Well, I’m glad to see the end of that J’adore commercial with the song that sounds like it’s sung by an incongruous Dolly Parton that Dior airs every holiday season. But saying that the past is no place to live in connection with a well established, older perfume makes me wonder if it’s been “youthified” to appeal to a younger market.
It’s already changed…I think they’re trying to make the advertising remind young customers that J’Adore is not an old-lady perfume 😉
I remember when J’adore was released, so dense and complex, right there with Organza and Poeme, I smelled it the other day and it hasn’t changed that much, though. Now, this “new chapter” phrase sounds like reformulation. I hate this Dior habit, it’s so obvious that once in a while they heavily modify their fragrances.
They are one of the worst offenders…but really don’t know that this is about reformulation or just a new marketing approach.
It sounds like they remixed that London Grammar song for the commercial, at least!
The future is obviously horribly reformulated
Yep, and we already knew that.
Did they add the element of ‘smokes like a damn train’ to this?
(She is dating Sean Penn) I know, I know.. I’ll see myself out.
🙂
Oh, there are far worse punch lines about Sean Penn… wrong, just wrong.
