Givenchy Very Irresistible Edition Croisiere ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 27 March 2013 14 Comments

Givenchy Croisière collection 2013, Liv Tyler

Givenchy has launched Very Irrésistible Edition Croisière, a new flanker to 2003's Very Irrésistible Givenchy fragrance. Very Irrésistible Edition Croisière is being released as part of a limited edition cosmetics collection:

Inspired by the afterglow of a sunny getaway, Givenchy Croisière 2013 lets you recreate the warmth of summer, no matter the weather.

With caramelized, sun-kissed skin taking center stage, Givenchy’s Artistic Director for Makeup and Colours, Nicolas Degennes has created a limited-edition array of gem-inspired hues that add a hint of sparkle and a sensual pop of color to eyes, cheeks lips and nails and for the first time ever, completes the collection with a new, fresh, summery twist.

The notes feature bergamot, magnolia, salty accord, rose, peony, gardenia, driftwood, musk and frangipani.

Givenchy Very Irrésistible Edition Croisière is available in 75 ml Eau de Toilette.

Gardenia is not my note..salty gardenia…really not for me!
Darn summer scents…it’s blah season for me..as I like those heavy hitting orientals.

I’m not generally fond of this series whatever notes they use.

I liked the Irresistible L’Intense..and like the bottle too. Dark purple with the white rose. Or was it silver? lol. A bit musky though..I find with that line..most fall on the too musky side for me. I have limits with musk, strict limits, lol.

    Caramelized skin sounds painful.

I was just going to say what AmyT said. Ouch. The scent sounds pleasant enough, if they promise not to try to carmelize my skin with the cosmetics!

I keep reading this as Very Irresistable Edition Croissant, and the model looks like she’s about to say “whut?”.

Bizarre. Previous editions featured a mint note and for a non-rose lover like me it completely made the fragrance wearable. Still, it doesn’t sound so bad, except Lolita Lempicka did the same ages ago with Fleur de Corail, and the list could go on.

Is the model Liv Tyler photoshopped beyond recognition, or is it someone else? I really can’t tell.

If the impression of reviewers in Fragrantica is correct that this smells like Fleur de Coral by Lolita Lempicka, then I might try and like it.
