Do share your scent of the day, if you have time. And happy Thursday!
I'm in Serge Lutens Iris Silver Mist.
Reminder: this Friday, 26 September, will be Uncle Serge Day...wear something by Serge Lutens. The following Friday, 3 October, is Purgatory Basket Friday...find a sample you haven't been able to make up your mind about, give it a second chance.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2014, where I'll try to always have the next six or seven weeks mapped out in advance.

Laura Mercier Crême Brulée, from a sample. Basically a somewhat pricier Demeter scent, I think (although the Demeter version has been discontinued).
Really? Didn’t know they discontinued things…the line is so huge. I guess they must have to sometimes.
Basenotes lists 337 Demeter scents, which is amazing. Usually it’s the weirder ones that get discontinued like Lettuce and Crust of Bread, but also things like the lovely Kahala line get ditched. I’m not actually certain Crême Brûlée was discontinued but it’s not currently available.
Thanks. Too bad…I’d love to try Crust of Bread.
Crust of Bread sounds potentially amazing. I have a candle that’s “baguette” scented, and while everyone else thinks it’s weird, I’d GLADLY allow that scent to hover around me all day.
SOTD: Fifi Chachnil. I have a decant, but I’d love a bottle.
Is it still in production? That used to be so popular, but rarely hear about it now.
Wish I had a bottle, too!
I love fifi! I wish I had a bottle too, but I must live with my large decant. It’s a wonderful fragrance!
Looks like it is, not sure how easy it is to get though!
I’m in a splash of Philosophy Fresh Cream right now, and thinking about the best fragrance for Rosh Hashanah dinner tonight. I want to wear Botrytis, but is it too on the nose in a “she spilled something on herself” way? Maybe Amouage Lyric Woman?
I didn’t have enough Serges around to do a full Uncle Serge week, but I am plotting to do five days of purgatory basket next week… maybe morning and night… I have a bit of a sample problem.
Ha, you’re not the only one with that problem 😉
Nope. I would have the money for several nice FBs if I could resist the lure of the unknown.
I wish you hadn’t brought that up, MikasMinion…
👿
Happy New year to you and all who celebrate!
Thank you for all the well wishes yesterday! I’m feeling much better today.
For the second time this week, I’m wearing Cardinal and am still in love, but what I keep getting whiffs of is the monoi I put in my hair. It’s such an interesting smell–not what I expected at all–but I’m totally fascinated by it.
So glad you’re feeling better! Cardinal + monoi sounds like it would be a great combination.
Yum, Robin. I think I’ll join you with some iris silver mist.
🙂
SOTD is a Smell Bent Frankensmellie – Cocoa Rose. I really like this one. I wish that they would put my favorite Frankensmellies in their regular rotation. I’m scared that the Frankensmellies that I like will go away before I decide which I like well enough for a FB.
Cocoa rose! Two of my favorite things. Sounds amazing, I bet you smell great 😉
SOTD is L’Artisan L’eau d’Ambre. Cozy scent for a flight back home 🙂
Four spritzes of L’Arte di Gucci today, as I work at home. Desperately-needed haircut scheduled for this afternoon.
*This* is the kind of patchouli I can get behind – herbal, green, almost astringent but in a rich sort of way, singing liebeslieder with rose.
Gorgeous choice! I think we are about on the same page with patchouli. It’s one of my fav dark bases too. It’s one of the best discontinued fragrances EVER!
SOTD is Violet Blonde. I’ll eventually need to make a decision for tomorrow… I was planning on Douce Amere but now Iris Silver Mist sounds like a good choice too.
I’ve never worn Douce Amere but ISM is certainly a worthwhile spritz for Uncle Serge Day.
I am thinking either Arabie or Sarrasins for tomorrow. Haven’t worn Arabie in a long time.
I wore Arabie yesterday and realized that it’s the only Lutens I’ve ever smelled that is actually sexy. The others I know are intellectual or mysterious or strange or charming, but Arabie is really hot-sweaty-skin sexy.
I am going for Arabie too!
I’m wearing Violet Blonde today too. I really like it for the office.
Violet Blonde usually gets me the most compliments when I wear it to the office.
Violet Blonde is both elegant and friendly, if you get what I mean :).
I am wearing MH Geranium Bourbon today. Really like it!
You smell great!
I’m wearing Cristalle EDT. I wanted somthing crisp and green but with enough substance for this day and Cristalle is the perfect choice for that.
I love Cristalle..as wall is Cristalle eau Verte
I like them both, too!
I’m wearing AG Mon Parfum Cherie Par Camille from a small sample. I would love a full bottle of this, but its hard to find these days. I’ve heard it will be reissued – wonder if the new version will be the same?
I’ve heard it’s available online now – but don’t know what it smells like now, sorry!
The EDP is back. I haven’t tried it yet, so I can’t compare.
The “new” one is in their clear bottle whereas the original one comes in the nice dark red bottle. I’d recommend buying the older version online – it’ll be much cheaper and the bottle is cute.
Try Beautyencounter.com, they had the old red bottle last time I checked.
Thanks, I’ll try Beautyencounter.
EnVoyage Indigo Vanilla which I need a full bottle of. So cozy on a rainy day
Got a sample of this the other day and am really enjoying the chocolate trio including Indigo Vanilla.
On first application I think it’s just ok but as time passes it really transforms on me into something really unusual and beautiful- do you find that it morphs quite a bit on you?
It was just about love as soon as it hit my skin but I did find it a little more changeable during the heat and humidity of summer
Hermes Mandarine Ambrée today, a bit too weak for this cold and rainy Thursday, but I was meeting up with unknown people for a contract signing so didn’t want a scent to stand between them and me.
I know that feeling. It is weird, I often wear a quiet scent for those meeting heavy days and feel vaguely disappointed, but if I wore the same quiet scent just because I like it fine. I guess I still have a bit of the truculent teenager in my personality.
Sometimes using scent to expand my personality feels fine, sometimes I am not comfortable with it. But then the occasion often is our of the ordinary in this way or that and I don’t know the rest of the players and my role in connection to theirs.
It’s cold here today and I wanted something warm so I am wearing Opium. It’s not the very old stuff, I think I bought my bottle in the early ’90s at TJ Maxx or the like, but it still smells like it should. I don’t wear it often but it’s wonderful when I do.
I’m thinking of wearing one of my skank monsters, Jicky.
I say do it:).
Go skank!
If there’s ever a Skanky Friday, I will have to take a pass 😉
Venezia, the re-issued one from 2011, today. It was an absolute favourite years ago and this is a really lovely reminder – probably not identical but special all the same. Perfectly suited to autumn and all those mellow mists and fruitfulness (or grey days, as the case may be)!
I used to wear Venezia when it came out. I always forget that I did, but it was one of my favorites for a few years when I was also wearing Dune and Coco.
Sounds like we have similar taste – makes me think I really should try Dune!
Dune is really beautiful.
I used to wear Venezia back in the day too. Loved it. I also really liked Roma, which apparently is inspired by Dune. I think I wore the 2 Biagiottis at the same time.
I keep finding we like more and more of the same! 😉
Burberry Brit Sheer, it’s a light floral white musk thing. Fits my morning perfectly, for a reason I just can’t put my finger on.
Good morning, all!
I drained a 50 mL bottle of this one summer and have not touched my back-up bottle since then.
I can see that happening. It also wears off quickly (although I do have big expectations for longevity, so I set myself up for disappointment there somewhat).
Just right for when it’s right and not much more 🙂
But…did give me the chance to roll on some CK Reveal, which I am totally digging.
I’m using up the last tiny little bit of my Boxeuses decant today. I love this one.. I wish it were in the export line so there might be some chance I could afford it. I was going to save it for tomorrow, but there is so little here. I think I might do Bas de Soie tomorrow.
Wearing Bas de Soie today, a nice office scent. Might wear it again tomorrow, or the Chergui.
To celebrate the return of the warm days I chose Eau de Courreges.
Always one of my
favorite
I’m in Theorema from a “new” bottle that just arrived a day or so ago. It doesn’t seem as “potent” as a spritz from my sample decant though. Hmmm.
Makes sense…any decant is likely to have lost at least some top notes.
The new bottle seems to disappear so quickly – in about an hour. The sample lasts significantly longer.
Yesterday’s sss winter woods ended in a woody amber that done drove me crazy (and that I imagine I can still smell now). I am weirdly sensitive to them. They grow monstrous on my skin/in my nose or brain.
So I put on a dab of a sample I know I enjoy from beginning to end… Maroc pour Elle. It works with the sunny fall air, I hope.
Maroc pour Elle is one of my fav Tauers. I wear that a lot in the summer. It smells so wonderful!
Maybe *that’s* what I don’t like about Winter Woods–woody amber? I can’t do Forest Walk, either. Something BIG and SWEET overwhelms anything else in them for me.
I get the same thing with Forest Walk. I don’t necessarily dislike it, but it wasn’t what I expected. I suspect it’s the labdanum, which I know I pick up pretty strongly, sometimes at the expense of every other note in a perfume. And I love labdanum on its own, but I don’t want it to take center stage when it’s not supposed to.
The SSS base notes all are really persistent for me too, which is good when I’m prepared for it but when I forget…not so much. Winter Woods is one of the few I haven’t tried.
JJ, do you have a favourite Tauer?
I’ve only tried a couple of samples so far… Maroc pour Elle and orange star I’ve loved…
Curious about l’air du desert… etc
I’ve intellectually liked incense extreme, but I don’t know if it’s me.
Yes, I have 3 from the SSS line and they all last for days, no exaggeration! I usually do a teeny tiny spritz right around the belly button area. Chest or neck sprays are too close to my nose and a little overpowering.
I love the quality of SSS perfumes and have learned that a little goes a LONG way and to aim a bit lower than usual to help diffuse the scent. 🙂
I’ve liked the 17 ml dabber bottle for almost all the SSS I have. They do need a light touch! If applied just right they are so wonderful. The only SSS that I could just drown myself in is the original Rose Musc, which I just adore.
Enjoying a bit of Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt, which is very nice for this time of year in New England.
I am a new englander as well. This is my fav time of year.
Getting out of the city next week to head into the country and experience the other aspects of fall..
I have been wanting to try that one. I smelled it on a scent strip but think it will be lovely in person
For how long does it stay on you? When I tested it recently it disappeared too quickly (I mean, much more quickly than usually most of JM do).
I agree with you Undina. Sadly, it only seems to last about two hours on me.
When I get my FB tomorrow, I’ll ne spraying from a bottle to bet a truer gauge. So far from the sample, 4 sprays lasted at least 6 hours.
SOTD is Elizabeth & James Nirvana Black, which reminds me of a lighter take on EL Sensuous Noir. It doesn’t stay long on my perfume devouring skin but I do like it quite a bit while it lasts. And it received favorable comments from Mr. Ab. Scent, my 8-year-old and a friend all in one morning, which is pretty unusual.
I’m wearing Nirvana Black today, too. I think that I like it. I can’t smell any violet. I applied one swipe from the rollerball about three hours ago and it’s still going strong. I wonder how it would layer with Violetta di Bosco (i Profumi di Firenze)? I’m going to go find my sample.
You smell lovely!
On my skin, the florals are a rather indistinct blur for maybe the first hour or so and then it’s mostly just sweet woods after that. Layering with VdB sounds like a great idea! Off to go get my bottle and give it a try. Great suggestion. Thanks. 🙂
I’m liking how they layer. I think I “need” a FB of VdB. I wish that iPdF sold all of their perfumes in the 12 ml bottles.
I have a sample of Atelier Sous le Toit de Paris — it’s very good, but it needs more violet flower (it has plenty of violet leaf) for my tastes. Hmmm … next VdB layering experiment?
I love Nirvana Black. It is my aunt’s signature scent and her whole house smells lightly of it, so I like it for that reason, as well as it being an excellent scent.
Warming up for SL day tomorrow with Chergui today. I haven’t worn this in forever (I have just a decant), but it’s just the right pick-me-up for a blah, grey day.
I am unintentionally in tune with the community today–wearing a dab of several different Serge samples. The current deal on the Palais Royal Petit Livre is encouraging some retail therapy. (I had to put one of my cats down on Monday, and it was the first time I’d ever had to make that decision. I feel ok about it now it’s done, but *deciding* was tough.)
After sampling the 5 SLs that I had tucked away in various locations, I’m leaning towards a bottle of Chergui. It seems especially nice on this cool, moist fall day we’re having. However, I have vacillated about 5 o’clock au Gingimbre in the past, and I suspect it would get worn, too. Although it may be too similar to my various spicy tea scents already in the collection. . .
I dunno. I’m not usually an impulsive purchaser, and I have some time to decide. Wouldn’t be opposed to some encouragement or brakes, though!
Marjorie, I seem to be the only person who thinks that Chergui and Bulgari Black are almost dups rather than having a vague resemblance, but if you do have the Black you might want to try a side-by-side comparison. You also might want to try a spicy tea-off with the 5 O’clock and the others.
This is a good tip for me since I don’t have any Serge except Sa Majeste la Rose. I’ll wear my Bulgari Black tomorrow and pretend it’s Chergui, which I’ve never smelled! Thanks!
I *do* have Black already–and I nearly never wear it! It has that pink eraser note that bugs me. I will try them side-by-side and report back!
I haven’t tried either, so I can’t help you with that decision, but some retail therapy sounds like it is in order. Not sure what the deal is, but SL is one of the better priced lines these days, so it’s not exorbitant! And I want to send some hugs your way – it is such a hard decision to be faced with. Hope you are doing OK.
Yeah–SL seems like a downright bargain these days!
I’m so sorry about your cat. Yes, the hard part is making the decision. Hugs to you.
I really like Five O’ Clock but haven’t pulled the trigger on anything larger than a decant either, even when I have seen it at a really good price. Someday I’ll probably kick myself for it. It just seems a tiny bit soulless and thin. A waif of a scent but a really great office friendly perfume.
I’ve never tried Chergui so I’m no help there, but it is high on my want-to-sample list. I have a feeling it would be FBW for me.
Thanks for the hugs!
Maybe 5O’CaG (is that the right acronym?) *is* missing something? But the other side of that is that because it’s not too complicated, it’s pretty easy to wear! OTOH, I already have Jacomo #8 for an easy to wear spicy tea.
So sorry about your cat, but glad you feel okay now about the decision – means it was the right one. As for Chergui – I have a bottle and I love it, especially since I feel it works well in any weather. It blooms beautifully in heat and humidity.
I wondered if Chergui might be pretty versatile. Thanks for the input!
So, so sorry to hear about your cat! I’m sure you did the most loving thing you could do!
Thank you! It was really hard to have him feeling so sick. I think I’m mostly just relieved now to know he isn’t suffering.
I’m sorry about your cat, I’ve had to do this numerous times and it doesn’t get any easier. But there is a comfort in knowing that you did the right thing and your special pet is now at peace. I say treat yourself a little, you deserve it!
It was a gift to see him relax under sedation. It also helped me realize how tense, and presumably uncomfortable, he had been. And thanks for the enabling! Too bad there’s so many less satisfying and more practical ways I could spend my money. . .
I only own one spicy tea scent (Jacomo 08) and I would not mind having more of them. Five O’Clock Au Gingembre has been on my to-sample list for a while.
I’m sorry about your cat; ending his suffering was a very compassionate thing to do.
You make a good point! I’m not sure I tire of comforting, spicy tea scents!
And thank you–I tried to do what was best for him. I think I did.
SOTD is an early jump into Uncle Serge’s arms with Daim Blonde- forgot how potent this stuff is! I may have been a tad heavy handed with my one half of a spritz- I think my neighbors downwind can smell me 😉
Wearing my Daim Blond sample, again in keeping with the Serge theme. 🙂
Hey, we smell FAN-tastic!
I am in big, bad trouble (as my daughter would say) for tomorrow. I can’t believe that after all these years, I’ve only smelled *four* Serge Lutens fragrances! I know I liked Daim Blonde, but I don’t have a sample of it. I had a Chypre Rouge that I swapped away. And the only one I actually have in bottle form is Sa Majeste la Rose from a swap. Yikes. So tomorrow doesn’t bode well for me in this category b/c I don’t think it’s going to a big rose kind of day. I realize that I need to catch up with Serge asap. I also wish there was some sort of peripheral info of a house or whatever that influenced Serge so I could at least be in the ballpark…. Feminite du Bois is completely invisible to my nose so that’s that, and I don’t have any anyway. ;-(
SOTD is Mauboussin.
I was about to post about my lack of SL experience too. I think I only have three samples, two tiny decants, and one FB.
I only have 1 FB (Chene) and 1 sample (Un Bois Vanille), neither of which are suitable for the weather we are having so I won’t be taking part. It’s OK!
Don’t feel bad. I don’t keep up with all of Serge’s releases. I don’t know if you like ambers but Ambre Sultan is a wonderful representative of the category. Another one I’m very fond of is Douce Amère.
I’m glad I’m in good company! All this just points out that we can be active and interested and it would be nearly impossible to smell everything! I always figured I’d get to a specialty shop eventually and could smell directly from tester bottles. But aside from one spritz of Daim Blonde at The Perfume House in PDX, it’s never happened. I did sample Portrait of a Lady, but didn’t like that and passed it on. Based on a comment above by AnnieA, I think I’ll wear Bulgari Black and it will be close enough!
Hey guys. Nobody takes away your perfumista pin if you sit out a Friday project! It’s supposed to be fun, not a source of worry 🙂
And I like AnnS’s idea — where something in the same spirit!
I’m pretty much in the same boat too – have only sniffed a few Serges, haven’t been wrestled to the ground by any of them so far, and feel derelict in my duties! But I do have a tiny sample of Bois de Violet for tomorrow. SOTN (bedtime now) is Ambre Narguile on one arm and Ambre des Merveilles on the other. I love them both!
Today I am wearing Chene. Which is both warm and dry, a scent combo that I think is harder to achieve than cool and dry or warm and sweetish. this might be the Comme des Garcons of all the SLs in its starkness and linearity.
It is certainly one of the “driest” Lutens’ scents.
I love Chene and it is the only SL I own. Strangely, I generally like sweeter things but there is just something so comforting about it.
If I would meditate, which I don’t, Chêne would be my choice. There is something very focusing about it.
I thought it was fairly relaxing, too. It’s one of the few Serges I really liked (and surprise, it wasn’t a floral!)
Y’all keep mentioning Chene! I have smelled through the entire SL line several times over ( so much so that the Barneys SAs pretty much leave me alone when i’m cycling through the line). Chene had not left an impression on me but I will pay more attention next time.
Wearing Fresh Brown Sugar today. Sweet, lemony and simple.
Gaiac whatevethehecknumber today. I decided to take an early dip into my purgatory basket. I like it more than most Le Labos and feel like it stands a chance of speaking to me if I try it on the right day, but probably not enough for me to actually spend big money on a bottle. It seems to have less of whatever I always get from this line that gets on my nerves, but it’s early yet. Is it a musk? A woody note? Gets in my throat and really annoys me.
The only one that I really, really like is the Dubai scent, (sorry, I’m lazy today) I think it’s Cuir somerandomnumber, but it disappears in an instant. If it would stick around and play I would consider shelling out for a FB.
Ahem, it’s Gaiac 10 and Cuir 28. The Cuir 28 actually sticks to me all day.
SOTD was Ivoire, a recent blind buy. I expected something crisper and greener, but still, it’s a good office scent.
I am afraid I only have one Lutens, Chergui, and tomorrow will be too hot for me to wear it. I have a sample of Bas de Soie, which should be right up my alley, but isn’t. Maybe I will give it another go.
You are right – the new Ivoire (assuming that’s the one you are talking about) is a totally soft, rounded scent. I like it for that, but I am not a sharp scent lady so it works. I can see being a bit disappointing I’d you are craving an edge.
Yes, the original Ivoire definitely has an edge!
Bois de Violette for me today. It’s really beautiful, but I’m not sure it’s ‘me.’ Still, I’d love to try it sprayed on, instead of dabbed from a sample, just to make sure.
Another pleasant warm day here, my twelve-year-old self is having lunch in the garden, blackberry sandwiches and cocoa. SOTD is my beloved AG Eau de Charlotte, last time for this one until next spring.
SOTD = Guerlain Cuir Beluga
I am waiting for my FB to arrive. I wore Chergui yesterday.
You smell good! ; -)
I’m wearing that most un L’Artisan of L’Artisan’s Nuit de Tuberose. How did this strongly-scented (but beautiful) wonder manage to find its way into L’Artisan’s transparent and often fleeting catalog of scents? Oh well, it’s lovely and I’m enjoying it. No more philosophizing for today.
Oh and by the way…..to those who were kind enough to send good wishes my way on the downsizing, I was told this morning that I am NOT on the chopping list. Hooray! Unfortunately many people I’ve worked with for years and value as colleagues are. Once all is said and done, our office of 38 souls will be an office of 25 souls. So sad for so many.
I’m sorry about the downsizing in your office but at least it didn’t hit you directly. The job market isn’t bad now so let’s hope the laid off co-workers will find other jobs quickly.
Glad you’re safe, & sorry about your co-workers.
Oh, I’m glad that you escaped the chopping block. Very sorry about those 13 co-workers.
And I’m glad they didn’t keep you in suspense for months!
La petite robe noire – with my robe petite noire avec polka dots. Goes with the cheeky look and feel I wanted today – and it had longevity, which is a rare thing for me.
“robe petite noire avec polka dots.” Hee, hee 🙂 Here’s to cheekiness!
SotD – Tauer Perfumes PHI une rose de Kandahar. I’m not sure I could wear Phi often but every time I do I love it. And it already got me one compliment from a co-worker.
*GASP* Phi is my one true love!
You smell great, so that’s compliment no. 2!
Thank you!
I should probably go to the lunch room to eat and see if anybody else likes my perfume 😉
Mmmmm. You know where to get more, my deat 😉
Byredo La Tulipe today.
I recently bought the 3-piece travel atomizer set and the bar soap. A bit fabric softener-ish, but I like it.
La Tulipe makes me happy. It’s simple, pretty, and does not last long on my skin, but I smile while I wear it. Enjoy your new purchases! Let me know if layering fragrance atop the soap makes it last…(she types wistfully 🙂 )
I started off with a sample of Frank Boclet Incense, then decided that was too barbershoppy so I sprayed some Masque Milano Montecristo on as well. But I felt that was lacking an incense note so I also added some Liquides Imaginaires Sanctis for good measure. Ahhh… now we are smelling just right. 🙂
Sancti is spectral 🙂
We went hiking today so I’m in homemade bug spray… Lavender, geranium, citronella, cedar and vanilla. The cedar and subtle citronella are all that’s left. I think 1996 is going on this evening.
Did it work? I mean, as a bug spray?
Side-by-side of Original Musk (Kiehl’s) and Muscs Kublai Khan (Serge Lutens).
You smell…potent 😉 I considered MKK today but will save it for tomorrow.
After a very long time … Hypnotic Poison 😉
Juste Un Reve today, because the weather is trying hard to be spring.
I’m wearing Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black next to i Profumi di Firenze Violetta di Bosco. I started off with NB a few hours ago, was disappointed that the violet never appeared, so I reapplied the NB and spritzed the VdB next to it. So far, so good.
I braved the mall after work yesterday and visited Sephora and L’Occitane. I checked out the Girl (Pharrell Williams’ scent) bottle in person, and it looks like a dead person wearing a shirt with a cartoon character with a SpongeBob SquarePants nose, which appears to be in keeping with the artist’s (KAWS) style. Girl smelled very green on the Girl bottle-replica paperboard test strip.
I fed my soap fetish at L’Occitane. The honey shower gel is back, and on a buy-two-get-one-free sale. I got two bottles of the honey and one of the peche. The bottles are very drab, but it’s what’s inside that counts. They are stackable, and for someone who has a much shower gel as I do, I guess that’s a good thing 🙂 Because I am a regular and it was the woman’s last day at the store, she gave me a gift-with-purchase — two bars of soap (one honey and one lavender), one of which is in an adorable tin.
Oh, and the honey shower gel smells good, but the fragrance is not a strong as it used to be.
I used to love the honey incense but haven’t been to l’Occitane in ages, probably since they stopped carrying the Rose 4 Reines body wash.
Not trying to be an enabler, but … I just saw it on their U.S.A web site 🙂
Oy! You have a soap and shower gel fetish, too? We could be twins!
I have numerous gels and soaps in rotation in the shower. It’s quite crowded in there 🙂
Today, more rose body cream and Tocade. Uncle Serge’s perfumes are problematic for me. I find Chergui similar to Bvlgari Black and not very persistent. I have a sample of Serge Noire which is quite disturbing and fascinating but perhaps not wearable. I love Borneo 1834, but have just a small sample. I have a feeling I would like Gris Clair and Lavende et Encens since I have been craving strange lavender perfume!
If you haven’t already, do yourself a favor and read Kevin’s hilarious review of Serge Noire here. I’ve never smelled it, so can’t say how accurate it is, but definitely one of the funniest (if not funniest) reviews I’ve read.
SOTD is L’Air du Désert Marocain, and it’s lovely, soft and creamy – two or three light spritzes this morning, and it’s still with me at 4 in the afternoon. Mmmm. 🙂
Aahhhh! Reminding me that I need to order a new decant! Thanks 🙂
SOTD was CdG Zagorsk, and I really liked it. In the past, it’s been a little too….something. Sweaty. But on a cool rainy day like today, perfection. I can now totally imagine draining this half-decant that I have left.
I wore Chanel No.5 today, which was nice and comforting on such a rainy day. My all time favorite.
