Scent Bar at Target ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 14 July 2012 12 Comments

Scent Bar at Target, Sunswept fragrance

Luckyscent's Scent Bar* boutique is launching a fragrance range at Target this month:

Scent Bar™ is the first bath and body offering from the famed L.A. fragrance boutique of the same name, long recognized as a unique destination for the world’s most exclusive and unique scents. Proprietors Adam Eastwood and Franco Wright have earned a reputation as Hollywood’s fragrance gurus, guiding women on a voyage to discover their signature scents in the comfort of Scent Bar’s gem-like boutique. Now every woman can discover her signature scents with Scent Bar’s™ first bath and body offering, exclusively at Target and Target.com.

“Our focus was on creating truly wearable scents wrapped in great body products she could use every day – all at a great price. For years we’ve helped women discover fragrances they fall in love with, and we’re thrilled to bring that boutique experience to Target’s specialty bath department” said Adam Eastwood.

There are four fragrances:

Sunswept (shown) ~ "Summer bliss. A citrus twist. Sunswept captures the joy of a sunny day, fragranced with notes of Sicilian orange, sheer lemon and bergamot."

Blush ~ "That playful glance. A new romance. Blush is a toast to the modern flirt, fragranced with notes of sugared peony, cassis and pink champagne."

Cabana ~ "Your private beach. A tropical breeze. Cabana invites you on the ultimate escape, fragranced with notes of coconut, Tahitian vanilla and papaya."

Forbidden ~ "A midnight kiss. Your secret wish. Forbidden is an ode to seduction, fragranced with notes of ruby pomegranate, blackberry and amber."

The Scent Bar fragrances are available in 236 ml Body Mist, $8.99, and in matching body products.

Yay! This is awesome news and all of these fragrances sound perfect for summer or layering under lots of my perfumes (including some gems I’ve bought from Lucky Scent.) It’s also a great idea given the state of the economy. I can still support a business I appreciate if a sales percentage goes to Scent Bar since I don’t shop LS as much as I’d like, and my daughter will love these as well. 🙂

Target’s bath & body section is really fun these days! There are some new scented cleaners from Method coming that I want to try too.

I posted this on the review, but I think Method’s Lemon Verbena anti-bacterial kitchen cleaner smells almost exactly like Ys Uzak Pohadka. It’s really uncanny. When I tried the Pohadka sample I got from LS, I couldn’t shake the association.

Although the scents sound pretty generic, I know I’ll still check them out!

Oooh, I have to look for these. I probably need to bring my own tester strips (ok, I will have to “acquire” them first ) because the big box department stores are notorious for not having them handy nor for having ANYONE nearby from whom to ask!

Will be interesting to see what testers they have at all…I do love Target, but they’re not always the best place to try new things.

I would be curious to smell these. I’m glad incense and oudh is not mainstream enough for target yet!

HA…I wish oud *would* come to Target, so the luxury brands would have to give up advertising it as rare & expensive!
