Sonoma Scent Studio Spiced Vetiver Citrus ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 7 May 2013 14 Comments

Sonoma Scent Studio perfume bottle

Indie line Sonoma Scent Studio has launched Spiced Citrus Vetiver, the second in the brand's range of all natural fragrances (the first was Cocoa Sandalwood).

This all-natural perfume blends woodsy Sri Lanka and Indonesian vetivers with sweet, tangy blood orange and a spice accord of ginger, cinnamon, and clove. Jasmine sambac and precious osmanthus absolute round out the heart, while Mysore sandalwood, Virginia cedar, and vanilla provide grounding basenotes. The combination of vetivers with a generous amount of rare Mysore sandalwood provides a smooth, soft woodsy drydown. This is a different take on vetiver -- gentle enough to wear when an unobtrusive scent is needed, but with special ingredients that appeal to the niche perfume lover. For women and men.

Sonoma Scent Studio Spiced Citrus Vetiver is available in 5, 17 and 34 ml.

This is a magnificent perfume from Sonoma Scent Studio. Courtesy of Laurie I tried a pre-release version of Spiced Citrus Vetiver. I really loved this one, as well as Cocoa Sandalwood. If you’re interested you can read a double review of these two on my blog.

Agreed. It is really sultry, perfectly balanced and just ideal for spring. I’m halfway through my sample and a larger bottle is definitely in my future. Another beautiful perfume from Laurie and Sonoma Scent Studio. I don’t think I’ve tried one I don’t like (if not love) from her yet. 🙂

Yeah, Laurie is quickly becoming one of my favorite noses. I am past due for another set of samples, and this sounds like it belongs on the list of must-tries.

Chiming in to add my two cents – it is beautiful and a FB might be my birthday present to myself this summer.

Robin – I was also a tester on this one and thought of you right off the bat. It has your name all over it – citrus and vetiver. The florals are extremely muted.

I haven’t tried this one, but the Cocoa Sandalwood, which sounded perfect, did not work for me. Though I had on Champagne du Bois today and was craving a bottle. When is the postal system going to improve %$#$$!

I love SSS fragrances, and I’m glad they work so well on me. I just tried my sample of Citrus Vetiver last evening and it is a really beautiful fragrance with such a balance of wood, citrus, and spice! I absolutely love Jour Ensoleille (on my second bottle!). Without fail, I always receive a compliment whenever I wear one of these fragrances, and I always feel so happpy when I’m wearing them. I can’t praise Laurie’s fragrances enough!!!

My, this sounds wonderful! SSS does an amazing job of providing quality scents at affordable prices.; They don’t all “work” for me, but they’re all well-done, artful, and wearable. I’ll have to try this one soon!
