Houbigant Orangers en Fleurs ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 25 July 2012 16 Comments

Houbigant Orangers en Fleurs

Houbigant will launch Orangers en Fleurs in August:

Houbigant's newest Quelques Fleurs creation celebrates the Orange Blossom.

The Orange Blossom is a symbol of fertility, of abundance—because Orange trees produce flowers and fruit at the same time—of innocence and marriage by excellence. It is also the emblem of love.

It is an orange blossom note wrapped in a sophisticated perfume blend of Turkish rose absolute warmed by an animalistic note of Egyptian jasmine absolute.

The body is a subtle blend of tuberose and Eau de Brouts absolute, an exclusive Robertet raw material, surrounded by the Ylang Comores essence and slightly spiced by Nutmeg. A cedar wood blend with a touch of musk completes the composition.

Orangers en Fleurs was developed by perfumer Jacques Flori.

Houbigant Orangers en Fleurs will be available in 100 ml Parfum ($600) or 100 ml Eau de Parfum ($180), and can be pre-ordered now at Neiman Marcus.

It all sounds good (especially the nutmeg) bar the tuberose. I really struggle with tuberose-it suffocates me- so I need it to be minimal and very well blended. 100ml of Parfum sounds like an awful lot, though!

Yes, surprised the parfum is not in a smaller size.

Yaay, it’s already available in Poland. Will have to try in the boutique or order a sample

Add me to the list of orange blossom/neroli addicts. 🙂 This sounds beautiful but that really is a *lot* of parfum.

Wow! Houbigant, now that’s a name we don’t hear every day!
When I was 5 or 6, I discovered in a drawer in the guest bedroom a box of cards. These were 3X4 blotting paper cards. On one side was a picture of the bottle of Quelques Fleures. These cards were scented with QF and were, at the time, given to clients as samples. My mom had worked in a department store before getting married and had kept a box. (I never asked… LOL)
For years, I remember going into that drawer just to smell the pretty cards.
This was probably my first experience with perfume.

I’d love to have a good orange blossom scent. My aunt wore something with orange blossom and I wish I knew what it was.

I think I want this and I definitely want the bottle. Maybe I can organize something when it is released here if I love it.

Oh now this really does sound good – but can I add my voice to the ‘100ml?!?!? Really??’ comments.

Oh Lord! I thought Houbigant was the name of a Guerlain perfume!

I’m wearing Canal Flower body cream layered with the new fragrance sample I got from N.M. it is Houbigant Orangers en Fleurs and it is pleasant together not sure if I want to get a full bottle of this although I really loved it at first sniff I also layers well with the Chanel no. 5 bathing, body power and body cream it was gorgeous together, orange blossom, Turkish rose and tuberose with a spiciness to it.
