French niche line Les Parfums de Rosine has launched Lotus Rose, a new fresh floral for women:
When a lotus flower smell meets the fragrance of a rose, a new perfume is born. This improbable encounter happened in a beautiful and amazing place: the Isola Madre garden.
"During a morning walk, the vapours at the surface of the lake were still there, when the sun gently rising in the horizon and suddenly I was captivated by an incredible perfume.
Soft like silk, a lotus was developing its watery yet sweet smell, and was interfused in the freshness of an ancient climbing rose bush.
I wanted to capture this wonderful perfume, and with the help of [perfumer] François Robert, Lotus Rose was created." Marie-Hélène Rogeon.
Notes include bergamot, mandarin, citrus, coriander, neroli, lotus, jasmine, rose, iris flower, sweet pea, amber, sandalwood, musk and okouma wood.
Les Parfums de Rosine Lotus Rose is available now at First in Fragrance in Germany, in 50 or 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I quite liked this; a watery rose. I have to have another sniff at my sample, I remember that it was distinctly different from the others. I was testing a drop of all of them on different body parts though, so I can’t remember exact details.
Good to know, thanks!
Oh dear – only available overseas??? This sounds like something truly new. Maybe I can locate it at Barneys.
I am sure it will get to the US eventually!
I like the sound of a watery rose!
So do I. I’m kind of surprised though, that there was no Mother’s Day launch/push for it here. Seems like it would have been a perfect pick, from a marketing standpoint.
New Rosine scents almost never get here until months after they’ve launched in France.

Sounds good to me – rose and lotus are both favorites of mine. I hope it arrives here soon!
