Charriol Imperial Saphir ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 10 October 2012 10 Comments

Charriol Imperial Saphir

Swiss luxury jewelry and watch brand Charriol has launched Imperial Saphir, a new floral chypre fragrance for women:

Sapphire. A very sought-after precious gem, symbol of wealth, strength and purity. According to legend, it has the power to make life more beautiful…

IMPERIAL SAPHIR – the new fragranced talisman for consistently elegant, glamorous women accustomed to the luxury of Charriol timepiece and jewelry creations – will envelop them with its noble scents, in its deep blue and luminous sapphire-colored bottle.

A sumptuous, enchanting fragrance that will adorn women with an aura of mystery, unique to the sapphire…

Imperial Saphir was developed by perfumers Michel Almairac and Mylène Alran; notes include bergamot, freesia, incense, rose, jasmine, orchid, patchouli, musk and sandalwood.

Charriol Imperial Saphir is available in 30 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I had the same thought. I do love this bottle though.

Actually, it looks very much like the bottle for Byzance.

I was not familiar with Byzance so I had to look it up. Wow. You weren’t kidding. This is quite a blatant copy.

The problem is that before you decide that, you have to go back further in time — Byzance is unlikely to be the first scent that used that general bottle design. When it comes to bottles, there is truly nothing new under the sun!

Yep Boucheron. Mmm. Like the bottle, don’t like the “C”, pet peeve with initials, lol.

Guess this perfume is not for me, as I’m not “accustomed to the luxury of Charriol timepiece and jewelry creations.” Le sigh….
