Aramis has launched Perfume Calligraphy Saffron, a new unisex fragrance geared towards the Middle Eastern market. Perfume Calligraphy Saffron follows 2012's Perfume Calligraphy and 2013's Perfume Calligraphy Rose.
The golden aura of the Aramis Saffron Perfume Calligraphy fragrance opens as vibrant colorful notes of marigold and bergamot unleash a luminous splash of freshness. The heart, composed around the juice's namesake, is a blend of precious Turkish Rose Absolute and soothing lavender, highlighting Saffron's indulgent signature. To capture the ambivalent strength and softness of Saffron, the drydown reveals powerful notes of leathery Styrax and smoky vetiver, softened with balsamic nuances of tonka beans, to create a magnetic trail.
Aramis Perfume Calligraphy Saffron is available now at Neiman Marcus, $125 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I love saffron! If saffron were to become the new our, that would be just fine with me.
er, “oud” not “our.”
It is so ubiquitous that I knew what you meant immediately! I like saffron too, so hope it doesn’t become the new oud just so I don’t get sick of it 🙂
Its so annoying – my spell check insists on changing oud to our. I have to change it back about 3 times!
I once or twice had rice cooked with saffron and now often when I smell saffron in a perfume it makes me think of the dish and is somehow unappealing as a personal scent. Hopefully it will not be too dominant though as it does sound lovely combined with Bergamot and lavender.
The good news is – this will make me wait before I invest in the Calligraphy Rose – and anything that can stall me is a good thing, lol!
Sorry to say I have not tried any of this series, and don’t think I’ve seen them at my local NM either. Will have to look next time…
