Juliette Has A Gun Mad Madame ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 6 July 2012 9 Comments

Juliette Has A Gun Mad Madame fragrance packaging

French niche line Juliette Has A Gun has launched Mad Madame, a new fragrance for women:

Look out, Mad Madame is coming and already the rumors are flying. She fascinates, entertains and provokes, leaving a sensual perfumed trail in her wake. Chypre and rose oxide are reworked here in an ultra-modern fashion. Mad Madame dons a scandalous red perfume bottle, printed in black, and utterly bewitching.

Juliette Has A Gun Mad Madame is available now at Colette in Paris, €103 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Harvey Nichols now carry the Juliette Has A Gun line.
I’ve sniffed most of them and they are definitley intruiging, though not to my taste. and some of them can be overpowering. I think the one I liked most was Miss Charming, but I’m not sure I remember.

oh, I sniffed “Not A Perfume” too – it barely smells of anything! it smells more like a musk/base scent, something to layer with.

the bottles are absolutley stunning. I want them all just for the bottles!

I would agree — well done, not my taste. And not adventurous enough to match the names!

Does anyone at these brands actually read the copy? Is there anyone in the world who would find the use of a red bottle scandalous? For heaven’s sakes,Tide laundry detergent comes in a red bottle.

I wonder, are these still being created by Francis Kirkdijan?

I think that if they were, they’d announce it. But, also haven’t seen any press materials on this one, just the description at Colette.
