Posted by Robin on 15 October 2014 13 Comments

Abercrombie & Fitch Fierce Confidence & Fierce Intense

Abercrombie & Fitch has launched Fierce Confidence and Fierce Intense, two new flankers to 2002's Fierce for Men.

Fierce Confidence (above left) ~ "With hints of pure white amber and citrus aroma, this distinctive energetic scent is the perfect addition to any man’s repertoire." Additional notes for include pineapple leaf, basil, bergamot, mandarin, elemi, pear, cardamom, lavender, sage, orris musk and driftwood. $54 for 50 ml.

Fierce Intense (above right) ~ "Built to make a lasting impression, FIERCE INTENSE is the strongest, longest lasting fragrance and is the first ever concentrated scent for A&F."  The notes are the same as for the original Fierce: watermelon, marine breeze, sage, gingerlily, wheat extract, cashmere woods and musk. $118, size unknown.

If A&F are serious about trying to repair their brand, they’ve GOT to stop releasing products with packaging like Fierce Confidence. Shopping at a store that has advertising like that is one thing. Purchasing a product that features that photo directly on it is another thing entirely. I can’t think of a single person, male/female/gay/straight/young/old who would seriously want that bottle sitting on their dresser.

    Maybe I’m wrong.

But I think I’m not, and stuff like this is doing them more harm than good.

I honestly couldn’t say…I know absolutely zip about their customer base. My son refuses to enter the store, not entirely sure why. (He doesn’t like to go into any stores, mind you, but can be dragged into some. Not A&F)

Their ads have always been tacky.

I admittedly liked Fierce for a while though, quite some time ago..until I smelled it all over..sprayed all over. Most wearers over apply that stuff. A like became disdain.

I know, right? Like it’s not intense enough? Yikes.

I don’t shop at A&F, never will. They had some ads that got pulled, that made many ppl angry, myself included. (they were of children). Their products stink anyway.

Oh, please don’t let them spray that one all over the mall areas outside their stores. The regular Fierce is Intense enough – I have walked outside malls and around to another entrance just to avoid that stuff.

That bottle on the left looks like an exceptionally buff frat boy who got drunk and put a lampshade over his head.

Yikes…the second fragrance is the strongest fragrance they’ve ever made?

FIERCE INTENSE is the strongest, longest lasting fragrance and is the first ever concentrated scent for A&F

Yikes…there were complaints in the news about customers saying the stores reeked of their fragrances…now they are releasing a more intense fragrance? No lo comprendo…

Think how annoying it would be if the fragrance in the abs bottle actually turned out to be excellent.

Yet another fragrance with a ‘power’ word in its title. Like Kevin said about the Choo men’s frag, perfumes seem to be all about ‘power’ and ‘fierce’ and such so-called ‘tough’ images. I think kids these days get the wrong impression of strength because of stooopit ad copy like this. I mean, I’m down with rainbows and unicorns myself. Hello Kitty, anyone? ;)

I also feel the need to stick a clothespin on my nose whenever I walk past the A&F at our mall.

“Fierce” should be the name of Christian Siriano’s new perfume.
