Surprised it took Diptyque this long to join in on the oud bandwagon. I wonder why these fragrance houses find it necessary to put “oud” in the fragrance name, Palao sounds better!

I’m surprised too, but I guess once you jump on you need oud in the name to announce it 🙂

Diptyque and I haven’t found any common ground yet, but this one sounds interesting to me, and I like the bottle, which is a plus. I’ll sample this when I can…

I have not yet purchased any kind of Oud scent, but this one is appealing if only because it’s by Diptyque. Any recommendations for an accessible but not too mainstream Oud?

I really like The Different Company’s Oud for Love, but the price tag is still an obstacle to owning it.

Midnight Oud by Juliette Has a Gun is a nice rose oud. It’s a bit sexy, but still good for everyday. My favourite is Colonia Oud by Acqua di Parma, rather pricey but really well made and different with it’s citrus/oud combo. Montale also have some nice scents- I like White Aoud, Black Aoud and Nepal Aoud

And how could I forget. If you’re an amber fan, MPG Ambre Dore is to die for, IMHO 🙂

didn’t know Ambre Dore had oud in – now I want to try it even more! One last recommendation to add – Tom Ford’s Woody Oud.

Is this the Diptyque to be put out only in an edp format?

And have to say, the list of notes is hardly novel 😀 But hopefully the scent will be!

Why not call it Paleo Oud and jump on two trends at once? 😉

I’d buy it straight away if I was sure it had no carbs!

Paleo Oud. Gosh. That is very funny.

I guess if really was paleo oud, it would have to be amber…
