L’Occitane Oud & Rose ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 17 July 2015 7 Comments

L'Occitane Oud & Rose

L'Occitane has launched Oud & Rose, a new fragrance in the brand's La Collection de Grasse.

Inspired by the lands of perfume, both near and far away, Oud & Rose Eau de Parfum combines a legendary flower from the region of Grasse with a precious raw material emblematic of the Middle East.

This fragrance opens with gentle floral top notes of peony and bergamot which evolve to reveal a sensual rose heart with tinted notes of the cedar flower. A warm base rounds off this luminous scent and leaves behind a woody trail of spicy oud, beautiful vanilla and oriental patchouli.

L'Occitane Oud & Rose is available in 75 ml Eau de Parfum and in matching body products.

I am not oud’d out, and I am on sort of a rose kick, so this sounds very interesting to me, as long as the patchouli doesn’t overpower everything. Plus the bottle is kinda pretty.

Hope it will get to the US — no idea if it’s limited distribution as well.

I’m not as out-ouded as some of you but I am getting thoroughly irritated by the pseudo-Arabic connection… If it’s intended for the Middle Eastern Market doesn’t this emphasis come across as even more cheesy?

Although, I see it is I’m the standard bottle for this line, and is very pretty :/ So maybe I’m just being a grump! :D

I think one reason we’re seeing all these at the moment is Eid…

    Well I hope it’s better than Montale’s.
