Jacques Azagury Black, Yellow, White, Wenge, Green & Pink~ new perfumes

UK-based designer Jacques Azagury has launched six color-themed fragrances: Black, Yellow, White, Wenge, Green and Pink.

Azagury Black ~ "Contrast, Definition, Obscurity, Obsession, Vision." With plum, orange, bergamot, jasmine, rose, muguet, oud, cedarwood, nagarmotha, ambergris, sandalwood and white musk.

Azagury Yellow ~ "Light, Energy, Novelty, Change, Pulsation." With lemon, cardamom, tangerine, grapefruit sorbet, lavender, clary sage, blackcurrant, verbena, white musk, Virginia cedar, amberwood and sandalwood.

Azagury White ~ "Asceticism, Meditation, Confidence, Purity, Rebirth." With ginger, lemon, grapefruit, cistus, cedarwood, caramel, gaiac, opoponax, labdanum, tobacco, vanilla, leather, tonka bean and lorenox (woody-ambery).

Azagury Wenge ~ "Awareness, Sensuality, Harmony, Impetus, Earth." With ginger, saffron, geranium, tuberose, pink pepper, rose, patchouli, oud, nargamotha, vanilla, sandalwood, vetiver, benzoin and patchouli.

Azagury Green ~ "Equilibrium, Knowledge, Harmony, Perseverance, Evolution." With lime, saffron, ginger, carnation, iris, vanilla, tonka bean, sandalwood, gaiac, cedar, amber and white musk.

Azagury Pink ~ "Intuition, Lightness, Relationship, Understanding, Tenderness." With lemon, mimosa, pink pepper, black pepper, ylang ylang, betahydrane, magnolia, may rose, jasmine, peony, sea breeze, mugane, tuberose, white musk, sandalwood and patchouli.

Jacques Azagury Black, Yellow, White, Wenge, Green and Pink can be found now at Jovoy Paris, in 50 ml, concentration unknown, €240 each.

    240 euros???? They sound OK/possibly really rather nice (the ones I could be bothered reading all the notes) but 240 euros for 50ml???? And isn’t wenge a wood rather than a colour. Alright, I know I’m being picky now 😉

      They’re really spendy. His first scent was not that expensive, although it wasn’t cheap — it’s $185 for 50 ml at Henri Bendel.

      And assume they just didn’t want to use the word brown? It’s silly.

      You know, I’m having trouble putting my finger on exactly what seems so cynical about this launch, but I agree — it just seems sort of pointless. But for all I know, they’re fabulous scents.
