Posted by Robin on 3 August 2012 14 Comments

Salvador Dali Fabulous Collection

Parfums Salvador Dali has launched the Fabulous Collection:

Four iconic Salvador Dali fragrances gathered in a prestigious collection that highlights their extraordinary character. The bottles are adorned in metallic gold while the fragrances are richer and more concentrated, transforming into precious eau de parfum. An exclusive and ultra-luxurious fragrance collection.

Fabulous 1 (above front center) ~ floral chypre. "The famous lips bottle Salvador Dali designed is bedazzled in gold to celebrate the first and legendary Dali fragrance, a feminine scent with harmonious floral blends of rose and jasmine, and a particularly sophisticated Chypre side. For this limited edition, the fragrance has been reformulated into a richer, more intense eau de parfum." With notes of bergamot, clove, rose, jasmine, mimosa, patchouli, cedar, vanilla, sandalwood, frankincense, musk and amber.

Fabulous 2 (above, second to left) ~ fruity floral. "One of the greatest Parfums Salvador Dali classics, Dalissime Eau de Toilette’s apricot and peach fruity notes have captivated many women. This edition is a celebration of the classic eau de toilette. This fragrance has been more concentrated, metamorphosing into an opulent eau de parfum with the same olfactory notes as the original." With peach, apricot, blueberry, blackberry, rose, jasmine, muguet, tagete, narcissus, musk, vanilla, tonka bean and amber.

Fabulous 3 (far left) ~ amber fruity floral; "Dali Fabulous 3 reinvents the Eau de Rubylips Eau de Toilette, transforming it into a sensual and vibrant eau de parfum. With five sets of embossed lips inspired by Salvador Dali's Ruby Lips brooch, the bottle is sheathed in shiny metallic gold, revealed in all its glory. An extraordinary edition of a fragrance masterpiece with an exquisite scent and radiant beauty." Featuring cotton flower, grapefruit, muguet, magnolia, honeysuckle, pineapple, cedar, amber and musk.

Fabulous 4 (far right) ~ spicy amber woods. "A tribute to Salvador Dali's ultimate dandy sophistication and taste for luxury, Dali Fabulous 4 is a masculine eau de parfum in a limited edition, with a more intense interpretation of the Salvador fragrance. A spicy, woody and amber fragrance sheathed in brilliant gold as opulent as the fragrance." The notes include Nashi pear, berries, cinnamon, cedar, sandalwood, incense, vanilla, amber and musk.

The Salvador Dali Fabulous Collection can be found now at the Roja Dove Haute Perfumery at Harrods in London, in 100 ml Eau de Parfum, £120 each.

Four fragrances launched today called Fabulous; these three and Isaac Mizrahi. That is an unfortunate record 🙂

Hey, you missed one! There are 4 of these, so the total for today is 5 🙂

The PR people in both companies must be climbing the walls. Nice collection from Dali, that’s a good way of re-introducing the older fragrances, but the price is steep.

I don’t know — it’s not like Mizrahi’s scent will be in the Roja Dove Haute Perfumery, nor will the Dali scents be in Bloomies.

harrods have been selling these for a few months now so not really “launched today”. they are now EDP’s and a lot stronger and more complex.

Fabulous 3 is my favourite – love it so much i bought it on the spot! Loved fabulous 4 too but its a dead ringer for Tom Ford Tuscan leather (though it was in existence long before TFs version and is half the price of Tuscan Leather so cant really complain about the price for 100ml of EDP) (especially on a harrods 10% off day 🙂 )

Did not say anywhere that they were launched today, nor did I mean to imply that they were.

LOL not you Robin, the first comment was about it being “unfortunate” that 5 perfumes called “fabulous” were launching on same day – Was just clarifying that it isn’t – as they aren’t!

Oh, gotcha! I thought you were complaining about my late news. Which actually you might as well, I’m frequently late.

Oh, this could be really interesting…so far, I like the notes of all of them…but $ 120? Then they have to be really amazing…

I’m afraid in dollars that would be closer to $190!
