Swedish niche line Agonist Parfums has launched Isis, a new fragrance:

Inspired by the exact moment when a bud burst and new life begins this fresh and vibrant unisex fragrance is a true work of art. With a unique composition of the highest quality raw materials available this vibrant unisex fragrance has a fresh top with a beautifully deep body.

The notes feature cistus, green tangerine, ylang ylang, black pepper, ginger, anise, peach, caramel, heliotrope, nutmeg, amber, musk, benzoin, vanilla, labdanum and lorenox (Mane molecule).

Agonist Isis is available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum, in the art glass edition (above left, €1200) or spray (above right, €125).

I have to admit that I am intrigued, even if the repetition of the phrase “vibrant unisex fragrance” sets my teeth on edge (once is eye-rolling enough! twice is bad editing!).

It is. Maybe they stuck 2 separate descriptions together. But the brand does do nice fragrances!

They do! But you would think for what they charge they could at least have someone read it out loud before sending it off to be printed :-)

For some reason, the bottle reminded me of cough syrup that’s yellow and that yellow mouthwash, Cepacol. The notes are interesting on this, haven’t smelled anything from this line.

Kevin has smelled more of them than I have, but I did like those I smelled.

I would love to sniff this. I have the refill bottle of Liquid Crystal (alas, no, not the fancy shmancy bottle) and I adore it. It’s evidently been reformulated, but I didn’t smell the original, so ignorance is bliss!

I actually don’t usually like the bottles (fortunately), but I do really like this one.
