taste. Her signature is vintage Diorissimo parfum, so I daren’t even think she would consider a different Lily of the Valley perfume. However, she is nearing the bottom of her bottle, so I’m looking to other florals.
Thus far Narcisse is somewhat off-putting, perhaps it has expired. I confess I was anticipating a clear rendition of narcissus, but all I am getting a cloyingly sweet floral. Not a generic white floral, but not pleasant. 30 min and now it has disappeared.
I’ll chalk this one up as a NO and wear the Shalimar I brought along just in case I had to scrub.
Does anyone have any alternatives to suggest?
Whoops – sorry, I meant this as a separate post!
On a related note I realized this Tuesday that the only YSL I have is a decant of Kouros, and I am not brave enough to wear that to work. I’m making do with Guerlain, though! 😉
AH! I will probably be in Guerlain too. Let me know which one you choose
Shalimar <3
What about Delrae’s Début? A beautiful complex green scent with lily.
If you can still get your hands on it, the Badgley Mischka Fleurs de Nuit is a very proper white jasmine with just a hint of oriental to warm it up a bit. Or how about L’AP Chasse aux Papillons?
DelRae Debut is an option, but I find the linden in the opening a little screechy. I like Oriza L. Legrand’s Muguet Fleuri, for a nice soft LOTV scent. It’s heavier as in more powdery and less green, but it is a gentle and long lasting LOTV fragrance…
I was a hyuuuuuge fan of the original Chloe – and I love narcissus notes in general – but I didn’t like Chloe Narcisse. Can’t tell you why (look, it’s been 20+ years since I smelled it!), but I thought it was truly horrendous back when it was new.
So your sample might be off, or you might just have the same opinion as me. 🙂
VC&A Muguet Blanc is really pretty.
That tea sounds great.
Its from David’s Tea-part of their limited addition winter collection.
About to get in the car with two other people for the better part of the day–what do you guys think, is Musc Ravageur too much? or just enough! 🙂
Hmmm … depends on what kind of car (minivan vs Mini), and what it’s usually used for. 😉
I would love to sit with you. I find MR pretty soft though so I’m probably not a good judge.
I’m taking a break from YSL today, finally getting around to testing the new-ish Tauerville Incense Flash. Its very nice, and may go on my (crazy long) FB list, but I already have a number of well-loved incense fragrances so I’m not sure.
Can you believe he’s already come out with a new one (Amber Flash, I think)? Has anyone tried it?
I have! I liked it, but it’s different from the other Flashes IMO, and very different from the main Tauer line. It’s a pretty straightforward amber rather than really involving other notes, and it’s a nice medium weight (veering sheer? esp grading on the Tauer scale). But I think it smells nice and the price is terrific, so anyone in the market for a Goldilocks amber (not too loud, not too quiet, maybe just right!) would do well to try it!
I liked Amber Flash, too, and I second everything C.H. said!
Thank you both for your comments. The price IS terrific on these Flash scents, and I own and often wear the first two (Rose and Vanilla; they are also great combined) so I will definitely try the Amber one.
I really dig the Rose Flash. Mmm.
I’m wearing Fresh Brown Sugar.
For some reason I want you to be sitting next to me while I eat my oatmeal. 🙂
ha!
I like that one a lot. Nice and clean. It’s my go-to hangover scent.
Oh goodness, Fresh Brown Sugar makes me soooo happy. You smell wonderful!
I’m in Dune today, for its warm coziness.
I find Dune’s opening pretty acrid. Does it take a while to warm up and get cozy or does it just like your skin?
It does take a while to warm up, yes. I wouldn’t say it’s acrid on me, exactly, but it does have an asphalt-y note early on that might read as acrid on someone else. After about an hour, the oddball notes are mostly gone, and it’s all sandalwood and broom (or maybe hay) on me. And after about three hours, it’s pretty much sandalwood. I love it.
Repetto EDT for me. I saw it yesterday for $14 at Nordstrom Rack and couldn’t resist. I’ve loved the pretty, ballet-themed packaging and marketing since the release. The perfume itself is perfectly nice, one my 20-something self would have loved. A soft fruity floral with a tiny hint of mild patchouli. I probably won’t wear it often, but I’ll enjoy the pretty bottle and the cheap thrill. 🙂
Le sigh – I am having such issues with my replies not going where I want them today.
I meant to reply to this post with:
Sounds lovely – would it make a good children’s scent?
Maybe a preteen. I noticed that it grows up a little in the dry down, trading the fruitiness for soft vanilla with a bit more patchouli. I like it more at the end of the day than the beginning. But it’s totally a skin scent at that point, no silage, so still appropriate for someone younger.
I’m wearing Iris Silver Mist. Have I told you how much I love this perfume?
You smell terrific! ISM is polarizing, even amongst iris perfume lovers.
My SOTD is Azzedine Alaia Paris. I find this scent zesty — a nice energizer.
I got a sample of this recently from the swapmeet. It is interesting for sure – very unisex. The drydown reminds me of the drydown of L’AP Nuit de Tuberose – peppery and milky.
Interesting. I thought the drydown of NdT was the best part of it.
Yes, me too.
I’m set for tomorrow because searching through my bag of decants and travel sizes, I found a decant of YSL Paris, which I had forgotten. Today I’m wearing another Dame Perfumery scent, Pear Waterlily & Amber.
Amouage Fate again today. It’s becoming such a favorite but it is sooooo so soft on me. Gotta figure out how to amp this up.
You smell great.
Since your in the city- I just got an email from the Guerlain boutique at WA that in the beginning of December you can decorate your own (purchased) and personalize with Swarovski crystals. Just wanted to share if you needed a special gift for someone! Or yourself too ????
This sounds like it could potentially be up Hajusuuri’s alley….
LOL – I saw the one where you can decorate a Sticker and slap it on the bottle and voila! a ::::: cough cough ::::: bespoke perfume flacon!
Thank you so much for thinking of me! Maybe a few years down the line I’ll be in a better place to go for it – I wish I was now! I’d love a bottle of Songe d’un Bois d’Ete…
OK-you can share it with Hajusuuri. Just thought I would pass it along!
I see a bottle of Songe d’un Bois d”ete in your future <3
We’ll be sure to stop at a Guerlain counter when thegoddessrena is in town two weeks from today 🙂
Really, Fate is soft on you? I love it but I have been told it is a little much for my office environment. My skin eats some things, but Fate apparently lasts tenaciously and wafts vigorously on me. 🙂
I could go for that! From what I’ve read about others’ experience with it, the fact that it is soft on me is the clearest evidence that I have scent-eating skin. So beautiful when I press my nose to my wrist though.
The Goddess Rena told me about this one last year, but I wasn’t paying attention, so I need to tell her now – you were so right about this one, hon!
Thumbs up!
Hi! Today, I am wearing The 7 Virtues Middle East Peace (an uplifting sweet grapefruit based scent), layered with TBS Moringa body lotion.
I do like the 7 Virtues scents. Keep meaning to buy the box set…. it’s *somewhere* on my ‘to-buy-someday’ list
It’s on my list too! 🙂
From the sample drawer…. Something called Bamboo Harmony by By Killian… I defy a man in a rush stuck in an endless security line at the airport to tell the difference between this and Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea… The notes on Fragrantica say it has white tea, mate, fig leaves and oakmoss… (which does sound amazing!)… but I get fresh citrus and pale green tea…and some other interesting vibes… but to nine out of ten tired noses in a queue… Elizabeth Arden. However, I bet this baby has way more staying powder…so its me and Green Tea for the long haul.
I love the original Calice Beckers in the original BK L’Oeuvre Noire and her first two Ouds, but have been underwhelmed by anything since (that I have tried – I must have missed one or two). The packaging has been great – I would be very happy to have one of the snake clutches or the white version of the original bottles.
Very apt your choice of the man stuck in the endless security line, LOL.
I finally scratched my itch on a black snake clutch that happened to come with a bottle of Voulez-Vous Coucher Avec Moi.
What an itch to scratch! How is VVCAM? I want some just so I can tell someone who asks what I am wearing….
LOL – better than I’m wearing Beaver for sure. My package is still pristine but I recall it being a sweet floral, kinda generic smelling. I had BG gift cards so this ended up practically free using perfumath.
Priorities! 😉
Amen, sister!
That clutch does make me drool. Which is not very elegant, but there you are. Me, drooling.
But if it the same way you would drool over eye candy, I’m sure we can find a way to make drooling sophisticated 🙂
I really love my jasmine tea in Becker’s Imperial Tea… but “white tea” is sort of a nebulous scent association…it feels like Bamboo Harmony was committee designed…
Have you tried Imperial Tea? Happy to share if you are in the US!
Thanks, it had positive reviews and comments, so I did get a sample. At first sniff, it reminded me of Tommy Girl, which makes sense because that’s also a Calice Becker creation. I should try it again now that the weather is different.
After my day started to improve yesterday afternoon (Luckyscent order arrived, I reduced my AT&T bill and arranged new internet service without yelling, and the grocery store had my favorite sandwich cheese on special. It’s the little things), I risked a spray of Byredo’s Rose of No Man’s Land on the back of my hand. Wow. It’s still with me this morning so I’m just going to refresh and run with it. I haven’t liked a rose soliflore this much in quite a while, but it isn’t actually anything I can pin down. If I analyze it, it’s just a clear, peppery rose.
Your luck was due to change, MM, and I’m glad it did. Always looking on a quest for my HG rose soliflore, so very curious about this Byredo. Pepper makes me a bit nervous. The newer roses all seem to be spoiled by either spiky woods or white musk.
It isn’t annoying me, the pepper. I’ve decided it reminds me of the old Caldrea Rose Pink Peppercorn stuff but much nicer, also reminds me a bit of a sheer version of Agent Provocateur, but I haven’t sniffed either in so long they probably don’t have that much in common.
It really sounds worth trying!
Impressive staying power! I’m glad you like it with the kind of longevity it has.
Seems like everything was going your way yesterday 🙂
Fille en aiguilles
Songes body oil with a few dabs of CDG Luxe Champaca edt to add some crispness. Having tropical daydreams on this dreary, drizzly day.
Wish I was wearing what you’re wearing….
Oh, now you have to bring up Songes body oil and get that back on my mind, lol!!! I am sure you smell gorgeous!
Hi, everyone. It’s Friday! Eggzellent! I’m wearing my only YSL perfume, Rive Gauche, which I love to wear at weekends with a crisp white shirt and jeans. Can’t be in such totally relaxed clothes today, though, because of a really dull Thing I have to do this afternoon, so I’m currently experiencing a slight disjoin between the story the perfume tells me and the clothes I’ve chosen. I daresay I’ll reconcile the separate elements of my outfit eventually, but right now I feel a little as though my elbows are facing the wrong way, or something uncomfortable of that sort. I’m not quite totally happy n my skin, anyway.
French week (not official, but I’m doing one) + participating in a meeting with the Swedish Finance Minister = Une Fleur de Cassie. Six meetings, two interviews and one press point today, so I’m totally exhausted. And apologies for not replying to anyone in recent days, but really having time management issues.
Glad you still have time to post. I would probably blow it off if I had that much to do. Hope you’re feeling up to blogging again soon, though I can understand why you aren’t.
Thank you for saying that. I’ll definitely be back at it next week, currently struggling to organize a shoot in Tallinn over the weekend.
I don’t really mind being busy and I do enjoy the adrenaline quite a bit, as long as it’s meaningful-busy, not stupid-busy. And if it doesn’t last forever.
What a brilliant perfume choice!
Thank you! It enjoyed it, too.
Sounds like a very exciting day!
It was, indeed. I used to travel much more for work, now it’s a special occasion when I do. And there’s a lot happening in Sweden at the moment, plus I like the country and speak the language a bit.
Nice intellectual (but beautiful) scent for your line-up today. I need to wear that one more often. Good luck with all that!
Thank you! And do wear it, I have come to like it even more than I used to.
I’m sampling Bvlgari Black, which was almost a blind buy for me but I went with a sample instead. No surprise, I love it!
Glad to hear! Where did you get the sample?
Wearing Shalimare Ode a la Vanille. I was thinking of Theorema but it wouldn’t suit the bakery too much today.
Ah-since I am still commando I am thinking Shalimar Vanille would be great for a day like today.
I really need to get a sample of this, as I am sure I will love it….I have a list of 7 Vanilla perfumes I want to sample or restock. Not sure why I haven’t pulled the trigger on this list…
They have a sample of this on surrender to chance I believe and you can still buy the bottles online.
What are the others on the list?
It seems like it has been gray and rainy for weeks (it hasn’t, just feels like it) so I wanted something bright and spring-like. Promesse de l’Aube to the rescue!
I hear u foxbins!- although autumn has been lovely this year, in the English country side, the rain of the last few day’s has seemed interminable!
wearing L’air de Rien to fight off the chill and damp. I always find this so comforting.
International Men’s DAY?! I guess that has brought out the cynic in me…better wear some Candy to sweeten my response.
It might be fun to look at it as a day to celebrate international men (versus local ones). 🙂
I’m just looking forward to the next 364 days which must be for women…given that men only have one day a year. LOL
Kanuka, You might enjoy Richard Herring’s piece for the Guardian today. 😉 !
I saw that – thanks! I am just being very churlish, of course…so will wear (old) Eau Sauvage as a token of my goodwill.
That was my thought, too!
ikr? I might take the opposite approach and wear one of my fav masculines tonight, such as Jacomo Eau Cendrée, Egoïste, or Knize Ten. 😉
🙂
Glum November day here. Had to break out the vinty YSL Rive Gauche parfum, which I’d been saving for tomorrow. It seems more tailored and less rosy than my EdT in the metal spray container, but it’s early in the story.
SOTD is vintage Caron Parfum Sacre edp. Mellow and elegant and warm. I wish I had put more on.
Mmmmmmmm.
I am in the different-but-somehow-related Lyric Woman.
You both smell lovely!
You smell beautiful.
Today I am wearing DSH’s Scent of Hope, which did not appeal the other day, but feels just right today…She has just released some new fragrances, one of which sounds extremely interesting to me, called, “The Voices of Trees.” Has anyone tried this yet?
I like Scent of Hope, and had not thought of wearing it in the fall. I’d be curious about The Voices of Trees, too.
Really love that fragrance name. (I checked the description while on the site recently and I don’t think it would be to my taste, so didn’t order a sample. All the same, the name really pleases me.)
Hello all and happy AFD (Almost Friday Day)!
SOTD is the wonderous and delightful SL Chergui ????
Love the concept of AFD…
The trouble is, Sunday then becomes AMD…
SOTD SHL 777 Soleil De Jeddah. I bought a small 5 ml decant and have just tried it. I should not have tried it, I love it and wanting a FB. Note to self; never never never try SHL frags – almost each and every one of them ends up on FB list.
The prices are crushing. Even if they ever end up on discount sites, they will still be very expensive.
Fortunately, the 3 that I love are under $200 and some of those are discounted on Beautyspin. Or maybe I just tell myself I like those more than the $300-500 ones 😉 He does make some beauties!
Which ones do you love? I’ve only tried Khol de Bahrain and frankly, wasn’t bowled over.
That one DID bowl me over, along with Rose de Petra (now a FB owner) and Nuit a Doha( I’m an immortelle fan).
Having a super busy day, so just popped in to say Rose Anonyme for SOTD.
Shalimar EDP. Ahh.
Since I seem to be draining my 30ml bottle at an alarming rate I’ve been thinking of -perhaps, maybe- looking into a vintage version of this brew rather than buying another EDP. Not sure what *more* a vintage could offer if the current version is lubberly as it is. Hmm.
Sounds like you should try the extrait/parfum concentration.
Ah aye, hadn’t thought about the extrait. Must see if I can find it somewhere.
Still on my Chanel kick — it’s Cuir de Russie today. Which I may, just possibly, have worn a bit much of. I started out the work day in a meeting in an overly-warm conference room. I stepped out for a few minutes then came back, and could definitely tell that the room was scented with the floral top notes from CdR. I’ll just consider it my contribution to making the meeting slightly less dull.
Well done.
Hope your meetings were successful!
It’s your civic duty to liven things up a bit 😉
Needed something cheerful so was in Hanbury today. Did the trick!
SOTE: My Sin, which I am currently fascinated with due to the following sequence of events:
1. Found giant container of My Sin body powder at an estate sale. Started using it. Thought, Hm, doesn’t smell very interesting, kind of just like powder
2. Found teeny micro mini of vintage My Sin in an antique store. Tried it on. Smells very interesting.
3. Also smells EXACTLY LIKE THE POWDER.
So now I’m a little obsessed with how the same smell can be so ignorable in one mode and so intense in another. Like I feel like my nose has been tricked. But it is a fun confusion that I am finding so so interesting.
Interesting. I bought a vintage My Sin on eBay, but it was totally turned and icky. Better luck next time, I hope.
Huh. That is fascinating. Now I’m going to be alert to see if I can spot this olfactory trick.
The Everything is Awesome Week is almost over! Turns out I was wrong about having an afternoon meeting, so there was only the one morning meeting of We are Great. Wore Ambre de Merveilles and it was very protective.
I hated the We are Great meetings. They usually occurred as everything was going to hell in a handbasket.
Home at last! Not a layering experiment, just wanting to wear all the perfumes now that I can, I have Shangri La on the right upper body, 24 Faubourg on the left (I didn’t see the similarities until now, btw) and as soon as I change I think Mohur on lower left and Une Rose de Kandahar on lower right. They may smell me from the moon and I’m perfectly ok with that!
Welcome home! Enjoy your scent bath 🙂
Thanks! That’s exactly what it is…a scent bath 🙂
SOTD = Chanel 28 La Pausa
8-spray La Pausa lasted over 10 hours. It is fleeting but if one oversprays, there is no need to touch up. Of course, it could be very different for each person. Oh how I wish this came in parfum extrait!
Thinking I’m the last person on earth who had never smelled Encre Noir, I decided to check out my local Marshalls. I ended up with 2 cheap thrills: Adam Levine for Her for $9.99 and Marc Jacob BANG for $14.99. BANG had no price tag and it took 5 minutes for someone to decide that it’s $14.99. Combined, I’m under Free. The search continues for Encre Noir.
If you can wait 2 weeks, I’ll spritz you(I have a decant). Many of those perfume discount places bet 28th &30th bet 5th & 6th Ave have it and will let you test it.
I can wait 🙂
Late again today. I wore Black Jade all day and am testing Mitsouko Perfume and Mohur Extrait. All I can say is Wow and Wow. Budget-smuget, oh well. Not sure if anyone will see this but can anyone tell me if the EDPs are anywhere near as nice as the perfume versions of these two?
I can only vouch for Mohur – the extrait is the way to go!
I was afraid that someone was going to say that. I looked it up on LS and the price is way beyond my comfort zone. I guess I’ll just make due with samples. Thanks Hajusuuri!
Kouros 🙂
Autumn friday scented by Body Kouros, YSL.
