Liquides Imaginaires Peau de Bete ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 5 October 2015 3 Comments

Liquides Imaginaires Peau de Bête

French niche line Liquides Imaginaires will launch Peau de Bête, a new unisex fragrance, later this month.

"A tribute to the natural beauty of the beast," said Philippe Di Meo, the creator of this truly exceptional fragrance, Peau de Bête.

Peau de Bête is an animalistic revelation: a wild ride of a perfume stuffed with herbs, spices and aromatic woods, which are in turn brilliantly supported by savage animal notes such as castoreum, civet and skatoles. And even if the perfume didn’t make use of highly unusual and rare notes such as safranal, parsley seed, ambrarome-absolue, and wild oats, Peau de Bête would still be an utterly unique creation – quite without compare in the fragrance world.

Additional notes include chamomile, cumin, black pepper, gaiac wood, cedar, patchouli, cypriol, amyris and styrax.

Liquides Imaginaires Peau de Bête can be pre-ordered now at Essenza Nobile in Germany, in 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

Beast’s Hide, what an interesting name. (Doesn’t sound like my thing, but interesting.)

It sounds a bit animalic for me…but it’s pretty rare that anything turns out that way. Will probably never see it though.

I smelt this today. It’s very bold, genuinely animalic and smells very “intimate”. As if you’re another animal getting the scent of their privates before deciding to mate. Repulsive and mesmerising at the same time. I’m glad perfumes like this exist even though I don’t think I’d wear it myself – a bit too much of an invitation!
