Givenchy Insense Ultramarine Blue Energy ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 16 July 2015 2 Comments

Givenchy Insensé Ultramarine Blue Energy

Givenchy has launched Insensé Ultramarine Blue Energy, a new limited edition fragrance for men. Insensé Ultramarine Blue Energy is a flanker to 1994's Insensé Ultramarine, which was a flanker to 1993's Insensé.

The notes include lime, watermelon, pineapple, mint, pink pepper, cardamom, cedar, sandalwood and vetiver.

Givenchy Insensé Ultramarine Blue Energy is available now in Japan, in 50 ml Eau de Toilette.

My dad loved the original ultramarine… so I guess this will make a nice giftable 😉

Not sure about the Pineapple though…

The original Insense, along with the original Egoiste were two mainstream launches of the early 90s that smelled really weird.. bitter is the word I would use to describe them.

Chanel faced with the poor reception launched Platinum Egoiste soon after, and Guerlain launched the Ultramarine for, I believe, the same reasons. Of course this is my personal opinion based on stuff I read in the 90s and talks with sales persons around that time… so take with a grain of salt. 😉

I have never smelled any of the Insense series! This sounds awfully calone-ish, so probably not my cup of tea.
