Trish McEvoy 9 Oud ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 12 August 2014 4 Comments

Trish McEvoy 9 Oud

Trish McEvoy has launched 9 Oud, a new flanker to the Trish McEvoy No. 9 fragrance for women.

Discover Trish McEvoy's iconic No. 9 blend re-imagined with the power of Oud in precious perfume oil form. Italian bergamot and succulent crushed berries invigorate with a bright burst of freshness before segueing to a luxurious heart of Egyptian jasmine and purple peonies. Finally a sensual blend of precious oud, sacred sandalwood and rare resins are wrapped in rich vanilla, enveloping the wearer in an aura of beautiful mystique. Opulently housed in a gold-infused, hand-blown bottle, dab the Oil onto pulse points and wear it alone or layered underneath Trish's No. 9 or Sexy 9 eau de parfums.

Trish McEvoy No 9 Oud is available now at Selfridges in the UK, 15 ml Perfume Oil for £175.

Finally! Finally, we can have a sensual oud with resins and vanilla. !!

I have always wished to test her Rose Oud, just to see what she’s doing at that price point. But oud is not my favorite note.

I know, didn’t you breathe a sigh of relief?

Bad on me, can’t remember if I smelled it. But don’t think so. I did finally smell the Precious Pink Jasmine and thought it was quite overpriced.

Seems like a similar idea as the ridiculously expensive Oud oil from Dior (in a 3 ml bottle), to be layered under their other perfumes.
Anyway, there’s not enough real Oud in the world for all these releases, so I think most of it is synthetic approxilstions.
I ‘oudnt want to even sample this one, frankly.

Oh, absolutely most of them are synthetic, and just as well.
