Soivohle Carpathian Oud

Indie brand Soivohle’ will launch Carpathian Oud later this month. Three additional fragrances, Anubis, Ambre Rayonner and Dog Star, launched earlier this year. All four scents join the Soivohle' Mixed Media collection.

Carpathian Oud ~ "A sensual earthy floral perfume that channels the essence of Bram Stokers Dracula. Taking from the natural flora of the Carpathian Mountains and mixing it with a bit of fantasy and lore." With wild mountain poppy, laurel, rhododendron leaf, dianthus, blood cedar, oakmoss accord, violet/orris, black amber, soft earth and oud.

Anubis ~ "As an artist I have always been inspired by myth and lore, with anubis my aim was to bring new life to this ancient god, one who's duty's [sic] included preparing the mummies for their eternal rest, as well as being a conduit to the afterlife, with a complex pairing of harmonious notes resonating like a reed in the wind, with freshly turned earth, sacred spices and oud, a hint of tuberose and jasmine, carnation, wild oranges, a hint of rose, immortelle, patchouli, sweet myrrh, amber, moss and musk."

Ambre Rayonner ~ "A bright uplifting amber with soft floral elements, citrus top notes and a rich (but not heavy) natural amber base." With lemon, mango, bergamot, linden blossom, rose, spices, violet, amber, woods and musk.

Dog Star ~ "Our first essence that was created specifically to be an Cologne. Dog Star is a straight up Smoky Patchouli and Vetiver with a dominant Cologne Accord with a fresh Citrus, watery feel. Accompanying notes include, Peach Accord, Choya Nakh, Sandalwood, Creamy Musk and Vanilla Bourbon Accord."

Sorry to double comment but is Soivohle natural perfumery?
A while ago I was looking at a biopiracy article and I didn’t read it (I saved it for later but lost the link) but oud was on there. I generally assume oud in perfume is synthetic (which is fine by me) but natural perfumers releasing oud fragrances kind of makes me narrow my eyes.

They do have a line of natural perfumes, but none of the scents announced above are from that line.

They use Laotian oud in their natural perfumes. I guess you can get oud from Laos.

I received teeny preview samples of Ambre Rayonner and Anubis with summer purchases AR is a lovely buoyant amber with a citric/ozonic edge; Anubis is the polar opposite, a deep chocolatey oud with some surprise touches of fresh green. Both wonderful!
