Laboratorio Olfattivo Salina ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 1 July 2013 9 Comments

Laboratorio Olfattivo Salina

Italian niche line Laboratorio Olfattivo has launched Salina, a new fragrance that evokes a walk on a deserted beach just before sunset. It is named for the Italian island.

Salina was developed by perfumer David Maruitte; the notes include lemon zest, sea salt, pine needles, hot sand, myrtle, absinthe, marine spray, lavender, vanilla, white musk and cedar.

Laboratorio Olfattivo Salina is available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I’m looking forward to tring it, Laboratorio Olfattivo is a great brand. I especially like Daimiris, Noblige and Rosamunda.
Putting Salina on my list of things I should sample

I have pretty much given up on new aquatics…I really only like 2 or 3 and don’t need more. But of course this could be wonderful!

I too have also given up! Though, I do love the Azur line of goodies from Thymes.

This intrigues me, even though I’ve not tried anything else from this line and am not a fan of aquatics in general. Still…

meh. i haven’t been impressed so far with their line, probably cozumel is the best i’ve tried so far (which i also own after succumbing to the temptation of an almost 50% discount on ebay), and which i found very similar to eldo tom of finland but i prefer tom of finland and i know cozumel will end up back on ebay.
the market has already some brilliant salt/sea based perfumes, mh fleurs de sel (own – brill), tdc sel de vetiverI (own – brill), ag vetiver (own – again, brill), sel marin, profumum acqua di sale, pg harmatan noir (own), cbihp mr hulot’s holiday, pdf tirrenico, ag eau du fier (own, absolutely uniqe), etc, etc, etc. it’s a crowded market and i hope they’ll succeed, i’d be curious to see the combination of salt and absinth. however, based on their earlier offerings, i’m not holding my breath.

Thanks, nice list of salt & sea scents. I’ll add my favorite: CSP Aqua Motu.
