A short film inspired by the new Comme des Garçons + Stephen Jones Wisteria Hysteria. Directed by Henry Pincus. General weirdness + very brief partial nudity.

Love it! Instead of being swans, Odette and Odile are lesbian geishas! I have no idea what it has to do with the fragrance but I don’t care, I love the imagery. I especially like the sharp talons on the dark one and as Sally Bowles would have said “the hands of a nun” on the white. Again, LOVE IT!
I love it too…and much more entertaining than other films CdG has done (although actually don’t know if they had anything to do with this, probably not).
Hi. I’ve visited often but have been too shy to comment till now. I love the psychological themes in this one. I was thinking bride rather than geisha. And Odile may be real, or just a fantasy exploring Odette’s inner Id. Forget about the prince! The story doesn’t flesh him out anyway.
In any event, it’s fun to watch and ponder. (I hope my comment is sufficiently related to the perfume. The film is rather abstract…)
Oh, don’t be shy, everyone here is very nice! And furthermore, you do not have to relate all your comments specifically to perfume…we haven’t even smelled it yet anyway!
So welcome 🙂
Thanks!
But it occurred to me just now that my comment about Odette’s inner Id could be read as an endorsement of Freud’s views on same sex love. I just want to emphasize I was speculating; I didn’t mean to be political in any fashion. Thanks again for the welcome. The comments section here is always a delightful read.
Loved the moving mural on the wall! The bottle seems to have an interesting ribbon with a “diamond” on it, but it is an unoriginal shape. Beautiful white dress and tulle headgear. I’m afraid the concept is kind of lost on me but I appreciate it for its artistry.
Wonderful – the scent awakens the Id, and she is enchanted by it. An Id/Ego dance of new beginnings.
Oh I like that interpretation! I’m going with that.
Wow! It makes me wonder, all over again, what that last Serge Lutens video was meant to achieve???
This one packs a real punch!

I liked the credit ‘wisteria tamer’, whatever that may be.
