Sweet Anthem Enchanted collection ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 15 April 2015 2 Comments

Sweet Anthem Briar Rose

Seattle-based indie brand Sweet Anthem has launched the Enchanted collection, with four fragrances inspired by fairy tales: Red Queen, Black Queen, Briar Rose and Snow White.

Though we've always had a penchant for storytelling through perfume, it's rare that we're so overt about the origins of our tales. But who doesn't love a good fairy tale? In our new "Enchanted" series, perfumer Meredith Smith explores classic heroes and villains that we all know and love (and in some cases, love to hate).

Red Queen (reissue) ~ "A familiar face returns to finish what she started. All smoke and leather, a drunken rose, ripe fig, white pepper."

Black Queen ~ "Overly obsessed with her apple orchard and being the fairest in the land. A dark, green blend of apple, melon-y linden blossom, damp oakmoss, smoky tonka bean."

Briar Rose ~ "Hidden behind a rose-covered castle lies a sleeping beauty, waiting for true love's kiss. Sultry beeswax, a waxy rose otto, bright tomato leaf, and white amber to soften the cursed affair."

Snow White ~ "The fairest of them all, or so sayeth a magic mirror. Bright green petit grain, apricot-tinged osmanthus blossoms, on a base of sheer, woodsy vetiver."

Sweet Anthem Red Queen, Black Queen, Briar Rose and Snow White available in 10 ml Eau de Parfum or 5 ml Solid Perfume.

For some reason I always start hearing “Sweet Jane” when I see this perfume line’s name…
