Liquides Imaginaires Dom Rosa, Bloody Wood & Bello Rabelo ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 29 November 2013 6 Comments

Liquides Imaginaires Dom Rosa, Bloody Wood & Bello Rabelo

French niche line Liquides Imaginaires has launched Eaux Sanguines, a trio of wine-inspired fragrances: Dom Rosa, Bloody Wood and Bello Rabelo (above right). The new fragrances join the existing Eaux Delà trio: Sancti, Fortis and Tumultu (above left).

Dom Rosa ~ "Dom Rosa, Champagne rosé. The scent of a rose sacrificed for the beauty of wine. An age-old champagne ritual. Flower of passion, its excitement gives way to a romantic and mysterious charm. A perfume for passion." With champage, pomelo, pear, rose, clove, frankincense, woods, cedar, vetiver and lignum vitae.

Bloody Wood ~ "Bloody Wood, Grand cru bourgeois Wine, a gift from the gods, has been the symbol of resurrection and eternal life from time immemorial. A fragrance that extols intellectual and sensual passions. Bloody Wood is a silent duel that releases its truth in its “juice”. A perfume for challenges." Featuring notes of wine, violet, rose, cherry, raspberry, sandalwood and oak.

Bello Rabelo ~ "Bello Rabelo, Hero of Porto. This fragrance is a “hero”, the fervent blood of a fighter. Like the Rabelo boats that gained strength in the wind, it has a taste for risk-taking and intrepid adventures. A perfume of adventure." The notes include wine, dried fruits, immortelle, labdanum, vanilla, woods and benzoin.

Liquides Imaginaires Dom Rosa, Bloody Wood and Bello Rabelo are available now at First in Fragrance in Germany, 100 ml Eau de Parfum, €160.

Ok, I admit I don’t get what’s funny about that one? Other than the usual overblown language. Please ‘splain!

I just smelled a sample of Dom Rose which seemed fine, a tinge of green and pleasantly light. Staying power was not so much but I cannot be sure, lightly spritzed. I am thinking
Aerin’s new rose is more tempting, but then I do like anything that reminds me of the original ‘lipstick rose’ from Malle.

Thanks, nice to hear a report on these — haven’t seen them anywhere.

I sprayed this on today – initially it seemed too similar to many other rose fragrances but it settled really beautifully with the pomelo and frankincense coming in later – very warm.

P.s. Update – a few hours later it has rather disappointingly turned into an exact (to my memory) copy of Agent Provocateur and hasn’t shifted since. Might just be on me though.
