Tocca Simone ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 7 February 2014 6 Comments

Tocca Simone

Tocca will launch Simone, a new "tomboy" fragrance blending feminine florals with notes usually found in men's cologne. Other recent fragrances from Tocca include Liliana and Margaux.

Simone, our newest "girl", is our first tomboy! An adventurous, fearless beauty, she has a tropical mix of frangipani & watermelon combined with fresh aquatic notes. With one spritz- you can forget about the weather outside!

The notes feature apple, watermelon, lemon, calypsone, frangipani, ylang ylang, rose, freesia, creamy lactones, blond woods, musk, amber and nirvanolide.

Tocca Simone will be available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

Any way to keep all the Toccas straight ? They are a blur of manes to me…

A blur of manes…best typo of the day!

But no, I don’t know one. I liked the idea of using female names, but once there are more than 10 of them it really is hard to keep them straight. And the one I remember best is still Stella, one of the first.

Is there any word as to when this will be available for purchase? Or if they’ll have samples made? :)

Sorry, I don’t know! But if they’re talking about it on FB & Pinterest, guessing it is soon.

“apple, watermelon, lemon, calypsone” sounds much more like a Victoria’s Secret Pink! fruit salad than a sophisticated tomboy scent to me but who knows! I was incredibly excited by the press and notes for Margaux but found the juice entirely forgettable when I got to sniff it. I also adore “Brigitte”, though it is rarely talked about in the blogs.

It does sound fruity, but guessing it’s going to be much fresher than a VS scent. We’ll see!
