Olfactive Studio Panorama ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 6 February 2015 9 Comments

Olfactive Studio Panorama

French niche line Olfactive Studio will launch a new fragrance, Panorama, in March. Panorama was inspired by the Sheats Goldstein house in Beverly Hills.

...the view out of the house really takes our breath away! An unbelievable panorama unfolds - the city of angels in the middle of a rich green sea. The air is filled with a cocktail of fresh green and seductive floral notes. At this magical place we find the inspiration for this extraordinairy [sic] fragrance.

The headnote is quite a surprise with a hot breath of Wasabi, followed by fig leaves, bamboo leaves, bergamot, and lemon. With a soft blow we find freshly cut grass, tenderly scenting violet leaves, galbanum, and cardamom. The basis of this fragrance unveils myrrh, fir balm, patchouly, tonka bean, vanilla, musk, and labdanum.

Olfactive Studio Panorama will be available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

The notes sound promising. I’ve noticed that sephora has started caring this line in store (along with L’Artisan which was previously only online) so I’ll definitely go check it out when it’s released. It seems like Sephora has been really adding to their fragrance offerings lately. They’ve got quite a few CDG scents online and just last night I noticed they are now carrying the entire Tom Ford lineup as well.

At the moment Sephora has a pretty darned good collection…better than many department stores, including Nordstrom.

That they do. The two major lines they are missing (at least here in Canada) are Chanel and Hermes.

They have Hermes here, but honestly can’t remember if they have Chanel.

At my (smallish) local Sephora, I know they have Chance, Addict, Allure, and Coco Mademoiselle (and some flankers). Haven’t seen L’Artisan in-store yet.

I love the inspiration behind this, and the notes sound pretty good too.
