Posted by Robin on 19 February 2015 9 Comments

Le Couvent des Minimes Eau des Mâtines

Le Couvent des Minimes has launched Eau des Mâtines ('Botanical Cologne of the Morning'), a new unisex fragrance.

Le Couvent des Minimes Botanical Matines Fragrance leaves your skin with a scent of crisp notes of apple that mingle with the freshness of orange, lemon, and basil. The base notes of Woods, Cedar and Soft musk give a feeling of serenity.

Additional notes include pear blossom and mint.

Le Couvent des Minimes Eau des Mâtines is available now at Ulta, $38 for 100 ml.

Doesn’t sound as nice as their other ones.

I’m not a fan of apple or pear, so would have to agree.

Which CdM is people’s favourite? They were right that they are well-priced — less that L’Occitane perfumes if I remember correctly.

Yes, less than L’Occitane for sure. But none of them stand out in my mind. I have not yet tried the rose, but the rest are a blur of citrus-y things, nice, maybe not spectacular.

Eau des Missions seems to be the favorite on here.

Yes, also a favorite on the MakeupAlley site. I have it and love it.

I second Eau des Missions. I also really liked Eau Aimable, which is a pretty orange blossom.

I really like Eau Aimable/Cologne of Love. Long-lasting orange blossom with no indoles and no soap. Just lovely greeny-golden joy.
