Carlos Kusubayashi of A Lab on Fire will launch One Night in Rio, an "unbranded" fragrance, next month. The new fragrance from perfumer Jean-Marc Chaillan "explores the mystery of Rio de Janeiro".
Night air strokes skin, cheek against shoulder, neck bare. Night air against curved back, touched gently, a new love—his open-armed embrace. Music catches up to you and everyone is dancing, the road is dancing, the cars are dancing. Guarded by its jungled hills, their wide leaves too green, night sky too blue, the city pools. Immerse yourself. Spread your arms out, lithe and swaying. The music plays inside you. Bright street, dark alley. One night to discover a delicate moment in full bloom.
The notes include black pepper, neroli, passion fruit, tiare flower, magnolia, musk, white amber and vanilla.
One Night in Rio will debut at Colette in Paris, size and concentration unknown.

I haven’t tried anything from this line and this actually sounds pretty good but I’m much more concerned that I now have ‘One Night in Bangkok’ stuck in my head with no end in sight.
Hey, that’s a great idea for a perfume too!
One night in Bangkok and the world’s your oyster, right?
First thing I thought of. “What night in Rio – I want Bangkok!”
It does sounds a bit banal. But there is something with this company, that seems to get the banal right in their fragrances..I am very fond of their “What We Do In Paris” 🙂
I liked that one too.
