Australian designer Naomi Goodsir has launched Or du Sérail, the brand's third fragrance.
A dreamy meditation on dried fruit and tobacco. If your mind instantly goes to the cherry tobacco that graced your father's pipe in your youth, you're on the right track, but think lighter, airier and more intricate. The fruit is a mix of apple, orange, mango and coconut, drizzled with honey and rum. The rich, golden tobacco is layered with greener, sharper aromatics, like clary sage and mate´. Throw in amber, vanilla and labdanum and you would assume this would be heavy and velvetlike - but instead it gives the impression of silken veils, each opulent and shimmering with fine embroidery, but sheer and vibrant.
Or du Sérail was developed by perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour. Additional notes include davana, beeswax, cocoa, geranium, ylang ylang, oak, cedar and musk.
Naomi Goodsir Or du Sérail is available now at Luckyscent, $187 for 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

I loved this: “If your mind instantly goes to the cherry tobacco that graced your father’s pipe in your youth, you’re on the right track, but think lighter, airier and more intricate.”
That instantly took me back to my childhood when my dad smoked a pipe. The most amazing smell ever! Good memories!
This fragrance sounds amazing!
You must try it then 🙂
This is on my “to buy” list, along with CDG’s Wonderoud and Girl, Kerosene’s Dirty Flowers and Olfactive’s Ombre Indigo. I’m getting very impatient waiting for them to go on sale!
You mean waiting for mark downs? Would not think that would be easy to find for these…
Dear fantastic Robin…I absolutely want this and Cdg Wonderoud but due to the fact that in Rome we are like in the third world and everything comes here late late late late ..do you know when these two fragrances will be launched in Rome?..Marina from Cherry near the Spanish steps is a close friend of mine and she will surely have l’Or du Serail but what about Wonderoud?thanks and kisses
Gosh, no idea, sorry!
